I bring my Tesla for inspection, and they damaged my windshield tint. **update - two weeks after my review, Asif contacted me and asked me to bring my car in. He confirmed the damage, requested I repair it, and submit the receipt. I did so, but after he said he would follow up with his manager, I never heard back.

Came for tire’s rotation and balancing. They done it in 15 minutes. That’s impressive and impossible. Paid $92plus. Went to another tire shop to check tires balance. It’s way off balance. Redone it and paid again. Came back with receipt and asked for refund for lousy and fake service. They told me to get lost. Never coming back again for service here. It’s terrible service and I lost all day thanks to these guys. Plus safety issues with car if service wasn’t done or done lousy. Three weeks later update: The post sorry from the company didn’t get me back my money. They just wanted to collect my personal information and start investigation.

They are a ripoff artist. Said going fix one tire. They tried to sell 4. Three hours. Forceful pushing. A disgrace. 385 for one tire. Never come here.

don’t even come for an oil change you’ll be back in a month or less cuz of the terrible chinese filters and amateur. did a test to see if these big name shops are even half decent and your better off watching youtube videos and doing it yourself plz run

I’m pretty disappointed with Pep Boys, as I got a flat tire a few months ago, and they sold me a tire. That new tire was flat today, and they advised there is no warranty or anything for that tire, I’d have to go through the manufacturer. Who knows how long this new tire will last. Just feel like they sold me a bad product and now I’m paying for it twice. It’s a drag.the service was great though.

I had made an appointment for tire installation 30 days in advance. But even then on days of service, even after 2 hours of waiting that too at 4PM the extremely rude and obnoxious store manager said that his tire guy went for lunch and my car will be serviced as soon as he comes back . After sitting in the car across the street for 30 minutes I came back inside to ask the manager what happened, the first thing that came out of his mouth was I took the keys and he had to wait !!!!!! Then instead of apologizing he kept treating me as I am his subordinate or if he was doing me a favor by installing the tires that I had purchased online. On top of it all he took the keys of second car and parked it for the tires to be installed before me . So he was getting back at me for giving him his piece of mind. Took the tires that I had purchased online because it was cheapest there because of the installation charges that I had to get from Pepkids. Got the refund from online sales store for rude and unprofessional behavior of Pepboys store manager. In front me while waiting on reception the sales lady was quoting an astronomical price to a potential buyer and he calmly walked out. No wonder this Pepkids is going out of business. This is my second worse experience at this specific store. They deserve that their store is relying on oil change and brake jobs now without any store sales. Soon they will go out of business without those online retailers sales installations that comes their way.

Last Saturday, I visited Bayside Pepboys to exchange four new tires and have my wheel alignment done. However, on Wednesday morning, I noticed that one of my rear tires (passenger side) had low pressure, and the TPMS light was on. I went to a gas station and pumped air into the tire, but after work, the pressure dropped again, and the light came on. I repeated the process at another gas station, but the issue persisted. This morning, it happened once more. I’ve made another appointment with Pep Boys this Saturday, hoping they can fix the problem this time. This is incredibly frustrating and makes me extremely nervous to drive the car. I believe that the tire technician who worked on my tires on Saturday didn’t do a good job, so I’ve given this service one star.

Just brought vehicle back to Pep Boys in Bayside! I explained that in one week I needed to add air to the same tire twice! I was told there were no leaks in my tire, and it could be because of the weather 😳 I then told the young man who checked the tire I’ve been driving longer than he’s been alive and that’s impossible. Called customer service and they will investigate!! See what happens with my tire and the investigation! 🤔

In and out. Super easy. They were able to schedule me for a last minute much needed oil change right after work before my long drive out for the weekend. The corporate phone operator for pep boys misread their availability, but the team at this location around Bayside, NY adapted and accommodated me anyway to keep the company promise. This is why they’re my go-to oil change guys.

When I first got there one of the guys seemed grumpy and quite unhelpful and I was getting frustrated and almost left but then someone else directed me to talk to Andre and he was absolutely wonderful. I came in the evening after Christmas concerned about one of my tires that had a visible gash in the side and was holding air - but it was low. It was busy in the store, they closed soon and we were expecting snow that night. He still took the time to give my tires a quick look and walked me through the issue and explained what my options were. I ultimately decided I wanted all new tires but he didn’t have the ones I wanted in stock. He was able to order them for me and called me a few days later when they arrived. When I called back Asif assisted me (Andre was off) and he was very nice too. If you have Andre or Asif help you then you are in very good hands. It’s difficult to reach them by phone sometimes, the calls often go to their answering service - but if you keep trying eventually you’ll get someone who is actually in the store on the phone. Thank you Andre and Asif!

I would like to extend my appreciation to Andre for his initial assistance and for taking the time to clearly explain the issue with my car when the air conditioner was turned on. He was efficient and thorough in his explanation, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised that Pep Boys’ pricing was less than half of what I was quoted elsewhere—and their service included additional items that were not part of the other estimate. Kadeem, who worked on my car, demonstrated excellent professionalism. He was straightforward, efficient, and focused on completing the necessary repairs without delay. Both Andre and Kadeem provided outstanding customer service, and I would gladly recommend them and Pep Boys to my family and friends.

Great customer service and attention to my car. I often come for oil change, state inspections, and other necessary maintenance. Recently I got my water pump/belts replaced and the staff did a great job. Andre, Angela and Kareem were patient in explaining the parts that needed to replaced and did a great job on the repair.

I had to get a wheel alignment done yesterday, so I went to Pep Boys. I had made a reservation the day before, so I arrived on time. They told me to park the car outside, so I parked it, handed over the keys, and went home. However, by evening, I hadn't heard anything, so I called the store. They said they still didn't know the status of my car or the progress of the work. The next morning, I went back to the store, and they told me they hadn't even started working on my car yet. When I asked why, they said the wheel alignment machine was broken, and repairs wouldn't start until Monday (today is Saturday). I asked why I hadn't received any updates the day before, and they said they tried to call me. When I told them I never got a call, they quickly changed their story and said they were about to call me. The conclusion is that they never called to update me and just left work without telling me anything. Anyway, they told me they'd fix it on Monday, and since a snowstorm was coming, they said they would move my car to the indoor garage, so I went home thinking everything was fine. Later that evening, I was driving with my kids to go out to eat, and since our route passed by Pep Boys, I noticed that the store was closed, and my car was still parked outside (ready to be hit by the blizzard. Damn them). So, I went home, grabbed the spare key, and brought my car into my garage. Everything they say is either an excuse, a lie, or just pleasant-sounding words. Pep Boys was never like this before, but it seems like it's really gone downhill. I’ve been a regular customer here for a long time, but the new staff just talks a good game and doesn't seem to know how to work.

Amazing service, this shop works very quickly, and they're very friendly! The entrance was a bit hard to find, since there's not parking lot. But they were able to let me in quickly so I didn't have to keep my car on the street. I made an appointment in advance for 8am but then I forgot about my appointment, so I called to ask if I could come a little late, and he told me no problem at all. I arrived at 9am, and waited in the waiting room for an oil change and inspection. My car was done in 40 mins! I couldn't believe it! I've never had service that quickly before I was a bit suspicious. But my car seemed fine. The oil change was $90 and the inspection was $37, I asked if there were any coupons for the oil change and he said normally there is one for $20 but it hasn't been around for a while. Everyone was very friendly, they saw I had an injury, so a lady who worked there offered to carry my bag. Highly recommend this place! And I highly recommend an appointment to get in and out of there quickly as they do they busy as the day goes on.

I had to come in to get 4 new tires and my breaks replaced, I made my appointment online but then called just to make sure they had what I needed in stock. I spoke to Andre on the phone and he was so helpful and nice. He told me to try and come in early and he would be able to get me in earlier than my appointment, when I got there, he took the car right in and I was out of there in about an hour and a half. Everyone working there was so nice and the service was quick. Andre even let me know about a special that they were having on the brakes so I was able to get money off. Although I still had to spend so much money on all of this, it was so helpful to have gotten that discount and to have been helped by such great people. I'll definitely be going back to this location in the future and I recommend you do to!

Very bad experience at Pep Boys. I specifically asked the worker to change the rear tires only, and instead he changed the front tires. When I pointed it out, he tried to blame me, saying the front tires were the ones I requested and that they were “correct.” I knew exactly what I asked for, and thankfully his coworker came over, checked the situation, and confirmed that I was right and that the mistake was made by the employee. No apology, no accountability — just excuses. On top of that, the wait time was extremely long for something that should have been simple, and communication was terrible the entire time. This kind of careless work and attitude is unacceptable, especially when it involves safety like tires. I will not be coming back and do not recommend this location.

Amazing service. I went in for a car inspection on Friday 2/12 at around 5pm. Although I showed up pretty late in the evening, I was greeted warmly by Asif. He was welcoming, patient and completed my inspection quickly. I will definitely be back for more services!
