I have a 2010 dodge 1500, they fix the roller arm and cam shaft and fixed it fast and did a great job. my driver's window was having issues rolling up and down, after receiving it back the window malfunctioned so I was able to take it back in and it was fixed under warranty. I highly recommend Pittman's garage.

I was having trouble with my transmission on my Ford. Thankfully the first time I brought it into Pittman’s Garage, it didn’t even take them a day to run diagnostics and fix the problem. They advised that I would need to replace the transmission module. They also let me know that the part was on back order, but the initial fix made the car safer to drive until the part came in so that I wouldn’t have to be without it while we waited on the part being delivered. I brought my car in the next week to have the part changed and they were able to fix it within the week. The price they quoted me on for the part and labor did not change at the time of checkout, which I was grateful for. They gave me some more tips on how to take care of my car and what to avoid to make the newly replaced part last longer. They were very upfront about everything and didn’t try to up-sale me or sneak any hidden fees into the bill. If my car has anymore trouble, I will definitely be reaching out to them again.

I've used them a couple of times now and had a great experience both times. They were highly recommended to me by our family's in-house construction business's mechanic that fixes all of our heavy machinery. First they replaced an O2 sensor on my son's Nissan Sentra and now it works great. The next time they replaced the fuel pump on my other son's Dodge Ram and also replace the crankshaft as well. And they gave me tips on how to cycle the key a few times before we started up for a smoother start after it's been sitting a while. Both times they were very professional, friendly and informative. I also felt they were reasonably priced, especially after getting an estimate from a different place in town that was almost double what Pitman's was going to charge me. I feel like they're an honest company that does reliable work so I will definitely use them again anytime something breaks on our vehicles.

Very good guy and very helpful. Another mechanic in town had my truck for 5 days and still hadn't touched it. This guy sent a tow truck, picked up my truck, and fixed it in less than 24 hours. What a life saver. Took off 1 star because I went to pick up my truck after hours and the coolant resevor was low and they had done cooling system work and charged me for 2 units of coolant. I had to drive to the nearest Walmart, buy some coolant, and burp my heater core for my truck to be fully good to go. Overall, I would use again.

Took my car in almost 4 weeks ago said they could fix the problem would take 3-4days. Btw they don’t ever call you to keep you updated. Had to call multiple times because they would say the car would be done one day then another then another. On top of that they couldn’t give me an actual price because come to find out they had to bring somebody else in to fix my problem and thought they didn’t have to say anything. They said the car would be around $2300-$2400 when the actual bill was $2800!! Whole time they said they couldn’t give me an actual price until the car was put back together because they had to see how much the tech would charge. They fixed my a/c without being told to(they even said it wasn’t on their notes and said we told them!), never put back the cap for the a/c so there’s stuff coming out. They then drove my car over 100 miles! That’s basically taking it out of town! Using over half the tank of my car leaving it on E. And left my interior dirty!!! When I called them they said that they weren’t sorry about driving the car over 100 miles and it was to “test the car”. I will be reporting them because this was unacceptable and they didn’t even care. Anything to get money out of someone.

I have received great service from Pittman’s on multiple occasions. I have found them to be fair and honest. They gave me an estimate on an expensive repair on my RV and when they ran into complications that would have increased the cost they called me to explain, and request my approval to continue. I am very happy with their service and the tech who did the work was communicative and courteous. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed in my experience there. If you speak to a mechanic on the first time you call do not expect them to relay to the office what you have asked for. Requested a diagnostic before a very expensive repair when spoke to the mechanic the first time I called. Was told later I didn’t give all of those specifics to the office as well so sorry about your luck here’s the total and it wasn’t the problem on your car so it’s actually not going to work anymore. Will not use this shop again

They have had my FIL's truck since August 14th. Told him it would be a week. He called to check on it and was told the parts had come in days before, but they forgot about it. My FIL has been waiting to hear from them, but they STILL haven't fixed his truck. I called and explained that they have had it for too long, and asked when it would be ready. The manager, (Kale? Gale?) didn't know. He was extremely defensive and not at all apologetic. I asked that they give my FIL a discount because they have given the worst customer service I've ever seen. He asked where I worked, which I said was irrelevant. He asked if I would give a discount on parts that I didn't have any control over. I countered that actually, yes, I would because that's good customer service, and that it wasn't an issue with parts. THEY FORGOT ABOUT IT FOR A WEEK! When you make a mistake like that, you make it right. "Well, I apologized to him." Well, your apology doesn't make up for horrible customer service or the time we've been waiting for this vehicle to be fixed. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Don't use this shop. They need to learn what good customer service is!

My parents have taken both of their vehicles to this shop, and unfortunately, each time they came back in worse condition than they went in. My mom’s car needed a new AC compressor. They claimed to have fixed it, but just minutes down the road, it stopped working again. My dad’s truck was towed in for a timing chain replacement. Despite that, they turned it on and drove it—ignoring the reason it was towed. It also had a full tank of gas when it arrived, but came back on empty. They kept the truck for an extended period, charged $2,000, and made no real progress. In the end, my family fixed it ourselves in four days for just $400. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this shop.

Walked in and they told me to wait because she was giving her bird medicine…there was bird poop on the back of her chair, a few feet away complimentary drinks…not the most sanitary. Next thing, they immediately asked me if I had a man with me 🤦🏼♀️..apparently that actually happens to people. They tried to charge me $700 for a part that is $300 (I know labor can be expensive and that raises a price). I told them no thank you and I would pay for my consultation. Charged me 96 dollars, payment went through. He tried to charge me again saying it didn’t work. My bank receipt and the literal green checkmark on the machine said otherwise. I told him I would not be paying again and he gave me my receipt…funny how that works. When getting back in my car, my hood was left popped open for some reason. I understand people forget things but if I didnt see that it could have been dangerous for the driver. They were fast with a diagnosis and got me in quick, but the place was unhygienic and a little bit on the scammy side… I humble myself enough to know that I am no expert of cars nor their parts, but I feel like that shouldn’t be seen as an opportunity to be scammed rather then to be helped. I mean this commentary in a respectful manner as I know this shop is their way of living, but I also know no one can get better if the problems aren’t communicated. I wish them well.

My engine Blew in Abilene and this shop did a great job putting another one in. Gail knows her stuff as well as her husband Robert. The only reason it took a bit was due to a Holiday and engine having to be shipped. When I would call they always gave me an update. They gave me a ride and also delivered my vehichle when it was ready. A couple weeks later I was worried about water leaking which was just my AC. Again these folks gave me a ride to and from and checked it out without charging me to reassure me everything was ok. David was also a very nice man he drove me home. I had just forgotten about humidity after living in such a dry area previously. I feel like this shop is reasonable and fair. I will be using them again when I need a good mechanic.

Down to earth people and hard working. Took my GMC Sierra in for some noise when steering. They checked it out and it was just a fender. On top of that I asked if they could check my AC. Larry and the guys had it running cold within a day. Also they checked my Camry for an exhaust malfunction and one of the techs, had it fixed within 15 minutes. All I can say, Pittman’s has business as long as I’m in Abilene. Gale, Larry and all the mechanics are great!
