Pre booked at tire change at 10AM, they were not ready to start so it stayed in the lot for an hour. They lied on the phone about having started it. Took over two hours to complete. Sad for what should have been a quick simple job.

I have always enjoyed PepBoys with my vehicles. I never had recurring problems when PepBoys worked on my vehicles in the past. I did not have repairs done this time. I had my diagnostics done and since the wife and I were already thinking of getting a new vehicle, and were in the process of getting the new vehicle that day, I never had the repairs done and used my vehicle as a trade-in. As in the past, I know if I had repairs done on my car, it would have gone many years as before without problems.

This is the worst auto shop I have ever been to. My vehicle was having misfire issues and I was told I had to replace the spark plugs and ignition coils to fix the issue. I come to find out later that they only replaced 1 ignition coil and not all 4. After my first visit I noticed my car would shake at high speeds, so I took it back and I was told I had to balance the tires, but it still didn’t fix the issue. I took it to Firestone and they literally showed me that a slightly bent tire rim was causing the car to shake and that it had nothing to do with balancing the tires. After my second visit my vehicle was continuing to have misfires so I took it back and they told me I needed to replace the thermostat, again I come to find out later by Firestone that the thermostat had nothing to do with the misfires. That same day I had an appointment at 10am and on the paperwork it states vehicle promised at 12pm. It’s getting close to closing time and my vehicle still isnt ready and on top of it they ordered the wrong part and tell me I have to leave my vehicle overnight. My fourth visit just like my third visit I have an appointment at 10am and they tell me it will be a few hours before they even service my car, whats the point of scheduling an appointment if your vehicle is not going to be serviced until hours later, no other auto shop does this, so I decided to leave. That same day Firestone finds out that they didn’t reset the codes and thats what was causing the misfires and now my car is working just fine. Just like they did with the thermostat they were going to charge me to replace 3 ignition coils for no reason because they knew that was not going to fix the misfire issue and both of these fools are managers. Imagine having to make a living by manipulating customers on a daily basis.

My experience at the Pep Boys on Broadway was phenomenal and surpassed my expectations. I was helped by Alberto “Beto”, who made me feel like he was as concerned with my situation as much as I was. I 100% recommend this location as all the staff there make you feel welcomed and open to assisting you with any issues you may have. I took in my Jeep Wrangler to have some parts replaced that were in horrible condition. I purchased the car about 1 week ago and did not realize how bad of a condition it was in with those specific parts. Beto even went as far as helping solidify my case with the dealership I purchased the car from in paying for the majority of the repairs. I had been going back and forth for over a week with the dealership and Beto gave me more ammo to close my case with them. If you need work done to your car, I highly recommend this location and do not forget to ask for Beto. Thank you Pep Boys!

After gathering my car info he explained to me the process & products available as well as the pricing. He told me the the estimated time to complete the service and texted me the link to track the status of my vehicle. It was ready in under an hour which was much faster than they estimated.
