This is a family-owned business, and they do fabulous work. I have been doing business with them since 1983, and my dad has done business with them since 1958. They are extremely trustworthy and extremely honest, and their prices are reasonable. This business is one of the "old Raleigh" treasures.

Piper's was recommended to me by a friend. For routine maintenance, they were just fine, but there were several miscommunications on larger jobs that resulted in them replacing a part that didn't need to be replaced and charging me in the hundreds of dollars for an issue that another mechanic resolved for under $20. They may have a great reputation, but I was extremely dissatisfied with their ability to target this issue and will not be returning.

Pipper’s Automotive has been my mechanic 7 years and they continue to provide excellent service on all of my family’s vehicles. I recently moved to Greensboro and my car broke down there. I had it towed to a local mechanic who quoted me $3,000 for an engine repair citing a cracked engine as part of the damages. Something felt off though so we had it towed to Pipper’s, and they got my car fixed for $260. There was no crack in the engine. So grateful to have such an honest and hardworking business to send all my vehicles to for repairs.

I had my truck towed in around closing time one afternoon after an ignition problem, and the mechanic at Piper's immediately diagnosed the problem and had it fixed and ready by noon the next day. Their labor price is a little more than I expected but their work is excellent and quick, and Joyce is very kind. I recommend Piper's Automotive!

I found Dane, Jody, and Joyce over 20 years ago for electrical repair and have not looked back. They are professional, fair, smart, and friendly. I've happened to have owned several American vehicles but I believe they will service almost anything. Pipers has spent the time to thoroughly troubleshoot any issue and explain in detail what is going on to me so I can make a decision that fits my budget. No they aren't paying me for this I just am quite happy with their service. Joyce sends a thank you card after every service, can't beat that these days. Thanks guys!

My son broke down and I needed somewhere to tow his car. He lives in Raleigh and I live in Asheville, NC. Pipers came highly recommended to me from a co-worker whos son lives in Raleigh. I called them before they even opened. Dane answered the phone and was so polite and helpful. Needless to say I had his car towed there and they were able to work it in, and have it fixed in a day. I have been looking for an honest mechanic for YEARS in Raleigh and the surrounding area. I live in Clayton and work in WF but it was well worth the trip to bring my car to Pipers for a new clutch. They provided an honest estimate, updates when I needed them, showed me my worn parts, and my car is driving like brand new. Highly recommend this local business!!
