I don't think they are honest! I took my 2001 F-150 there on 6-12-18 to have them fix my "service engine soon" light that had came on. I called them about 6 hours after I dropped it off, a lady said that my transmission was slipping so bad and that I needed to replace it, she also said that my gas cap was bad, I told her just to replace the gas cap. They kept it for 2 days and I paid for the repair. I drove it to and from work and at 349 miles after the repair the "service engine soon" light came back on. I took it to Auto Zone to read the engine codes. They came up with a PO442 code and said that it was most likely a bad gas cap. I was wondering why would it be bad since Robertson's just replaced it last week? Anyway, I took it back to Robertson's, they said that they would try to fix it, but at 1:45 PM Friday afternoon, it would probably not happen since they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. I asked the guy behind the counter about the Auto Zone code and he said that their "$10,000.00 machine" was a lot better than Auto Zones cheap machine I took it to Firestone, the mechanic came to me after 45 minutes and said the gas cap was the issue. He said to go to Ford and buy a factory gas cap. I asked about the cost, he said there was no cost. I asked about the code he got, he got the same code as Auto Zones cheap machine "PO442". I guess Firestone uses a cheap machine also? I am real curious how "Robertson's" came up with the transmission issue? Did they drive it and feel it slipping, did they actually get a error code for the transmission or were they just trying to rip me off. I feel it was the latter. Folks, stay away from this place!!!

7/8/22 UPDATE Took the truck back to Robinson's for work on the AC, a check engine light, and exhaust leak. They quickly found, repaired, and recharged the ac system and cleared the engine light. Unfortunately the exhaust leak was were some fine upstanding citizen tried to relieve me of my catalytic converter and got half through before high tailing. The told me they didn't do that level of precision welding for that repair and got me back on my way. You're not going to find a more honest shop, seriously. I know they are going to fix everything the right way and the first time, every time. 6/21/21 UPDATE Silverado had to hit the shop again so if course I took it to Robinson's. ABS and Stabilitrack were disabled so after some quick online searching I found out was most likely a wheel speed sensor. Talked with Joe, explained what was going on and what I thought it might be. He started there and, lo and behold, that was it! Fixed same day. No one else will ever touch my truck other than Robinson's. 2/11/20 UPDATE Just took my Silverado into the shop again. This time for high oil pressure. Robinson's once again proved themselves to be honest, hardworking people. I was warned my repair could be as low as $215 or as high as $375 depending on intake manifold removal. They could have just charged me the higher amount and I would have never known, but they were able to make the repair without removing the intake. The part arrived late in the day and I was told they could probably get it done, but it would be late so I told them not to worry about it. They called me at 0830 the next morning to tell me the repair was complete. Great service as always. No one else touches my truck besides Robinson's. Every once in a while you meet truly, TRULY good and honest people. Those are the people who run Robinson's Auto Repair. This is the one and only shop that I will allow to touch my truck involving anything besides an oil change. I've been here probably 4 or 5 times now with various issues on my 12 year old Chevy and every time they have been wonderful. Once, Joe Robinson put my truck on the lift, and, knowing that I was handy with wrenches, showed me the problem and what to do and how to do it. No charge. He literally GAVE money away because he's that honest. I can't say enough good things about Robinson's. Customer for life.

Super honest mechanic shop saved me 100's maybe 1000's on my seized up engine.Found out that my 2011 Hyundai Sonata's engine had been recalled due to metal shavings left in the engine during the manufacturing process and that Hyundai would replace my motor free of charge. They even called the Hyundai Service dept for me to have everything set up so all I had to do was bring the car in. An didn't charge me for checking my car out.Saved me so much money. My family has been going here for years and they are always really nice. We've never had a problem with any of the work. Whenever we are looking at a used car they always check it out for us. Joe kept me from buying a complete lemon! He found all the problems and gave me an estimate to repair BEFORE I bought it, thank goodness! It was clean & pretty on the outside, but underneath was a MESS!

I was in Dickinson for work when my car needed to be taken in. My engine had developed a 'knock' sound and some of my sensors were lit up. I appreciated the service I received. The lady tending the desk and phone was very courteous, very professional. Not only was she solid on her service to me, but I heard other calls she took that indicated the same to others. My car needed repair in a VERY time-sensitive moment. They got me on my way by the time I needed to be. The charges are fair and I know they took effort to keep my costs down. I won't return there most likely just because I live an hour-plus North of the area. If I did live in the region, I'd trust them for future work.

Came here for a second opinion since I have had good experiences there before. My car had some work done elsewhere on the drivetrain to address grinding and rough power transfer. The other mechanic replaced the transfer case and then when that didn't work, they said I needed a new differential. The mechanics a Robinson correctly diagnosed the issue and fixed the actual problem for a few hundred dollars. I came in for a new differential quote and they steered me in the right direction. All I can say, is that honesty speaks volumes about the Robinsons team's integrity. Never taking my car elsewhere. Genuine thanks to Ronny and the team there.

Most recommended business! I took my Tacoma in for alignment and transmission fluid flush/change. Judy Robinson informed me upfront about the different scenarios that the techs will work through to get the tasks done, and estimated the cost cap. The tech team finished the work in less than the estimated time. The cost is very pleasantly reasonable. I am a very happy customer. (P.S: The way my truck handled on 15-mile drive home did confirm that Robinson team did very good on the alignment task)

Very rude they replaced my battery without me authorizing going over prices and said my battery that was only 5 months old needed to be replaced do not recommend this place for any work. Very dishonest i rarely give a one star if I could give lower I would very over priced and horrible customer service

Patient and reasonable. Ive brought my honda here 3x. First time my heat shield was dragging the ground he took it off for me no problem and offered alternative solutions as it was my 3rd heat shield (lol). I then picked up debris and rocks that caused a noise apparently only i could hear- he was patient and helpful and ended up figuring out the culprit for the noise i was hearing. Would definitely recommend! Ill be back for any maintenance i may need on my honda. Thank ya’ll!
