Gary retired and unfortunately it takes the new guys an insane amount of time to finish with vehicles. If u have spare vehicles then it might be OK otherwise beware the long waiting periods on repairs.

Great mechanic. Actually shows you problem areas not just suggesting things be fixed to upsell. Fair and reasonable pricing. (Went to a specialty mechanic who diagnosed same problem at twice the price!) Not always super fast but worth the wait. 😃

These guys do a great job of showing you what was done to your car. I have never felt ripped off. But I do think they have a bad habit of underestimating the time it will take to fix the problem.

Excellent service. Most importantly they know what they are doing. Had a noise coming from the front end of truck and it was identified driving it once around the block, which 2 other shops in New Orleans could not figure out. Also found halfass work done from one of those shops and got it right. Highly recommend if needed.

Notice how most of the 5 star reviews are for Gary, the former owner of this place. He was a rare find: a mechanic who actually knew his way around cars and fixed it as cheaply and effectively as he could. He was as honest as the day was long. But when he sold it, the place got a new name and management style. Unfortunately service has been downhill from there. The new owner, Perry, is a scam artist. He takes your car for weeks and does nothing to it. Your car will still have the same issues and make the same noises. And when you call or bring it back in, he tells you it's another thing. So you repeat the cycle. Unfortunately, I didn't question him until I out thousands of dollars and the car was still rattling. When my wheel finally fell off from a broken axle, I brought it to another place that fixed the axle the first time. And I got my car back the next day! Oh, by the way, I bought in the car 2 years before the tire came off for that problem and supposedly Perry replaced it and everything else associated. The new mechanic showed me all the parts and how that couldn't possibly be true.

I was a loyal customer when this location was Adam's Automotive, but when it switched owners to Perry the service went down hill! I was supposed to have my car fixed in one day, the mechanic told me to drop it off at 9am so I could pick it up before close. The garage was shut and the doors where locked . After waiting a half hour I noticed someone else in the parking lot. I asked him if he had been waiting long, he said that the head mechanic "is not good with mornings" and may not be in until noon. Needless to say he lost my business. Would not recommend. Grossly unprofessional.

Gary used to take care of my car, but retired and left the shop to some of his employees. Went in expecting the same level of professionalism and fair pricing, but sorely disappointed. Brought my car in because of a jerking while idling problem it's had for a year. They told me they were finished and it would be $240 over the phone, got there and it was $310...to replace spark plugs. Not only was this way overpriced for spark plugs, but didn't fix the problem at all. Not going back

I have been dealing with Adams for years now. They are fair, honest and know what they are doing. Other than oil changes, I service my vehicles only with Adams. I have continued to bring my cars to Perry Automotive (Previously Adams). I have not been dissapointed. For example, my brother in law had a truck that was running with little power. Some mechanic in town was estimating a repair for more than $3,000. Perry got him on the road running great for less than $500.

I really appreciate the guys at Perry’s. They’ve helped me tremendously as my Jeep decided to act up just as I moved back to this area. Perry is knowledgeable and very kind. He has installed a new radiator in my Jeep and I got a new sensor today. I was able to bring my Jeep in. He fixed it right away. His customer service is great. His prices are also affordable. I appreciated being able to bring my vehicle to him. And get it back in a reasonable time frame.

I've been to Perry's Automotive 3 times and each time they get me in and out as quickly as possible, do a great job fixing my car, and don't charge me an arm and a leg. Very professional service provided by competent mechanics. I strongly recommend going to Perry's.
