I had the same repair done twice by Rio Grande Automotive. I paid almost $700 for the first repair in January and it had to be redone in May. It was under warranty, so it didn't cost me anything the second time around. In July, I took my car to the dealership for a recall, which had nothing to do with the repairs done at Rio Grande Automotive. The dealership video records their work and when they opened the hood on my car, the repair done by Rio Grande was tied up with zip ties and in summary was not done correctly and had to be done yet again. I contacted Rio Grande, sent them the video and requested that they make good on this repair by refunding all or at least a portion of the $700 I had paid them. I was told that since the work was still under warranty, they could not refund any of my money, but they would do the work again. Why would I trust them to do the work again? They didn't get it right the first two times. I've done business with Rio Grande for a few years and have recommended them to other people as well. I don't think they're bad guys, I just expect them to make right on this situation and I don't think doing the work again is the answer. I emailed the owner twice to discuss the situation and he has never replied. In my email I stated that I'm not the type to give bad reviews so I won't. I'm giving them 3 stars because not all the work they did on my car was bad. The only reason I won't go back is simply because the owner has refused to acknowledge my concerns. BTW, Andrew gets 5 stars simply because he's always been cordial and easy to work with.

Called Rio Grande about a quote to see how much it would cost to repair an issue on our truck. I was referred to them. The gentleman who answered was very helpful and kind. He let me know that they were busy with other repairs in their garage. I believe it was Andrew who told me he would find out if they could add my truck to the list. He put me on hold and came back and asked if I was willing to leave the truck Wednesday and it would be ready by Friday. Well, I dropped the truck off Wednesday, and by Thursday around noon, it was ready!! I was surprised and happy. I let Andrew know I'm a AAA customer as well. He added that to my bill, and it helped me alot. No one likes having their automobile breaking down because you have to pay so much to get it repaired. But if an auto shop is willing to give a discount such as a AAA discount, it certainly helps. Thank you to Rio Grande Automotive for repairs on my Chevrolet Colorado. The thermostat is working great, and the truck is running excellent now. I know where to go for my repair down the road later on. Thank you to all the skilled mechanics there. Keep up the great job and excellent customer service. 5 plus stars. I highly recommend you stop by their shop for your next auto repair. They don't give you the run around. Up front and honest. 👍🏼💯🙂🚙

Disappointed with this shops work. 1.5 years ago they replaced my gauge cluster. Now I can’t pass emissions because there is no engine light in the cluster. The cluster was also broken and super glued.

My car broke down while moving from AZ to WY on the freeway. The alternator was bad and I needed a fix ASAP while traveling with all my animals in the heat. The guys at Rio Grande made my family a priority and had the vehicle ready to roll by 11 the following day (they even stayed an hour after closing to take my vehicle in from the tow driver!!) amazing service and even better people.

This shop is great. I drive a 45 year old car that I plan to keep on the road for many more years to come, and so many mechanics in this city refused to quote me, or even talk to me about it once I mentioned the age. I really needed a mechanic, not tech support, and these guys fit the bill. They gave me a good quote, scheduled me an appointment, and got everything squared away the same day I dropped it off. They even called to let me know that what I was replacing did not need to be replaced, and that really impressed me. We got the quote a bit mixed up due to parts changing prices in the couple of weeks of me scheduling the appointment & bringing the car in (I don't blame them at all, the world is crazy right now), but they honored their original price which I really appreciated. Chris and Andrew are good guys, and they do good work. I'll be bringing my daily driver back to them for things I can't do myself, and I will most certainly be recommending them to my car buddies.

I went to these people like twice to take carw of some issues with my car. They told me to leave my car over the weekend as they're closed and to put my key in the lockbox. Over the weekend my car was broken into and my sound system and radio stolen. They misdiagnosed my car as a blown head gasket when it was a sensor. Then when i got my car back, my amp and other items were missing. The walgreens in front said people go in all the time looking for footage of their car being broken into. This company is a front. Go here if you truly have no options otherwise stay away. I drive by all the time and see broken windows on cars, I believe they claim its random break ins but its really shady. Theyll screw you over. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

Place is ok but the mechanic need to try inspect the car more careful.. my in law took there car in for broken timing belt. Month pass the belt broke again and they took in again and was told they need new engine which was 2 to 3g. So I took the car from my in law , took it out without repair ,haul the car. I fully inspection the car the timing tension was backwards the cause the belt to break. This was a Mitsubishi eclipse 2006.

My husband and I were headed to Indiana early December in our RV when we needed immediate assistance with a repair. We talked with Chris on the phone, arranged to do repairs the next day and even let us stay in the parking lot overnight. The repairs were swift, affordable and they did all in the parking lot as we had an 18’ car hauler we were towing as well. Appreciated the over and above great service we received from Chris and his team. Would recommend them to anyone in need of quality service from genuine people.
