Bee warned people this place is terrible dishonest cheatin mechanic in Palmdale big mistake going thear rip me off 127$ brought car in for a oil pan leak and the same day the leak was still thear came back for my 6 months warranty and was told now its something else what a waste of time and money you've been warnd dont do it .

Stick to simply jobs like brakes and don't let them touch anything else. 3 times parts were changed out 1k+ later and they did not fix the acceleration issue. The tall guy talks to you like your a Child and left his greasy hand prints all over my roof and seats!

Gerald has been my mom's mechanic for many years. When I moved out here and was driving her car the break light went on. I took the car to Gerald and all it needed was a bit of break fluid. No charge because my mom is loyal to him. So now he's my mechanic too. I wouldn't trust anyone else in the AV with my car.

If you need simple maintanance I'm sure this place will do fine. I brought my audi a4 here for a loss of power. After bringing it in I was told it was the fuel pump so it was replaced. that did not fix the problem at all so then they said it was the diverter valve. On my drive home I realized the problem was exactly the same nothing was fixed and now all lights on the dash are lit up but when I brought the car in only the low tire pressure light was on. When I called the mechanic he sounded extremely annoyed and said that had nothing to do with the work that he had done. Any time we would talk he would be playing poker on his phone or texting people and had absolutely no care in the world about the issue. I returned the car regardless of his excuses and demanded he fix the lights. We had about an hour long discussion about how he felt no responsibility for the problem that occured under his care and he would charge me to fix it. Turns out it was a fuse that he had blown. The car was finally returned to me and the mechanic gave me his word it was fixed this time. I brought the car home and the power loss was still not fixed. All of a sudden my entire car begins to have an overwhelming smell of fumes and gasoline and fumes were visibly spewing out of the engine bay. I had to have the car towed back to this shop. Turns out that he left gas lines loose and they simple fell off the connection. After a day he finally fixed the new issue he caused and returned the car. I complained the original problem of power lost still fully existed with no improvement from the replacement parts he assured me were the problem. Our last visit he is now advising it is the car computer that is the issue. $1000, 5 visits, and 3 weeks later my car is in worse shape then it was when I brought it to him. I took my car to a European auto specialist. Turns out the problem was a valve cover, $55 dollar part. This mechanic wasted almost a month of my time and $1000 of my money becuase he had no idea what he was doing. I urge you to think twice about coming here, I'm sure they can perform simple maintanance tasks, but dont let this man ruin your car and steal your money because he doesnt know what he is doing. These are not auto specialists, they blindly change parts at random hoping for a fix, cause further issues and take no responsibility, and after you hand them a $1000 they tell you it Is a different problem and want to charge u more when in reality the fix was a $55 part. I'm currently processing paperwork to take this man to small claims court to retrieve my wasted money.

Jerrold alway's takes his time and does quality work . My favorite place to take my car. I know it's been handled with care and when i leave i won't be coming back for the same problem. Jerrold is a very honest stand up type of guy, he won't cheat you if he gives you a price and finds the parts cheaper. He will lower it to save you money because he cares about his customers.

I have been taking my cars here for years for oil changes. They have very reasonable prices and the owner is always the one who helps me. He is so nice! They never will try to take advantage of you here. I am in and out within 30 minutes. I think this may be one of the last honest places around! I tried Jiffy lube a while ago and went running the opposite way because their prices were outrageous and the service was sub par. I will drive across Palmdale and continue to come here just for the service, and also the prices. These guys are great!

Very few people do I trust with my vehicles, Especially my old schools and classics. I’ve dealt with Mr. Robinson for well close to two decades now, Have never had an issue, and any concerns were immediately addressed in a reasonable and professional fashion. Are these days to find good mechanics who are able to still work on pre-2000 model vehicles. Glad that Mr. Robinson is still around! If you have any doubt just go in and talk with the guy, I’m sure you won’t have any doubts afterwards.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came for brakes and left with trust restored in humanity. Here is the short version: Gerald at Robinson’s Brakes and Auto Repair is the real deal. The long version: I got my oil changed at Jiffy Lube in Palmdale and asked them to check my brakes. They told me I was living my best life and my brakes had plenty of miles left. Cool. Love that for me. Fast forward to driving to LA, running errands, and heading back home… and suddenly my front brakes start sounding like two metal raccoons fighting inside a trash can. Confused, stressed, and knowing absolutely nothing about cars except where the steering wheel is, I stopped at another shop near me. They charged me $89 just to look at my car, then handed me a repair estimate close to $1,500. New brakes, new calipers, new rotors, new everything except a new personality. Something felt off, so I decided to get a second opinion and went to Robinson’s. Enter Gerald. Within minutes he told me straight up: “You do NOT need new calipers.” He even said he could sell me a bunch of extra stuff if he wanted to… but he would rather be honest. That alone deserves a standing ovation. He inspected my car for free, explained everything clearly, and gave me a fair price around $525 to replace what actually needed replacing. Brakes, rotors, service, even swapped out my back windshield wiper while he was at it. No pressure. No scare tactics. No nonsense. Three hours later my car was ready, my brakes were silent, and my blood pressure was back to normal. I have been to a lot of shops that treat customers like walking wallets. This place does the opposite. Honest. Transparent. Fast. Fair pricing. Solid work. If you want your car fixed without feeling like you need to take out a second mortgage, go to Robinson’s and ask for Gerald. I know I’ll be back.
