Went here for car inspection. The service was quick but they charged $40 when it should have been $35 like every where else.

A great repair garage with great people, who deliver quality professional service. I don't trust just anyone to service my baby but I trust them. Highly recommend them.

If I could give Rogers Street Auto more than 5 stars I would. My family has been getting our repairs done here for years. I cannot say enough great things about John, Mike and crew. They're very honest, and helped my mom's former Odyssey reach +260k miles. My Avalon is around 180k miles, and I couldn't be more grateful. I moved out of town, and still bring my car here to get serviced. Great team!

This Is The Perfect Old School Auto Shop! I will not be bringing my cars to anyone else! I will start with the 1 negative- Since there is only 1 negative. The building is deceptive. It looks small and unassuming. Since the business sits on a busy main road, you might just drive by this place. I almost did. NOW, ALL OF THE POSITIVES ABOUT THIS PLACE! 1. This shop and the owners, John Latta ( Junior & Senior, son and father) just saved me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS on made up " needed" repairs quoted to me by 2 different mechanic shops - Prior to my stumbling upon Rogers Street Auto! 2. This Auto Shop was started 94 years ago. And it has been a consistently thriving Auto Repair shop since it started in 1929. It has been run successfully by John Latta Senior and Junior for the last 30 years. 3. They Are Honest Mechanics & Businessmen. This Is Surprising Right? But they are! 4. The size of the place is deceptive. They have 4 large bays and a large parking lot. There is a lot of space for them and their employees to work on multiple car on the same day. 5. The do not " Age Discriminate" against older cars/trucks. 5a) ex- I brought in my 20 year old truck, that I needed to keep mechanically sound and to get a State Inspection Sticker. 5b) I needed to know what mechanical issues I might have to deal with in the future, so that I could prioritize the issues and budget for those repairs. 5c) I need some peace of mind, to be able to feel safe in my truck, given that I had been hyped up to either spend thousand of dollars for unneeded repair or to buy a new car from the places that had given me estimates. Aarrgghh ; ( What the John's Latta's and Rogers Automotives Did for me. #1. THEY SAVED ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON MADE UP ESTIMATES BY 2 OTHER SHOPS, THAT HAD GIVEN ME ESTIMATES FOR REPAIR WORK, JUST DAYS BEFORE STUMBLING UPON THEIR SHOP. #2. I needed an " Passed" inspection Sticker. I had1 issue. A loose passenger side tire. The 2 written estimates from 2 other Mechanic Shops, each siting a different " causes " for the loose tire. Were all B/S! This is what Rogers Auto & The John's did for me. A 1st time walk in, potential customer.... #1. ) They read the inspection report. #2. ) They listened to my experience with the truck and the Inspection location. #3. ) They put my truck up on the lift. #4. ) They Inspected the underside of the front end of the truck. #5. ) They replaced 2 Lug Nuts that were showing some wear and were loose. #6. ) They correctly tightened all of the Lug Nuts. ( This is more important that you would think.) #7. Then - John Jr. called up John Senior, who was off site, for a 2nd consult to confirm his diagnosis. ( And to confirm what I suspected ( that the other estimate were B/S!.) #8. ) John Sr. then does another re-inspection, just like his son has just done. And confirms the diagnosis. #9. John Sr. then offers to drive my car back to the inspection location. ( I could have driven it, yet I wanted him to get a feel for the vehicle) #10. ) My truck passes the State Inspection!!!! #11. ) John Sr, drives my truck back to Rogers Auto AND offers me advice on what my next step could be in keeping my truck running safe for many years to come!!! What You All Want To Know- What did they charge me for all of this attention. expertise and their time? I am embarrassed to say that they charged me very little. Not even the equivalent of their hourly, diagnostic fee!!! I was so relieved that I was finally being assured that my car was safe to drive, that I was willing to give them more money. Which they would not accept. hahahaha ; ) They could have asked me for my 1st born or a kidney, and I would have given those to them!! They Went Above and Beyond! This is the type of experience and workmanship that you will find at Rogers Automotive from John Jr, John Sr, Mike and the rest of the staff. I will not be taking my cars to anyplace else!

Very honest and hard working mechanic who doesn’t try to upsell you on anything. Cheap, genuine, and efficient. This man deserves 11 stars. I will continue to come back here until my car eventually dies (and then come back with my new car).

I've been going there for over 15 years and I've referred family and friends. We all have been taken care of. They offer sound advice. They tell you what you need to hear, not what they think you want to hear. They give you options and considerations for your budget and your unique situation. Highly recommend!

Brought my car here for the first time. Awesome experience. The guys at the shop were really friendly and reasonable. They did a great job explaining everything they had done and gave a heads up of what might need to be done in the future without overselling. Will definitely be back for any future car repairs

Always fantastic. One of the last shops around that still have that down to earth mom and pop shop feel. Staff is exceptional in knowledge and in transparency. And prices are more than fair. The only garage I trust to get the job done right the first time and not bust my wallet.

Recently I had an issue with my 2019 Ford Edge. It only has 24k miles on it so it wa kind if a shock.to hear it was a blown head gasket. I had it towed to Rogers St Automotive snd let me tell you the owners if this business could not have been more professional and courteous. They tested and diagnosed the issue and advised me to call the dealer. I did and with some coaxing it's covered under warranty. Highly highly recommend this family owned business. Will definitely be seeing you again.

This place is a rare gem among the auto mechanic industry. The owner is always so kind and honest. This is the only place I’ve been able to trust when needing something for my car. They don’t try to upsell a bunch of things you don’t need.

Treated very helpfully and honestly, John gave me lots of information to keep my 09 car running safely on the road. Provided practical advice for what was worth doing or not, saved me hundreds over the advice of a different mechanic.

I just used John for the first time. I was in a panic because I had to have my car towed to his shop. John was amazing and super helpful throughout the process. His prices were fair and his work was amazing. My car was running great after he gave it back to me. I would highly recommend his services.

John helped me with my 2013 Honda Civic when I started having battery issues. I had purchased a battery from Advance Auto Parts, but within a year it began failing. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t honor the warranty because I no longer had the receipt. John truly went above and beyond. He took the time to gather every possible detail from the battery to help Advance Auto Parts locate the purchase in their system. Despite his efforts, they ultimately refused to budge, but I was incredibly grateful for how hard he tried on my behalf. John is a great mechanic not just because he does quality work, but because he genuinely cares about his customers. He’s also very communicative, which I really appreciate. He doesn’t just say, “You need a new battery.” He explains why. As a woman, that makes me feel confident and respected, especially compared to other places where you’re given a repair bill with little explanation and left wondering if everything was truly necessary. One last thing I want to mention: this is a family-owned business, and his father still works there. That’s something you don’t see much anymore, and it really shows in the quality of care and knowledge. Supporting small businesses is important but supporting family-owned businesses is even better. That kind of generational experience is priceless, like grandma’s recipes that always stand the test of time. Highly recommend. If you’re looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who actually takes the time to explain things, John is your guy.
