Honestly, I knew the problem. I knew I needed the downstream O2 sensor. I paid 156 for them to tell me that. Was told the part was 130. The total price would be 422. But only if I paid 200 so they could order the part. I ordered the part the next day and got it fixed for 168. Part and labor. I wasted time and money

Very Professional staff and crew. This is the place to bring your vehicle if you want the job done correctly the first time., without overcharging you for something you didn't need. Highly recommend.

Honest people, honest work. Had a check engine light on and they were able to determine what caused it by the reading indicating a sensor issue. Yet, they sent me out the door to pick up my keys and said they could not charge me for work they did not complete. I’m happy they did not take advantage and sent me to the dealer as advised the fix could possibly still be under extended warranty (found out yesterday, it’s not). Still glad they treated me fairly and gave me good advice.

Jason knew just from me describing the problem to him propably what was wrong with my convertible top. He diagnosed the problem and only charged half the diagnostic fee because of his knowledge of my 2003 BMW didn't take long! I highly recommend Phillips tech they are very trustworthy people!

I have been going to Phillips for over 20 years. Jason and the crew have always done a great job and given me a fair shake. I greatly appreciate all they have done for me over the years.

They had a list of my concerns and addressed the issues to my satisfaction. They also pointed out a item that I had corrected at a different shop and they suggested I bring it back to them to correct the installation.

Great Service! I went without A/C and heat on my car for almost 2 years and finally had it fixed. They did a great job with the A/C a few months ago, and then a few weeks ago, I took it back to have the heater fixed. The entire team is so great to work with. Everyone is pleasant and professional. I truly believe they have their customers best interest at heart.

I keep getting emails and texts to leave a review so here it is! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! RUN! Took my newly purchased Camaro SS here under warranty (as they were listed as “in network” with our warranty) for them to not address any concerns we had until we did what they wanted to do on the car first. Obviously, not comfortable with the way they do business we decided to pick the car up. When we did, they lied and told us we had to pay for the diagnostic fee if they didn’t do the work. I then had to call the warranty company and file a claim to get a reimbursement for a fee we never needed to pay. But to top it all off… they put almost 300 miles on the car and had the audacity to list the mileage on the paperwork the same in and out after they put the miles on the car… & we got it back absolutely disgusting, even though we brought it there fresh from the wash a few days prior. I wouldn’t trust these con artists with a 95 corolla. My advice? Spend the extra money on the deductible if you’re under a warranty plan, take your car out of network to a reputable dealership or service center you trust!

Philips Auto Tech is hands down one of the best in town! Jason went above and beyond to make sure I had a smooth, stress-free experience with a repair on my Chevy Colorado. I have a GLE 350 that I just purchased in November of 2024. Car has been a true blessing to my family and myself, being we had just been in an accident that totaled our previous vehicle in September of 2024. Our GLE 350 has given us no issues until after bringing it to Philips for a regular PM March 2025 for which I’ve spent over $1,200. Five days after getting our GLE 350 serviced, we began having trouble. The engine began shaking on acceleration and the check engine light comes and goes. We have brought our GLE 350 back to Philips, twice, and were told the fourth cylinder is misfiring on the second revisit. On the first revisit, the issue stopped, but I was told the light wasn’t on when they checked it. We commute to Columbia each day for work, 100miles both ways, and now, I’ve missed 2 days of work because of this issue and have lost faith in my vehicle, therefore, peace of mind. If this establishment can’t get a simply PM right, should I trust them to actually fix this issue? I really hope they can, but have lost a lot of faith in their abilities.

I came in to get an oil change on My 2008 SLK350. I told Justin that the Level C light was on and that I only wanted to have done what was necessary. I am a federal government employee and I am not getting paid due to the government shutdown. I was told this garage would not do anything that wasn't necessary. He said yes ma'am, I understand. He later called and told me that in addition to the oil change, I needed the brake fluid flushed. I asked him it was absolutely necessary. He said it was. I asked how much and he quote $865.00. Again, I said I am not getting paid; are you sure this is necessary. He said yes ma'am. I told him to go ahead with the oil change and the brake fluid flush. He told me to go on their website and print off a coupon and he would give $50 off when I arrived. When I picked up the car, I paid the bill and asked for the receipt. Once I got home, I reviewed the receipt. They had completed the Level C service which included, changing the interior cabin air filter, replacing the windshield wipers, and adding washer fluid and a few other things that were clearly not NECESSARY!! This was my first and last visit. As a single woman and new to the area, I feel that I was taken advantage of and I will not be back to this garage which came highly recommended by my friends who get their cars serviced there. Ladies should beware!

My first time there, was welcomed immediately and they provided my car the best service. Talked me through everything and got it back to me in the same day. Which very important to me, plus a courtesy ride back to my job.

This was my first time at Philips and the experience could not have been better. The folks at the front desk were professional and organized. Zippy, my car, is humming better than it has in years telling me the technicians are knowledgeable and diligent. I am very grateful to have found a wonderful team I can trust...thank you.

Philip Auto Tech has been my go-to car repair shop for years due to their reliability and exceptional work. However, I recently faced significant issues with the air struts and radiator system in my 2016 BMW 750i. Initially, I visited a competitor to get a price quote for the repairs, but they quoted me exorbitant prices. Since Philip Auto Tech had previously worked on my car, I decided to have it repaired there again. This experience, unfortunately, eroded my trust in other repair shops. Fortunately, Philip Auto Tech not only repaired my car but also resolved the problem at an affordable price. From now on, I will exclusively use Philip Auto Tech for all my car repairs.

I have gotten to know the staff and tec Russell, who has been the primary technician to help me keep my car in top performance. Thanks Russell. We broke down in Columbia on our way to watch our daughter dance qt thw Beta Club Convention in Myrtle Beach. We were two hours from home and two hours from where we were going. By chance, we had our Land Rover towed to Phillips. God was looking out for us. They were honest and fair. They communicated beyond any garage we've ever used. They are a truly incredible business with fantastic customer service. If we ever needed repairs again, we'd be more than happy to drive two hours to them in Columbia.

This is an amazing auto service repair shop. I was treated with respect through the whole process and my Audi was treated with great care. They repaired my Audi for half of what I was quoted at the Audi dealership. They also have always worked miracles, in the past with my Mini Coopers. This auto repair is the BEST in the area. They are competent, reasonable and most importantly honest!
