Had taken my 1971 Volkswagen Beetle to get painted there. The only sanding and primering the vehicle had was by me as a temporary protection against rust. The car completely stripped down to a bare minimum making it easy to prep and paint. The ignition system wasn't working so the car couldn't be started but they said that was ok. Called several times to ask about the vehicles progress. One time they said the car had been primered but there was runs and would have to be redone (turns out those runs are still there and they are from the previous paint job a former owner of the car had! Another time was told at one point the car was ready only to find out later that day it hadn't even been painted yet. Another time the only painter there was in the hospital and couldn't get to it until he was out. When finally able to pick the car up there were minor problems I over looked (a mistake I regret to this day). A few months after the paint job, paint started easily pealing away in areas, some not so visible if you weren't looking. When using painters tape to tape off a fender to paint rubberized undercoating, pulling off the tape pealed a huge chunk off the car and exposed that there was no primer under the paint just the bluish grey color it was when I took it to them. The car was painted white and when the tape pealed off the paint, nothing gray was stuck to it. If it were primered by professionals this wouldn't of happened. This frustrated me and I called and never could get an answer. Finally I made a complaint with the BBB and the situation was not resolved. They claimed they never met me personally and that my Volkswagen didn't have an engine when I took it to them when everybody knows the engine is in the back of a classic Volkswagen. I stopped by there the day it was painted and took pictures that clearly show the tailpipes taped up. The only way tail pipes/muffler could be attached to the car is if the engine was inside it! Professional automotive company should know this about a 40+ year old vehicle well known to the whole world. I couldn't afford a lawyer so they win unfortunately. Finally less than a year later and paint is bubbling up on the driver-side side panel to the point it's as if the car has acne forming. Nothing but lies from this company. They didn't sand, didn't prime, barely painted and not sure if they even clear coated my car.

Terrible doesn’t even began to describe these crooks. Took a 65 Mustang to them and they didn’t even sand or bother to scuff. I’d love to post pictures of I could. Paint is falling off the doors, hood and trunk and you can see the old paint underneath perfectly untouched. They failed to seam seal anything as they layered and let the paint run down the jams. Took it back for them to fix and they wanted to charge me to fix their mistakes!

Missed tape. Too much texture due to not enough sanding. Left a ding to bare metal on top of quarter panel after full body paint. Not on time. Finally went to get it. No one acknowledged me. I took my keys off the wall and left. No one ever called about the truck missing.

My wife and I picked up her tahoe from Raney's automotive yesterday. They fixed a crease on the 5th door, repaired a dent on the right rear quarter panel and repainted the vehicle. Raney's also vacuumed the inside and wiped the dash and cluster gauges. We are very satisfied with their work.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service! They guaranteed us that our vehicle would be ready in a week and a half at the most. Today, it has been 1 month and 2 weeks. We were given the run around every time we came to check on our vehicle. Oh, come back Thursday, come back Tuesday, give us until the end of next week, etc. There was always a different excuse and the guy would never look us in the eye. I’m here the day before my wedding, sitting in my SUV that is below the “E” and has a dead battery. “It started fine this morning”, they said....”maybe it’s your starter”, or maybe it’s because we had to leave the doors open and it drained your battery”. They had no sympathy. They were just ready for the check. We will NEVER under any circumstance do business with Raney’s again!

Contract to paint car and trim, repair scratches and to replace headlights; body one color, trim black. Upon picking up the car, Car and trim was painted the same color, all of the scratches were still there. Headlights were covered with a plastic blue covering. It was an old car and I did not have the energy to take him to court. Beware, if you want a decent job done.

I tried it get my truck repainted , I took it to three body shops. First two said we only do insurance work. The shop third shop was nicer but said it will cost more than you want to spend . I went to my mechanic and he recommended Raney’s. I went by and got a great price. They did a tremendous outstanding fine job. I have been doing business with Raneys for a while as far as paint jobs so why not let them fix something else for me some simple some headlights ok cool I know if they mess sum up it wouldn't be a problem with them to fix it Was I Wrong!!!! dropped my truck off Tuesday had to call to see when it was ready as well Friday I get a call to come pick it up Boy when I tell u No Headlights and smudges on my truck !!!then 400 dollars then I have to take my truck to still get my headlights fixed then I was told nothing cud be done Raynes is not the same Raneys that it use to be because there no way in hell I would be treated in this way so when u go down Texas St BYPASS Raneys cuz the original owner WUD NEVER👊👊👊
