After watching videos online about the brake job on my BMW, i thought i'd be able to tackle the job on my own, with my 1/2 assed minimalist set of tools. When I got to the part where the Rotors need to come off, I could tell that the screw was either going to break, or the bit I was using to remove it. I assumed I'd have to put it all back together, and go to the dealer. I sent Rich a text the next morning, right at 7:30. He responded very promptly and asked what was needed. I got the impression, even over text that he was willing to help, and understood the situation I was in. We discussed over text him just removing the rotor set screws, and the fee would be his typical onsite visit fee. I only had the expectation of him removing the rotor set screws. When he arrived, I wasn't done getting the car ready (the wheel was still on Driver's side). 1. He checked the Jack points, and made sure I had the car up safely, 2. He helped me remove the stuck wheel, showing he the heal kick technique. 3. He removed the all 4 set screws, and broke 2 of his bits in the process saying "its under warranty, so its fine" 4. Helped me get the piston carrier tray screws loose. 5. He pounded the rotors loose. 6. When excess Brake Fluid started leaking, he removed the excess, and explained how to clean it, so it wouldn't get on my paint. He essentially did the hardest part of any brake job, getting you to the rotors, and removing them. Then he stuck around for another 10 minutes incase I ran into any other issues. He explained where to clean and put Anti Seize grease in order to avoid these issues in the future. You're not only getting his Shop with all oh his tools, with the truck he arrives in, you're not just getting his knowledge and expertise, you're getting complete service. He'll make sure that you're well on your way when before he leaves. I was able to complete the brake job, and get to work at a decent hour. Thanks again Rich. I really appreciate all that you did.

Guy shows up half an hour EARLY (Awesome! like who does that anymore?) - Did what needed to be done, explained all the other potential issues (but didnt try to get more work out of it) and was fair pricing. Very nice guy - complete trust in his abilities and workmanship. Will use him again - without question. I mean how many times have I taken cars to my mechanic only to be told that he will get to it later......This was super convenient and was my first experience with a mobile mechanic - like very much. Do know that I had to get on his calendar which was booked out 6 days or so but my issue wasnt time critical...Thanks Rich.

I Was very skeptical going to a new mechanic, but I desperately wanted to get away from the dealership. Richie was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. Top quality service at very good rates. Punctual. Courteous. If he finds that an additional service is not necessary, he will not do it and will not charge you for it. DETAILS: I asked him to service my front brakes (due to some brake-related noise). He advised me to have new rotors ready just in case (in addition to the pads which had to be replaced). He called me after finishing and told me that the existing rotors were good and needed no replacement. This saved me the part and labor expenses needed for the replacement of rotors.

Excellent service, he was able to replace my brake pads with 20 minutes notice. He moved a vehicle to fit my truck. Looked out for my well being in suggesting the replacement of my rotors which was the right thing to do. Also, his price was extremely fair!!! Give him a try, you won't be disappointed!!!!

I've never written an online review before but when Rich left today it's the first thing I wanted to do. I'm a single mom and I've called on Rich a few times over the years we've lived in the South Bay. He's always made me feel completely comfortable while being a great help at a great price. Today he was a lifesaver. My alternator died and the shop that towed me gave me a $500+ estimate. That wasn't going to work for me. I called Rich on the spot, got a tow home and despite being booked up, he squeezed us in and replaced the alternator FAST early this morning. Rich also saved me hundreds of dollars off the shop's estimate. As he was leaving this morning, I asked him to look quickly at an issue I've been having with my windshield wipers thinking I'd make another appointment for that in the future but he fixed it right there on the spot free of charge. As a single mom, having reliable, trustworthy resources for things I can't control or fix is invaluable. I couldn't give a higher recommendation.

We called Thursday night and had a return call from Rich at 7am the next morning. He was able to schedule us for first thing Saturday morning. Rich called when another appointment canceled and was able to come out even earlier than planned, which was great. Rich and John were able to get our car fixed in under 2 hours for a very fair and reasonable price. When we found out that our local auto parts store sold us a bad part, Rich drove my husband up to the store, in his car, and negotiated a full return on our behalf. We will being using Rich again in the future. Great mechanic who charges fair prices. You really can't ask for more! Thank you, Rich!

Fantastic service! This mechanic is the most reliable, fastest, honest and friendliest mechanics I've had the pleasure of coming across. My car was making all kinds of noises and shaky going down the road so I needed some suspension work done. Not only did he give me an honest estimate but did the work faster than expected. I can't not say enough fantastic things about Rich and his prompt and professional work! Rich has been with me through multiple cars over many years and done everything from replacing spark plugs to brake pads to the catalytic converter. I do not trust anyone else with my car and have recommended him to all my family and friends. You will not find a mechanic with more integrity or a stronger work ethic. Always as accommodating as possible, even when prospective clients have ridiculous demands, he is straightforward about the necessary repairs and does high quality work. Richie truly comes as a rescue to us. We are so grateful that we find him. My husband almost ran into a car accident due to a bad alternator. He changed the battery twice but the car kept going down. Richie came Tuesday morning (2nd day after I found him from google review), ahead of our appointment, and looked at our Odyssey van, and quick identified the alternator was THE ISSUE. He even went online to find a good deal of alternator for us, and came to replace the alternator shortly, with a very reasonable price. He was terrific and extremely helpful. My son has some issues with his bicycle on the day Richie came to replace the alternator, he KINDLY fix my son's bicycle on the same day!!!! I highly recommend to Richie to anyone!!!

Fantastic experience with a great mechanic! My Subaru had a bent tie rod, Richie showed up promptly as scheduled, he diagnosed the problem quickly and went the extra mile literally because the parts needed were not available near by , he drove a little bit out of his way and got everything done that same morning, I stood by and he explained everything he did and was very transparent. Richie is the best auto mechanic one can ever dream of. He works on all type of cars, really knowledgeable, skillful, pay attention to details. I have two Land Rovers, and Richie has been my designated mechanic for the past two years. We replaced CV joints, brake rotors and pads, control arms’ bushing, etc. Besides wonderful service, his price is extreme reasonable. Moreover, He is always on time. The only concern is that he is almost always fully booked. You need to make an appointment at least 4-5 days ahead. I am not surprised. Everyone wants a good mechanics.

I'm going through my mid life crisis. I had sold my 1965 GT Fastback that I had owned for my whole life when my kids were about four years old. They are now 24 and 22 years old and my wife agreed to let me buy another one. Not only did I buy a 65 GT FB, but I also bought a 1970 Boss 302 because like I said, I'm going through a mid life crisis and always wanted one. My Boss 302 clutch went out on the way home from the East Coast where I bought it. My regular mechanic was busy and normally only works on BMW's and my red GT had been sitting for a few months at his shop so I needed to find a new mechanic to help out. I went online and searched and luckily found Richie Rich after reading all the reviews (yes even the one negative). I wasn't going to marry the guy I just needed to know if he could fix my car. He showed up on time and was very responsive. He got to work right away and pulled the clutch assembly apart. He had to remanufacture the replacement clutch assembly to do the job correctly because the previous mechanic rigged it to "just make it work". I want things done correctly. He then gave me the name of his muffler/exhaust guy and had any future problems solved. He showed up there to make sure it was done properly and further adjust the clutch since it was on a lift. Since fixing the clutch issue I'm having him replace the power steering hoses which are leaking because it was clamped when it need to be screwed in. He is also taking care of some window trim that will make the car basically in fully mint condition. I am going to include a picture of my mint 1965 GT Fastback which Richie will take care of next week because it just needs a distributor and some wires. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my classics because he is hard working, honest and has a very fair price. I even refered Richie to my neighbor who has a 1990 Corvette (paper weight) sitting in his garage for ten years not running. I would not hesitate to call Richie Rich. I'm actually worried that my review will keep him too busy to help me in the future.
