It was my first experience at this place. I'm sure the workmanship is excellent but my first impression is that they don't charge any less but their public areas could use a once over. I saw mouse traps and the place was filthy. Maybe not much done to that area of the shop since it opened. The work was done by the owner while I waited and he was efficient and good and I was charged less than I expected to change the headlight bulb. When we went inside to pay I became both disturbed and hurt when he interrupted our transaction to help a white male customer who came in to drop off his vehicle. If it had been quick - just a passing off of the keys and I'll call you when we know... it would have been fine. But it was a longer exchange then warranted keeping me waiting. Something told me that this customer had priority over me - and I got the distinct sense it was because of the color of my skin and possibly my gender. Not a great way to start the day or a new relationship with an auto repair shop. Re-born and Expert Auto are great shops and I may just drive a little further to have a better experience. I was trying to continue to work with the shop that has serviced the car I bought for the past 5 years.

I recently was visiting my daughter in Portland and needed to have my Volkswagon fixed so I could make it back to CA. Darryl was so kind and so very helpful. He and his son Trevor gave me the best customer service experience!! They went above and beyond fixing my car and were very conscientious about not charging me for unnecessary work. They diagnosed and fixed my car promptly and skillfully. I cannot recommend their services enough!!

These guys are truly the best. I have had my 2011 Tiguan serviced at the shop since moving to Portland 5 years ago. They communicate proactive, make smart and honest service recommendations but most of all they have a way of making me feel like I am their only customer. This week my check engine light indicated a engine misfire. Although I didn’t have an appointment Trevor was able to get my car repaired the next day. Not only were they able to repair my car but they also improved a stressful situation by changing the oil while my car was in the shop, again all without an appointment. Skepticism when working with mechanics is natural, but with these guys leave it at the door. My experience is the longevity of your car and your best interest is always their first priority.

Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable from the very start. First the quote Precision Motor Car gave me was far less than a few other shops I contacted in the area. They were very transparent and communicated with every step of the repair. They did an amazing job on the car with a quick turn around. After all was done and keys were in my hand, I paid what they quoted me for when I brought the car in. No hidden surprises. I'm not taking my car anywhere else, definitely recommend this business.

Didn't take my car in for service, but reached out for a second opinion after getting an expensive estimate from a service dealer that didn't even address my problem. Darrell called me back the next morning and took a half-hour out of his busy day to address my concerns and break everything down for me. He gave me straight talk with no nonsense or sugar coating; he wasn't available to do the work, but he set me on track and recommended some great shops in town who could help me out. I just can't say enough good things about Darrell, Trevor and the rest of the team at Precision. I've been taking my 2003 Audi to them for 17 years and we've been taking our Subaru for several more. With a 21 year old car, I'm sure they've had plenty of chances to do work that wasn't really necessary. I have always found them, though, completely honest and straightforward. Work is done as discussed, in a timely manner, and they are more than happy to answer all of my questions. In addition, they're just nice guys! I will genuinely miss visiting them, as my new car isn't one of the brands they service. (I really considered sticking with one they did!) You can't go wrong here.

The father/son duo are the best kind of mechanics - informative, non-salesy and honest. I have an Audi Q3 and have been going to Precision Motor Car for a few years.
