5 stars!! Rare find of honesty and integrity!! I live in Illinois, my son is staying in the Tampa area. His car popped a brake line (rusted thru) Illinois car. I'm an ASE master certified tech, Been a mechanic for 32 yrs. When he called me to ask what he should do, I was at a loss.Normally this repair I could handle, but I'm in Illinois he''s in Tampa. I did a Google search for repair shops near him (car needed to be towed) . I came across Richie''s and was impressed by all the great reviews. My experience with Richie and his staff was second to none. He was professional, honest and beyond reasonable with cost of the repairs. Richie stayed in communication with me, sent pictures of what needed to be replaced, used factory parts , and treated my son and the repairs on his car like he / it was one of his own. I absolutely agree with Richie " Karma is real" This man completely understands GOOD KARMA!! Thanks Richie

Ritchie has been our mechanic since we arrived in Florida a year ago. He has done numerous repairs on our two vehicles and always made sure our vehicles were safe for the road. The quality of the professionalism is excellent. I had an issue with how one of the employees put on a tire of mine, however when I called them up, Richie swiftly took care of the situation, and is going to refund me in full. I have been very pleased with their professionalism and his willingness to take responsibility. They have been in business with close friends of my wife and I’s for many many years and I had only heard good things about them, which is why I was so shocked when I had that experience with the employee. I am super pleased with how it was completely taken care of.

I can’t say enough good things about Richie’s! The staff is very kind and extremely professional. I had to wait a wile but the we’re always checking to see if they could get me something. Very good folks! The motor mounts in my car needed to be replaced and although they were filled with appointments they fit me in in between jobs. It was the holidays and no one would help me; but Richie did! I will always recommend them since the price was absolutely acceptable and the quality of work was top notch!

I brought my vehicle up to Richie's after having some electrical issues I couldn't fix on my own. Called them an hour before closing on a Wednesday and they told me I could drop it off so they could get to it the next day. On arrival Richard came out himself and talked to me about the issues I was having. We even had a friendly conversation for 45 minutes after. The next day he called and told me what he found and what they were doing to fix it. He told me he would do his best to get it done before closing. 30 minutes later his secretary called and told me I could pick it up 30 minutes after they close as they would get it finished so I could get my vehicle back. When I arrived they were just finishing up even after they had closed 30 minutes prior. I can honestly say with all the repair shops I've used and dealers I've been to that I've never met someone so genuine and beyond fair. Reasonable pricing isn't even a fair remark for what they charged me. When I thanked Richard before I left and told him the pricing was great his own words were "I like to treat everyone who walks through that door like family". I can honestly say that statement is true. I will continue to use Richie's from this point forward for any auto issues I have and refer them to family and friends as well. If you have any issues take your vehicle here. You will not be disappointed.

Ritchie is a great guy. He has worked very hard to figure out what is wrong with my car. It wasn't a cut and dry problem. In fact I took it to other places and they told me they couldn't fix it. So I kinda knew what was wrong with it. But Richie listened to what I said but still did his due diligence and checked everything. Not only was what I said was wrong with it but there was a couple other things too. He not only fixed what other people couldn't or wouldn't but he made sure everything was right. Very knowledgeable mechanic. I lived with this car going into limp mode and not being able to use the air or it would go in limp mode. For so long. To finally have it fixed is unbelievable! He is a very honest and price conscious guy. Very friendly. You may have to go to his shop to talk with him. As they are very busy and don't answer the phone always. But Richie is the nicest friendliest guy and genuinely likes people. But hey it's hard to find a qualified honest and friendly mechanic no matter where you live. This is the guy. Thanks, Richie! I'll be back. But hopefully not too soon! Lol!!

I am the happy owner of a 2014 Nissan Leaf. Unfortunately, it has had a persistent but slow leak that multiple trips to the original Nissan dealer has never resolved. Most recently, the dealer said it was the evaporator and that 1. The repair would be astronomical amount of $$$ and 2. They would have to send to Japan for part. Non in USA. Both were BS IMHO. So I did some online research on local repair shops and found Richie's. They are a real automotive repair shop, with great reviews, and I felt like it was worth a shot to see what they could find and do. They fixed it! I have had the car back for several days and it is cold inside, which is good news since it is already in the 90's here in mid April. Richie told me they confirmed it was a leaking evaporator, they found a new replacement, and it was a big job to pull the dashboard out to get to it, etc. It took a couple of days to get the part in and a few more to o the job. They did it for a reasonable and fair price, and you could not tell that the dash had been removed 😄. Everything works and I am very happy. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Richie's Auto Repair to anyone. The Leaf is an EV, and as such most car repair places are just now dealing with the changes. But we EV owners need places other than the ripoff dealers to get things fixed. Systems like the AC are going to have issues on any vehicle. Richie will do a good business with EV owners because he is straightforward and honest to deal with. Thanks Richie!

I could talk about the repair itself, but there's not much to say when it's done exactly the way you want it to be. Richie was awesome! I Couldn't have asked for a better human being to work on my truck. I was in quite a pinch and he was the first place I pulled up on my phone. I had to have a wrecker pick me up due to my brakes going out and I had him drop me off at Richie's. He and his family/staff were phenomenal. Very down to earth and caring folks. Richie's Auto Repair has been a hidden gem for us. He first helped me with my brakes. My Infiniti brakes started going out and my wife almost crashed. We are traveling from Texas and had no one to turn to. Richie did his best to not leave me without a car. He understood it was an emergency. He worked on the weekend even on a Sunday to help my family. Richie is a stand up guy. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

BEWARE!!! Do not trust him!!!! Richie took full advantage of my trust. He approached me in a parking lot, promised a great repair and told me to trust the process when it wasn't perfect. He told me to wait a week and then wash it and it would be perfect. I was stupid and paid him $1000. It was worse than before he started it with fingerprints and paint on areas that were not affected. I had to pay someone else to resolve it. They only charged $400. I've asked for a refund but he has only promised $150 refund that never came.

My car had a very specific electrical problem. He scheduled my appointment and I dropped off the vehicle and it was diagnosed and fixed within a few days. He called to notify me of another issue and resolved it too! He’s very personal and took the time to get to know me and what my needs were regarding my car. The pricing was more than fair! Great service! Great pricing! Overall, he just a great guy. I will definitely take my car back to him if other problems develop.

Paid 3k to get my rx8 road ready.was running when it went into the shop. did the easy stuff but didnt diagnose the actual problem. drove it less than 50 miles and broke down. do not go here. They will give you a lower price than a daler but not actually fix the problem. Stay away from this business.

Ritchie and his wife run this business with a few employees and they are absolute gems of people. I was very hesitant to trust anybody to do a full engine swap on my 2013 dodge dart (head gasket was blown), but Ritchie was very upfront and transparent with pricing, the process, and everything in between. They found an engine with 67,000 miles on it that was in great shape, swapped it, made sure all engine codes were clear, and even continued maintenance on it for the smaller things until no more codes came up and the car was running like an absolute dream. At no point in the process did he try to upsell me, and there was one issue he saw with my motor mounts, but he showed me what they looked like, what they’re supposed to look like, and recommended me to replace those as well while the engine was out which was definitely a good call. Ritchie’s wife (so sorry I forgot her name) also gave me rides back to my house to help with transportation while my car was in the shop! Overall this experience was amazing and I will definitely be back! Ritchie’s auto repair is the best!

Excellent service. I my 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo in for repairs and upgrades. They worked with me to install the parts I provided for a reasonable price and did it in a satisfactory time. The installation and setup quality were superb. I was thrilled with how my car looked and drove after they worked on it.
