Really good experiences with Procter Automotive. What I really appreciated is they tell you, beforehand, if they're having staffing challenges and won't guarantee something will definitely be done in a certain time frame. My vehicle issues were handled in a timely manner and there were no followup issues. I have an older German made vehicle and have recommended Procter to a friend who also has a European sports car.

Had multiple issues with my work truck. They got me in and out when they said they would. Front office communicated throughout, and the mechanics did a great job. Always a good experience at Procter

I recently moved to the area and was searching for a true Porsche shop in the Abilene region and everyone pointed me to Procter. Sure enough I can see why, they were meticulous in a repair that required some work to remove the dash in my Porsche 944 and along with some regular maintenance. Jimmy and his team were great to work with and love that Billy is a Porsche fanatic like I am, he truly cares about all of the work performed. They are now my shop to go here. Thank you for getting me back on the road for my trip!

Scammed just to get the $70 diagnostic fee. I was referred to them by a friend who is friends with the owner/manager. My friend's truck (same make and model) was having the same issues as mine. I scheduled an appointment for a transmission flush on my only day off. When I dropped it off this morning at 730 am, I again told Joey (I believe was his name) I wanted a transmission flush. He said with an attitude "We will do what we can and we'll call you." I called later about 2 pm for an update because I didnt figure a transmission flush would take much longer because it is what i was scheduled for. Joey, again with disrespectful attitude, told me they ran diagnostics and there is nothing they can do so I have them take it to a transmission shop or I can pick it up. I elected it to pick it up they didn't do what i asked. When i got there i asked, who I thought was the manager, why wasn't i told earlier they couldnt do what i asked for them to do and i had to call to figure this out. Joey came around the corner, again with an attitude, saying they didn't do the diagnostic until right before lunch and then they had lunch and they had a lot of phone calls and I just happen to call before they were able to call me. I questioned about the diagnostic and I was told the only code that showed up was for the trailer plug, and there was slippage of the transmission why they drove it but could only diagnosis it as an internal problem and the next step would be to their transmission shop. So I was scammed a diagnostic fee, for them to tell me its a transmission problem for which I already knew which is why I specifically asked for a transmission flush twice. And then I was told they couldn't do anything and I'd have to take it to their transmission shop. No amendment was/has been offered to try to make it right on their end.

Very professional operation. Jay was our point man, he kept us up to speed as to where we were with things very good communication. We had an extensive amount of work done here, engine replacement, transmission service, radiator replacement, brake job, Starter replacement etc.. I am confident they did the work that was necessary and nothing more.

Procter Automotive was excellent! They are on top of communication and very proactive. I did not need to reach out at any point and ask for status or a follow up call. Customer service is top notch! I was given the all the details of what needed to be repaired and provided options on what was required and what I could wait on if I needed to. No high pressure to get it all fixed at once like I have experienced from others. It was all very transparent. My cat is up and running again at a fair price with an outstanding warranty. If I need any other repairs, I will go back to Procter.

I told him I had to wait for my car so they told me to be there at 7:30 AM. That way they can get my car out real fast. I end up having to go to my house for some roofers. They took over five hours to do my oil change I had to call them and tell them I needed my car back After five hours. I just went to their shop and I saw my car finished and in the parking lot, wasn’t sure why somebody didn’t call me when it was done. I also feel that $133 for an oil change is kinda high price.

Went in for a brake job. They had a full queue and were short staffed. Communication was great and they warned me it could take more than the day, and it was a Friday. With all this they still managed to do a great job and get the job done an hour before they closed! Highly recommended!!

Was having some issues with my Ford Expedition and I called on Friday, made an appointment for Monday morning, was given answers Monday afternoon, and my car was done on Tuesday even with them needing to order parts. The team at Procter answered all of my questions, communicated thoroughly, and then gave a full explanation of what was going on with my car afterwards. Highly recommend.

Absolute most outrageous price I've ever heard of for the job that they were going to do. There were twice the amount of the going rate. Go here if you want to get ripped off. They charge me $300 just to give me a $10,000 estimate for a at most anywhere else would only cost $4,000. Took it to the Ford dealership and they resealed it for $1,400. They lied about the leaks on the turbos.

The process of getting my 50 year old British sports car repaired at Proctor Automotive was smooth /complete. Finished product was excellent!! I am always cautious where I take this car for repair, especially until I’ve built confidence in the shop /personnel. Proctor did not disappoint!!

This is one of the worst experiences I have had with an automotive repair shop. I was charged almost $900 for them not to fix my car. I was charged $80 for a test to check the charging system, and $80 to check the cooling system, and $201 to remove the battery and replace it. They then charged $356.34 cents for a battery which I looked up and could have gotten it for $130,but they also charged $75 to program the battery. There was $66 dollars of other fees which were not explained plus tax to total the $893. I am so disappointed because the reviews talked about great service and reasonable prices. My car is 2017 BMW and they at first told me it would be $3800 to fix it, but called and said it would be a lot more than that. So we had to bring the car home. Maybe I am wrong, but this does not seem to be a reasonable amount. I was expecting to pay for the battery but I did not expect to pay that much.I will never go there again, and I will never recommend them to anyone.

We were quoted a 160 diagnostic fee to diagnose a passenger side window not rolling up. After a few hours they call to tell us they need an additional 200 dollars to scan the cars computers. When I asked if that was part of the diagnostic fee they said no, the 160 dollars was to take the door panel off. The receipt shows 160 to take off door panel to diagnose the issue problem. At that point I cut my losses and chose to pick up the car, paying the 160. I feel like 360 dollars on top of what it was going to cost to fix the problem was too high. I want to note my son is a college student and was the one who dropped off the car and initially dealt with them.
