Always late. Lies and people don't care. I usually wait for 3 buses before I get home. I think Cal Poly should look for a better reliable transportation service.

Consider it a simple transit center. Definitely nothing fancy. Aside from its fair share of commuters, this place is often occupied by sketchy individuals. I would recommend avoiding them. Some of them get touchy if they get the impression you're staring at them. I usually make it a point to avoid this place after dark. Even during the day it's a seedy location. If anybody asks you for spare change, be polite when declining. I can't stress that enough.

Foothill has improved their service since my last review. The buses are still a little dirty and there are times when buses seem unnecessarily delayed, but overall I find them to be more reliable than they used to be. Dirty buses are usually the fault of passengers, not the company, but perhaps they need to refine their cleaning methods or schedules to be a little more thorough. Traffic explains a lot of small delays, but there are times when 3 of the same bus (which should be spaced out by 15-20 minutes) all show up within a few minute span. Traffic shouldn't cause that.
But I do think the drivers have on average been friendlier. Some are still very impatient (which I can sympathize with since I imagine it's a stressful job), but overall there have been less cases of me getting left behind despite being a few seconds from the door. I've also found the morning buses in particular to be much more consistent. No more of those days where I'm 30 minutes late to work because 2 buses never showed up.
They have a ways to go before I'd openly recommend taking a Foothill bus, but right now it's at least tolerable.

Definitely conveniently located. However, please be careful if you want to lock your bike nearby. My $500 bike secured with a shackle-type Kryptonite lock was stolen in the broad daylight. Some bad apples loitering this fine facility taint its image.

Sketchy area at night with sketchy people wondering about. Very creepy and do not reccommend at night. Lots of construction occurring, which creates confusion. Also the hus was 15 minutes late, which I guess isn't uncommon.

Incredibly clean bathroom and very nice and efficient staff at the Pomona Transit store. Yes, there is a 99% chance someone outside the terminal is using illegal drugs . You might see dirty needles, broken glass alcohol bottles. Avoid this place as much as you can . The terminal has been invaded by homeless and drug users . Most people are just waiting to transfer to another bus. K9 makes an ocasional appearance. Most Foothill bus drivers are very friendly and helpful but some bus drivers are rude and unfriendly . Some transit riders can be intimidating so keep your social distance . Tap cards can be purchased at the store inside the terminal.

These people are really uncoordinated. They told eto contact tap to get a replacement tap card. I did that and tap told me I needed to get the replacement from a Foothill transit. I went back to the store and the store told me to contact tap. There is only one lady that is very knowledgeable at the store. She replaced my card the last time that I lost it. I don't know her hours though. The store wouldn't even give me a temporary card so I could take the bus. Very unprofessional store.

Kind of a seedy area all day and all evening, if you’re looking to commute to Mt Sac in the mornings, I HIGHLY suggest using the Riverside line, it’s directly across the train tracks from the Amtrak/Bus platforms.
Covid kinda ruined the Riverside line schedule (westbound trains arrive between 4am and as late as 6:56am)
but it’s basically a faster substitute for using the 480 which runs through some of the worst areas of the city.
To commute to Mt Sac, ride the Riverside line from Pomona to Industry/Walnut station, and walk or ride north on Brea Canyon Rd. At the top of the street you will be able to catch the 194 route bus and take it directly to Mt Sac.
194 bus arrives every 15 minutes north towards Mt Sac
+15 minutes walking
+8 minutes skateboarding
+5 minutes biking
You can use your metrolink ticket as free bus fare for the day if you don’t have a student pass.
Commuting to Montclair:
Use routes 480 or 197, although the 480 runs through some particularly rough areas of Pomona
Commuting to Claremont:
Route 292 will take you to the Claremont metrolink station, 291 will take you to the north Pomona station, or even to the corner of Foothill Blvd and Towne on a twice daily bus that only runs in the evenings around 4:45pm or in the mornings around 7am
Commuting to Ontario:
Omni Route 61 is a long trip down Holt to Ontario Airport, use the Riverside line to the very next station (5pm-9pm est.) use Omni route 81 north to the terminal, or on extreme cases, you can buy an $8 Amtrak ticket through the mobile app on the sunset limited outbound to downtown Ontario (although it is at 10:20pm) takes about 10 minutes.

One of the worse run transit centers. They have restrooms that they never allow any one to use. Why have this as a transit center they should just turn it into a bus stop A waste of funding that could be used in better ways. What's worse is the restrooms work perfectly fine. But it's easier for the security to say no then to let you use them.
