Be careful with this shop. They lure you in with what seems like a fair price, then double it. I was quoted $3,000 for repairs but ended up being billed $6,000 without my approval. Adding hidden charges is not honest business. Customers deserve transparency and respect

Worst shop I’ve ever brought my car too the owner is so disrespectful I recently had gotten my oil filter housing unit changed on my Hyundai and when I received my car they had very little to no oil in the car what so ever and I’ve only notice this because my check engine light came on after I received my car from them and prior to that my engine light never comes on because I take care of my vehicle so it caught me off guard but I thought to my self let me check the oil… I’ve done check the oil no oil was on the dip stick like very little close to none so I called pro engine the following Monday and they told me they did put oil in my car and told me maybe I had a problem before I brought my car in LOL I knew that was a lie because my car didn’t have this issue until I received it back from pro engine so when I was on the phone with owner and was explaining to him what the problem was he told me I don’t know what I’m talking about and also told me I don’t know who he is as in like he was trying to threatening me lol so with that being said I will never put money into this shop ever again and as long as they continue to disrespect customers that’s spending they hard earned money they will never prosper as a legit business good luck to you -Mid engine because nothing is pro about these guys not even the customer service TRASH

Changed a bunch of parts that were still in great condition, I kept the parts to reuse in the future, I just think they lead you in with a low price and gouge up the price after your car is there. But karma got them and the first engine was bad so they had to do the job twice!!!

I had brought my 2010 Cadillac to many places to try to get my Cadillac fixed. No one couldn’t figure it out. I stopped driving my truck because I was so embarrassed on how my front suspensions was thumping, squeaking, and rattling. . This was an ongoing issue for 3 years with my truck and I waisted so much of time and money to bring it to other shops. So one day I decided to bring it to Pro-Auto in Slidell and they got me RIGHT!!!! They had my truck for only 3 days and they fixed something that other shops couldn’t do in over a 3 year span! So I recommend this place highly! Nice customer service and very professional indeed!

I had a troubling experience here. I brought my F-150 in for a grinding noise on the front driver side. A few hours later, I was told I needed rotors, pads, and calipers on all four wheels for $2,000. When I declined, they offered to just do the front for around $500, which was still higher than another quote I’d already received. About 20 minutes later, they called again claiming my front caliper was seized, that the truck was “unsafe to drive,” and set the price to $1,000 just for the front axle. That didn’t seem right, so I called another shop and got a quote of $800 for the same work. When I told Pro Engine I was picking up my truck, they charged me a $150 diagnostic fee and repeated that it was unsafe for me to drive—yet they had no problem driving it around front to hand it back to me. I took it immediately to the other shop. They inspected it and confirmed the calipers were completely fine. They replaced the front pads and rotors for $375 plus tax, and told me the rear brakes could wait until after the holidays. Based on my experience, I believe I was being upsold unnecessary repairs and given misleading safety information. I recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work here.

I had the unfortunate circumstances of needing a new engine for my Lincoln MKT. Trying to find the right place to get an engine replaced is overwhelming. We called several places, all were really great; but when my husband spoke with Shawn at Pro Engine, it was a no brainer. Shawn knows his stuff! My husband was so impressed, he immediately agreed to let Shawn send a tow truck to pick up my SUV and put a down payment on repairs. Shawn makes this “devastating” experience much more calming and manageable. Replacing an engine and all the extras that may have been affected when your engine blew in the first place is EXPENSIVE. The expense hit us hard. I KNOW that we got the ABSOLUTE BEST for our money. I am super incredibly happy we found Shawn and Pro Engine.

I had my car towed to this place. I was told I needed a new engine and it woüld cost me around $5950. They didn't do a diagnostic test. Shawn said he didn't have the machine and this was their professional opinion. Shawn was very unprofessional and charge me $168.43 for his opinion. Well I drove my car to Kia and they said i didn't need a new engine. I just needed a sensor replaced that was faulty. Thanks to Kia I didn't have to pay $5950 for my engine that Shawn stated I needed. If you are woman be very careful because they will try to scam you like they did me.. Shawn I do have proof( I paid with card, my insurance company towed my car there and you told them the same thing. Calls are recorded and documented. Black and white don't lie, you did when you responded. Fyi I still have the paper you wrote on🫨🤥🫨🤥.

I recently had the engine replaced in my 2017 Chevy Silverado with a Jasper remanufactured engine, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. I went with Jasper specifically because their engine fixes the Active Fuel Management (AFM) issues that are notorious on these trucks—and so far, the difference is night and day. The truck runs smoother, quieter, and feels stronger than it has in a long time. Throttle response is better, and I have a lot more confidence driving it knowing the AFM problem has been properly addressed instead of just patched. The 3-year warranty was also a huge plus and gave me real peace of mind with such a big repair. Overall, this feels like I gave my Silverado a second life. If you’re dealing with AFM problems or engine issues on a Chevy truck, I’d absolutely recommend going the route.

The mechanics have done a fabulous job fixing everything in a timely manner. I am also always pleasantly surprised with the cost of repairs. They are more than reasonable.
