Everyone I encountered at Pope-Davis Tire & Automotive was extremely helpful and pleasant. I would recommend them to others for tires. The young man laughed when I asked why their price was so low.

They were very nice and accommodating. Checked out the problem and got it resolved for the time being. They forgot to install a wiper blade as I had requested but they did not charge me for it either!!

I went to Pope Davis for an oil change. I only dealt with the front desk receptionist, he was very nice. In and out quicker than I expected, about 30 min. I will return again.

Found ourselves in a situation that no one wants to be in. We had a bad flat tire on our way home from vacation. Not familiar with the area we had to call around to find help. They had everything we needed, directed us to their location, and delivered on everything they promised on the phone. They got us taken care of right away and we were back on the road in no time. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! Highly recommend!

Second time visiting, first for an oil change, second for a pre-road trip inspection. Customer service and communication are excellent, and wait times and prices are fair.

I’ve been a customer now for nearly five years. They are my first choice every time. Their service is excellent and fairly priced. They contact you with updates and don’t install anything not previously mentioned without discussing it with you first. I’ve gone to them with both large and small jobs and in both cases, PD handled my requests efficiently.

Have been going to Pope Davis since 1996, they always diagnose the issue properly and take care of it. This time they were very professional, especially Thomas. They replaced several hoses, added coolant. The car, 16 years old, is running fine.

Very pleasant service members. Guided us through various options for our tire. Was up front with us about a delay in service due to a broken piece of equipment that they repaired and had us on our way.

J went to Pope Davis for a new battery. They put the new battery in for a very reasonable price. While I was there I noticed that there tire prices were affordable. The week before I had tires put on and I spent close to 900.00 dollars and if I knew about Pope Davis then, I could have saved money.

Staff was very helpful in offering tires at different price points and helping me decide on the best set for my needs. Installation happened the next day while I waited. Very happy with the purchase.

I was in town for a week and hadn't had a chance to schedule an oil change with my regular mechanic before leaving. I also didn't know how long it would take to get an appointment upon my return so I asked my brother if he thought his mechanic would be able to work me in during the week. He checked and they did. I dropped my car off on Monday night and it was ready about 10am on Tuesday. I don't usually have different folk work on my car but because family members had had repairs done here, I felt comfortable going there. I appreciate the prompt and courteous service provided.

Edit/Update: After leaving this review here and in several places, Pope Davis did in fact reach out and sent me a check to cover the full expenses at the dealership (the cost of the diagnostic fee and the repair itself). Their theory is that the sensor must have been replaced during a tire change in 2022 but was not registered in their computer. Honestly, I don't know or really care what happened. I appreciate that they took responsibility and covered the expenses in the end. My recent experience with Pope Davis was extremely frustrating, disappointing, and left me questioning the shop's integrity much less their quality or any desire to stand by that quality. I took my '22 Toyota Corolla after a tire developed a leak in early November 2025. Turns out tire couldn't be repaired, it wasn't gong to be long before we needed new tires, so went ahead and bought 4 new ones. That seemed to go well enough. However, 4 days later, a warning popped up on our car that the tire pressure monitoring system was malfunctioning. After checking the tires were correctly inflated and attempting to reset it, the warning continued. Unfortunately, I couldn't get back to Pope Davis until a couple weeks later. I was there for at least 3 hours, with them claiming all of their tools and scanners showed the tire pressure sensors were working correctly and that I would need to take it to the dealer. Dealer said they could not get a signal from one of the tire pressure sensors, and suggested I return to Pope Davis as the most likely explanation in their view was that it was damaged during the tire replacement. When I returned to Pope Davis, they refused to take any responsibility. They offered to charge me to replace the tire pressure sensor but also couldn't guarantee it would work because they do not have a Toyota computer to program them. Up until this point, I was frustrated but at least believed they were being honest with me, and I guess they could claim plausible deniability that this sensor that was working fine before taking it in there just coincidentally became defective 3 days after they worked on the car. To be clear, I asked them if there was any chance they could have changed one of the sensors, and they said no. I believed they should have assumed the cost of repair at the dealership at that point, but they refused. Their attitude was this isn't our problem because our computers say it's working, it's your car's problem for not detecting it. However, when I returned to the dealership to have the work done, lo and behold, they pulled out a cheaper, after market sensor that isn't compatible with the car. Hence why Pope Davis computers showed it was working but Toyota's and the car's computers couldn't detect it. Even after returning and showing them this sensor, Pope Davis continued to deny any knowledge of it and say they have no idea how it got there. Their explanation was because they didn't charge me for it, it couldn't have been installed by them. No one has done any work on this car besides the dealer and Pope Davis. We've done tire rotations and alignments at the dealer, but the only place that has taken tires off the wheel is Pope Davis, once on this recent change and once 3 years ago to replace one tire.

This place is the best! I got a nail in my tire the day before thanksgiving and called to see if they were open and thankfully they were. Thomas greeted me right away and immediately took my car to the back. He prepared me for the worst but thankfully all the tire needed was a patch. Thomas’s level of professionalism was top tier and he was so kind. Being a young girl, I get nervous going to auto body shops but Thomas and his team were incredibly respectful and did over charge me at all. Pope Davis is the only place I will go for future car issues. Highly recommend!

So the problem started at another shop that wrecked my brakes. I had to tow my truck to the shop. Eric at Pope-Davis had difficulty at first but stayed with the problem. He ultimately got to the bottom of it. He even rebuilt the brake booster and saved me $1000. Thomas kept me well informed the whole time. The availability of high quality caring personnel was impressive and comforting. Given I was passing through it was very important I get my truck up and running. Its now been 4 days and 1000 miles since I left the shop. The brakes are working perfectly. My only regret is I can't have Pope Davis do all my work. Thank you guys. You are the best!!! John
