For whatever reasons, the stereotype of auto repair shops holds true in South Florida. Dishonest, Rude, and Costly. HOWEVER, I am very excited to write a review about Prince Auto Repair. They have been nothing but HONEST, NICE, and FAIR with all the work they have done to my automobile. I knew going into this shop, that I needed major work down to my engine. John, both the head mechanic and owner, welcomed me into his shop. We went on a ride around the block, and he recognized the problems right away. I knew he was right, because, I had gotten many estimates before, but, never developed a relationship with any of those auto shops. John made me feel welcomed, and fully explained everything that needed to be done. The prices for his work and time were completely fair. I knew from our interactions, he was an honest guy. The shop would call me every couple of days when something major was about to be undertaken, just to show me the parts, and explain to me, what they needed to do. This step was certainly going above and beyond. Through the entire process, they kept me informed of the cost, and the status of the repairs. Great customer service. The true test came when I got my car back, and wow. I can’t remember the last time it sounded so good. They definitely know what they are doing, and don’t just put in parts, just to replace. I highly recommend them. Just walk in the shop and you will hear similar stories. I feel lucky that I finally found that needle in the haystack when it comes to a quality repair shop. Smiles here.

They are the most accurate and honest mechanical business that I have ever encountered. I trust them implicitly. John and Lucy work very hard, in giving superlative care to you and your vehicle. Cannot say enough good things about this business! They are genuinely nice people who want to help. I brought my car to get the headlight changed after several other places said they couldn’t do it or I would have to leave my car all day. They got me in quickly and were able to do the job in under an hour. The mechanic also answered other questions for me and was extremely knowledgeable! My only regret is I didn’t find them sooner!

I live in Century Village Deerfield Beach and my regular mechanic got very busy so I found that I needed better service and attention. Initially Google reviews brought me here but I am thrilled to say that John & Lucy really earned my trust and all my future business. John knows cars and his quick diagnosis was spot on. He ordered the parts, gave me a fair estimate and got the work done same day. Lucy kept me informed throughout the day about progress and I couldn't have been more pleased. A few weeks later I had an unrelated concern. I pulled in and John was under a car doing his work, when he came out, stopped what he was doing and ran some diagnostics right there and sent me on my way. Prince auto repair has my recomendation. Prince Automotive I am writing this review regarding the poor service, unprofessional conduct, and mistreatment I experienced at Prince Automotive during my first visit. I contacted the shop five days prior and was told by Lucy to bring my car in on Tuesday. I dropped my car off at 8:00 AM, and it remained there until 4:45 PM. At the end of the day, I paid Lucy $350 in cash for the repairs and requested a receipt. Instead of providing one, Lucy responded with an attitude and asked why I needed it. I explained that I had every right to know what I paid for. After sharing personal information, I finally received a receipt — but only after being made to feel uncomfortable. The next morning, less than 24 hours after the repairs, my car overheated again while I was driving 20 minutes away from my home. This was the exact issue I originally brought the car in for. I immediately returned to the shop, wasting another day trying to resolve the same problem. John, the mechanic, initially claimed the issue was the reservoir cap, but replacing it did not fix the problem. Then Lucy suggested it might be a blown head gasket — even though I had just paid them $350 to fix the overheating issue. John eventually gave me a car to borrow so I could pick up my five children and continue with my responsibilities. A couple of hours later, Lucy texted me saying they believed the issue was my reservoir and that I would need to pay an additional $150. I still have those text messages as evidence. When I returned to pick up my car, Lucy became defensive, cursed at me in front of my children, and walked away during our conversation. She later began yelling outside, causing a scene and embarrassing me in front of others. The receipt shows I was charged for: • Water outlet: $64.99 • Intake manifold gasket set: $14.41 • Two antifreeze coolant: $29.98 • R&R water outlet: $115 • Parts: $109 • Labor: $207 Total: $350 Despite this payment, my car was still overheating the very next day. Instead of taking responsibility for the misdiagnosis, Lucy acted as though she had done me a favor and grew hostile when I questioned the quality of service. Both Lucy and John made comments about my children, implying they were doing me charity work, which was insulting, irrelevant, and unprofessional. John later apologized, but his apology was undermined by his continued accusations that I was looking for free service. Meanwhile, I witnessed two white women receive far better treatment than I did. The way I was spoken to, disrespected, and misdiagnosed makes me believe I was discriminated against and taken advantage of. In conclusion, I was charged $350 for a problem that was never fixed, Tuesday subjected to verbal abuse, embarrassment, and extremely unprofessional behavior. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with an automotive shop, and I strongly recommend that others avoid Prince Automotive some of us work hard for the little we have I shouldn't have to explain why I have a 20yr old car when John only job was to find the problem to why my car was running hot really hurt my feelings mad me cry real tears cause God honest the truth I didn't do anything. People like John and Lucy makes it hard for honest people like me cause I don't play games Im already trying my best at this thing called life by myself with five kids.

Got in a car accident that smashed my grill of my 2018 Cadillac ATS. Also messed up an electrical wire sensor in the front causing my check engine light to be on. Cadillac dealership wanted to charge me an arm & a leg($1,999) to replace the ENTIRE wire which was unnecessary! Thanks to Auto Prince, only one piece was needed to be replaced which costed me less than $200!! They also did a repair & paint job on my hood which matched the factory paint for that car. It came out flawless. This shop knows what they are doing. They are reasonably price & give you a honest diagnosis. I’ve referred these guys to friends & family and no complaints.

it was the second time in the prince and a more serious repair!) for the first time I chose them according to the reviews "honest guys" and in the place - close to home and easy to return on foot. The mechanic was great and fixed in an hour - but took longer to diagnose.. actually, I paid for an hour of work. The second time I came to them as to the guys who know and are able to repair my car. But it was not an easy task!! I know that the mechanics consulted a lot and diagnosed and looked for a breakdown for a long time. in the end, I had to change some axis - I don’t really understand, but I trust them. When asked why I don’t go to Russian-speaking services, I answer that I know honest and professional mechanics and it doesn’t matter what language people who have iPhones speak)) Thank you again!

Update: They Moved, it is off SW 10th St Now. The new shop is amazing. Been going here for years for the family (20+ years). John is fantastic. He has the right prices and is a fantastic mechanic. Everyone there is lovely. Highly recommended. You are with a good mechanic that doesn't lie.

I brought my car here after a fender bender. I was delighted with the repair, more so because they helped me locate and repair a leak that was damaging the interior of my car. I had taken it to other shops, including Honda, but they were not able to find where the water intrusion was coming from, plus they charged me for a diagnostic. That was not the case at Prince Auto Repair, thus this is my go-to body shop from now on. I highly recommend this spouse-owned shop for all of your vehicle repairs.
