Bad experience. I scheduled ahead and let them know of the work to be done. When I dropped off the vehicle I was told probably couldn’t be done that day as their “person who does that work” was backed up. Second big issue I needed a new battery and was charged over $500 for a car battery. Other issues were minor but their charges were way out of line. The extra day without my car was an issue, but the cost was the big concern.

Would give zero stars if possible.Cliff Milne has no idea what he is doing. Took gladiator in for check engine light and he told me the differential needed to be replaced due to the noise. I explained again why my vehicle was there and he said he got me confused with someone else. He then told me my spark plugs needed to be changed. At 38k miles there is no reason for that. He then proceeded to tell me if it didnt fix the problem I could bring it back and there wouldnt be a diagnostic charge but no refund on spark plug replacement. So they just wanted me to pay them to guess at what would fix the check engine light which was a miss fire code. Needless to say they didnt do anything to my vehicle and I picked it up and got it repaired at a reputable auto shop. I will not take my vehicle back to a hendrick dealership if they are going to continue to employ dishonest people. Beware of total scam at hendrick.

Worst car buying experience of my life. With the exception of Daniel Cadden who was a gentleman I was treated like garbage the entire time all because some sales manager, who happened to not be there, gave me too much on my trade in. So, after driving 2 hrs in the opposite direction from home to buy a certified pre-owned 2021 Ram 2500 Limited Cummins turbo diesel on October 18, 2025 I find out they can't do anything I'd been asking for on 2 weeks of conversations over the phone. Told them multiple times I would absolutely need seat covers and a bed cover before I drove it off the lot because I have a dog and a bed full of power tools I had to haul back to Michigan. They don't have either and are not interested in keeping their word or even giving an apology. Next, I was told the vehicle was leveled by 2 different sales managers, it wasn't. Then, it has all terrain tires on it, which it should, but they have 1/8 of an inch of tread on them, which it shouldn't be even placed on the lot in that condition. Ask them to replace, that's a no. Ask them to get them for me at cost, they quote me at $500 higher than Lafontaine in Fenton, Michigan's full price. Next, they finally locate a bed cover, folded up, covered in water in the bed of a different trade in. The exact same one on the truck I'm trading in only 6" longer. It's a $196 item brand new. They charge me $500 for it and I had to install it myself. Showed the GM Rudy the price on Amazon and he couldn't have cared less. Finally, after all that I get the vehicle home, take it to Lafontaine in Fenton by my home in Michigan at 930am October 20, 2025 (drove the truck off the Rick Hendrick lot Savannah Hwy Chareston, SC at 630pm October 18, 2025) and in turns out that it needs $4800 worth of steering/suspension work which they also seem unwilling to pay for. Places like this are how car salesman got their reputation. If anyone decides to come to their senses and do the right thing contact the service department at Lafontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Fenton, MI. Thank you. -J.Cook

My wife and I had a great buying experience of our new Chrysler Pacifica minivan. Our Salesperson Michael, was wonderful to talk with, knowledgeable about the vehicle and an overall excellent salesperson. Cedric the sales manager found us the perfect vehicle, out there in the ether space of Chrysler vehicles, and worked with us to find a price agreeable to all of us. When I initially called the lady told me the system was down so I asked her if she could take my number down and call me back. And she seemed like she didn’t want to help. She tell me no her manager said she couldn’t do it. Then when I got there to get my oil changed. It took them almost 2 hours ans there was nobody there. I did not have a good experience.

Worst customer service experience we have ever experienced through a car dealership... ever. Austin, your service manager had no interest in a resolution to our concerns. Final statement, "Rick Hendrick didn't make the vehicle, the dealership didn't make the Jeep" never grasping that that the dealership sells the product, but has no backbone to stand behind it. Pathetic. Right behind him, a poster stating to some effect that Hendrick's is not happy, if the customer isn't happy. So disappointed. The whole weeks long dialog with Jeep (corporate) and the dealership should be in the file. I love this Jeep, the non mechanical workman ship is questionable. Compounded by your service departments dismissiveness.

They bought to my attention support with the locking lugs on my tires and my cabin air filter as well as rotating my tires and changing my oil in my diesel truck which is more costly and more difficult than a normal car. My experience at this location on Savannah Highway was way better than North Charleston and I will never go back to North Charleston. The Service Agents were very approachable and pleasant. Even the Service Manager came out to assist me when I was there because they got a little busy. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it the same time and didn't try to diagnose different issues that dont exist just yo scam me out of money like the North Charleston location. We had a great experience working with our salesman, Ayden. Although he’s still early in his career and occasionally needed oversight, he is very knowledgeable about vehicles and clearly eager to do things the right way. There were some delays in parts for a few added features for our new vehicle, but he went above and beyond to make it right—personally driving to our home on two separate occasions, even though we live almost an hour away. That level of effort did not go unnoticed and really showed his commitment to customer service. I will start by saying that due to my job I have been purchasing a new vehicle every 2-3 years for the last 27 years. Needless to say I have spent my fair share of time in the dealerships. Like most I would imagine it was always a stressful situation that I truly never looked forward too. The games that are played. The take your keys and run game. Give you bottom dollar on your trade while asking top dollar on your purchase. It just wasn’t a very pleasurable experience at all. That was until I did business Rick Hendricks Dodge Chrysler & Jeep on Savannah Hwy in Charleston, SC. It was the most hassle free car buying experience we have ever had. Kyle was our sales representative. He was professional, kind, courteous & understanding. Most of our initial communication was over the phone as we live in Beaufort. We told him what vehicle we wanted and ask him to give us his best price upfront no back and forth and to please use every rebate that we qualified for. He did exactly what we asked and presented us with a great price for the vehicle. I did throw in a little wrinkle at the end by adding a trade. Again no haggling, they did not play the typical numbers game “rob Peter & pay Paul” between the new car and the trade. They gave us fair market value for our trade no questions asked. We explained the importance of having everything ready when we arrived at the dealership because of our travel time round trip back to Beaufort. Again he did exactly what we asked. When we arrived everything was ready to roll. We were in and out of the dealership in under an hour. Kyle and the Rick Hendricks Team were on point and never missed a beat. They respected our time molded the deal to us as the customer and not mold us to the deal. That said they have earned all of our new car buying business moving forward. My only regret is not having given them this opportunity to earn our business years ago. I highly recommend to anyone that is in the market for a new or used car to do yourself a favor and allow the team at Rick Hendricks Dodge Chrysler & Jeep on Savannah Hwy in Charleston SC to go to work for you and find you your next new or used vehicle. You won’t regret it.

I do not recommend the service department at this location. Appointment times were two weeks out, and when I dropped my car off on a Friday, I was not acknowledged by any of the three service advisors on duty. After requesting assistance, I was told to wait by an empty desk. Ten minutes later, I had to ask if anyone knew where I can get help. The following Tuesday, I finally received diagnostic results and approved over $5,000 worth of work. Unfortunately, I then had to call multiple times during the week just to get status updates. I picked up my car the next Saturday—eight days later—only to discover when I got home that the technician had failed to resecure any of the four caliper bolts to my wheel. This mistake caused damage to my wheel, brake pads, and rotors, leaving them in worse condition than when I brought the car in. The only remedy I was offered was an Uber ride and apology. The lack of communication, accountability, and quality control is extremely concerning, especially considering the cost of service. I will note that a new service manager was recently hired, and I hope he can turn this department around. But based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location at this time

Sophia checked us in and we had the best experience ever getting our oil changed. She was so helpful and we got done in a reasonable amount of time and all the paperwork was good and they accepted a coupon that I’ve got on the Internet from the dealership site. Sophia went above and beyond to make sure we had a sticker in our window showing when we need our next oil change and getting us all the paperwork that we requested showing that we had a very good check up on the Van. I give Sophia 10 stars because she was so good.
