The boss is honest and reliable, He usually gets the job done pretty fast if he isn't talking to other customers. More importantly, He doesn't overcharge you and doesn't make up bs to get you waste money on things you do not need, Like those places run by thugs and high school dropouts (Jiffylube I am looking at you). The place is a little small though, And they don't change tires.

Before the man was a perfect honest mechanic, now there is a woman in charge and she lied to me and she is no honest because she told me a price and at the end she said no! I didn’t said that price . The man was very honest before just be careful now with the woman 😩😩😩😩

I got there and three other people were standing around waiting. No one came out to address us. As time went on more and more people joined the line. After waiting and being ignored for a while I just walked next door and was helped immediately. My smog check was completed and I was out of there in about 10 mins. I looked over and the same people were in line and hadn't been seen yet. I don't have time to jerk around and the situation could've been handled differently. If he's too busy to handle the load then say something, put out a sign - closed, appointment only, something. Don't just leave a bunch of people hanging out kicking rocks in your parking lot. There's other service shops that do provide service. Costed the same $30 too.

The owner showed up 9:30-ish for the few times I visited. He opens the shop. Backing out the driveway onto Mission when service completes always a challenge. Nothing special about this shop. Just SMOG check for me. Rock bottom price for that. Not sure about anything else. Mandrin speaking operator present. There is a room for folks to wait for service. But COVID time everyone stands on the driveway so go on cloudy days to avoid the heat. No cover from the sun.

I have known the owner for 20+ years. Always take my cars there even after I moved away from the area years ago. Honest and reliable. Charge very reasonable. Just wish they were closer to my home. They specialized in Japanese cars.

I love these guys! Danny and his staff are honest and do good work for a fair price. I've gone in and said "I think the brakes need replacing" and Danny has said, "No you've got 40% left. Come back in 3-4 months." Who does that? I am a customer for life.

I used to come here for all my smog checks as one of my relatives recommended me to them. However, my last experience here made me eventually switch to another place. Lets start with this experience. It was around that time where my 2001 Acura CL needed to get its smog check so i proceeded to go to the place I always went to for these. When I arrived here with my mom, we were greeted and seated to wait for service. However when it became time for us to receive service, the mechanic was saying that he couldn't open the hood. I tried to help him because obviously that isn't the hardest task to do and it is my car so I know where the latch to open my hood is, but by the time I tried to help, he told me he couldn't help me anymore. I was confused and asked why and he said he couldn't open my hood and thus could not service my car. When I offered to help, he still instructed me to leave. I know the owner of a business has the right to refuse service, but that altercation was extremely confusing and I was taken aback. I just did not want to deal with this anymore and just went to the next place I saw. They opened the hood no problem so I was just convinced he was having a bad day.

Extremely relieved and grateful that my car is repaired and passed the smog check. Made a $340 repair instead of a nasty dealer suggested $2300. This guy does honest work for a great price. Definitely worth the drive if you want to save an arm and leg.

Avoid this place. I had a bad experience here. The man was rude, short, and unprofessional. I came for a smog check and he told me to wait for 20 minutes. I asked him how much and he acted extremely bothered that I was even there. I used to come here all the time, but this place has gone way down hill. I ended up going next door for my smog check. They were nice, professional, and did the check immediately.

I’ve taken my car to red box twice now. For context. I own a Honda civic hybrid 2015. The engineering is complex and parts are scarce because it’s a hybrid. Both times I came Mandy and her team were thorough, patience, great at communicating every step of the way, clear pricing, clear about risks, and provided a number of options to get the best results. They fixed my IMA system, and diagnosed and repaired the cause of my AC failing. Additionally, the found the root cause of both issues faster than the Honda dealership, they provided better options, and were faster about executing the repairs than Honda ever has been. I am truly grateful I stumbled upon their shop. Highly recommended.
