Ron’s automotive has provided consistently excellent diagnoses and care of my various vehicles throughout the years. Honest and reliable. While waiting for my car to be repaired, I have heard staff tell people repair cost, and be told by the person “ but the car only cost me” a fraction of that price. It means the customer bought a car in bad shape, not that Ron’s is out to rip them off.

Listen to the one star reviews. They offered a no cost diagnosis for an axle grinding and revving problem with $100 for transmission fluid replacement. They quoted many issues other than the problem I came in for and increased to $140 for the fluid change. A couple days later they asked for $160. They agreed on $140 and said the installed axle and shifting problem was fixed. It was worse. I asked to schedule a test drive but they refused saying “We aren’t going to work for free” and “I don’t even need to look at it” which was ironic since they had given it back in worse condition. The man scheduling became extremely rude and childishly spoke over me every time I spoke. Hopefully they can learn to communicate with more class when owning up to a mistake, integrity is important in business. It’s really a shame. I really liked these guys. When I first walked in I thought they were kind and had a cool shop, old school Oklahoma good people. I’m really disappointed how it turned out.

These guys did not get a chance to repair my family ice cream truck due to their busy schedule. However one of them was kind enough to lift our vehicle and inform us of our ball joints needing replacement. Just from that kind gesture we were able to know that our vehicle needed maintenance and was unsafe to drive. Anyhow great atmosphere with kind and honest folk. I highly recommend.

A good mechanic can be hard to find, but Ron's has definitely earned my customer loyalty. I've had many cars serviced here over the past 20 years and haven't had a single issue or disagreement. I keep coming back despite moving to OKC because I appreciate the way these guys actually listen, care, and communicate. They do excellent work at affordable prices as well.

Overpriced and didn’t give accurate advice. After changing a wheel bearing they told us our timing belt was going to go out any day and had to have it replaced ASAP, not to even drive the car until we can get it done. Quoted $1300. Took it to another mechanic (Lloyd’s automotive on E Lindsey) who only charged $750 and showed us the belt they took off - still had around 30,000 miles of use left on it which would’ve lasted us another 1-1.5 years. Pretty disappointed so won’t be back. Definitely could’ve spent that money better right now

Ron’s Automotive wow what can I say…. Outstanding AMAZING customer service and outstanding service on my car. I have had a car that hasn’t had a heater for years and I have taken it to different mechanics in Norman and they have charged me to fix the heater but never fixed it. I took it to the dealership Friday and they wanted two arms and two legs to fix the heater. I took it to Ron’s yesterday and they actually fixed it and at such a reasonable price. I cried because I am so thankful that they took the time to actually fixe the problem and they were so patient with me. My daughter picked the car up today and came home and the first thing she said is mom those people were so nice. Please give them a shout if you need your car worked on.
