I’ve “tried my luck” on Thu, Jun 29th 2023 on fixing an electric fault on my 2019 Mercedes Benz Sprinter at Royal Auto Mechanic and, first of all, I was amazed by the quickness of the receiving the vehicle, inspection and diagnostic results. My vehicle was ready in less than 2(two) hours and the price of the repair is very competitive! Did I mention that all the personal are courteous and really efficient? This place is second to none if you have a car, SUV, limo, van or bus to be fixed! Thank you: Williams, David AND Mustafa Junior! Thank you R.A.M.?

May 2024 review: I came here for an oil change - the service was quick however I explicitly asked them to fill one of my tires and they did not. It makes me wonder if they actually check tire pressures and fluid levels as part of the service and whether they cut corners elsewhere. I would not recommend this place.

I went to this shop for about 3 years. At first they gave me reasonable prices. Then the prices increased tremendously. Replacing windshield wipers should not cost $50 for labor. They don't even post their hourly rate. I will NEVER go back!!

When I needed repairs done, these guys were the best place I called. They were quick, well priced, great communication and even found that some parts that a different place had installed were installed incorrectly and fixed it for me. Honest and friendly throughout the entire experience and I am so grateful. My truck has never driven so nicely since I bought it. Thank you guys, you're the best in the bay area for sure!

I live in Tahoe and the compressor on my 2016 Jaguar F-Type S blew and I couldn't find a shop that could fix it in Reno. About 5 places suggested that I take it to the dealer, which I was really trying to avoid because Jaguar can get very expensive. I'm so glad I found Royal Auto Mechanic! This place was amazing, not only did they respond right away, they took my car in and had it done basically in a day. They are super responsive, very efficient, and so nice. I was in the lobby for almost 2 hours waiting for my husband to come get me, so I heard all of the conversations with other customers. They are incredible. Super straight forward about the repairs and the potential cost. Super fast with things like oil changes, tire repair, regular maintenance. They don't waste anyone's time and they seem to try really hard to accommodate small, quick work. One woman apparently had 30% left on her brakes and she came in because they were making some noise. They never pressured her to do anything, they just gave her the facts and she decided to change them out as she would only have to wait an hour and half. Saw several limo/executive car drivers come in. Clearly, this is a very trusted and efficient shop. It was glorious to drive home with A/C in August, I will DEFINITELY be bringing my car here from now on!!!

Worst ever service I had and Dan denied what was discussed over the phone. Time wasted and didn’t even apologize. I was a customer for over a year and travelled all the way from San Jose to do the repair. I will never ever use the service and demotivate people using their services. I have spent my half day doing nothing and no good outcome ever happened.

⚠️ BEWARE – A Costly and Dishonest Experience ⚠️ I strongly warn everyone against taking their car to this shop. What started as a small repair ended up being a complete disaster. The parts cost around $90, yet I was charged a ridiculous $1,725 for labor. Just a month later, the car broke down again. When I brought it back, the technician pressured me into paying another $970, insisting that the original issue wasn’t the cause and that it was something new. That turned out to be false. The real problem? Their own negligent work—they failed to properly tighten the bolts, which led to a serious breakdown. One of the camshafts came loose, causing major internal engine damage. This wasn’t just a mistake. It felt like intentional neglect or outright fraud. Most of the staff were dishonest, especially the owner, who clearly runs the shop with no integrity. I don’t know if it was incompetence or a scam, but either way, I paid the price—literally and mechanically. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. They ruined my car when I trusted them to fix it. This was not a repair—it was sabotage.

I would not recommend this place at all. The service was extremely disappointing, marked by a lack of professionalism and transparency. It feels like there is no real commitment to the customer. A horrible experience overall.

Yes , the thing is I came here a lot of times to change my cars oil , the third time I told them I want it to be 45$ the 3000 miles one , and then they came and said u need to pay 75$ or 80$ for the 5000$ one and I said no I told you guys to do the 45$ , ended up by paying 45$ after negotiating with them . The last time I went there to see If the horn can be fixed or not ( I told the guy if it needs a fuse or not just lmk and then they checked the car and said you need to pay 265$ for the labor and the horn ) I told him sorry I can’t afford that and maybe next week I will show up , in the paper it says 150 Labor , after 5 min he came to me and said if u wanna leave it up can pay 95$ for the check, and then you can leave the garage. I told him it’s not logic at all if the check is for 95$ and the labour is only for 55$ ( btw if u will fix the horn u need to remove the airbag and it takes time ) i found that very capitalist. They just wanted to take my money 95$ for nothing , ) if u tell me a check can cost you 50$ or 60$ before checking the car i will see if iw be down or not !!! But not after the check you come and try to oblige me to pay the 95$ ! I will never ever in my life be in that place, i told my friends about this experience and they will not be ! …. After giving him the proof that this is a scam and not logic at all , he ended up be saying yeah u good to go ! Come on that’s not enough at all !

This is a hard to find honest mechanic shop . When I say this is the shop I will say I been coming here ever since I worked in limousine. The guys William , David , Elias will take care of you as if you were friends from a long time. This shop is located in south san Francisco to some it may be a long drive to get here but it is worth your time. When coming here they will inspect your car free of charge to make sure you know if anything is wrong or needs attention and they will show you while it is on a lift. Ladies bring your car here it will be service correctly they will treat you as VIP.

Golly, real mechanics. When someone answers the phone you won't get offered auto detailing or even a hot cocoa. Major repairs including everything from electrical wiring harnesses, transmissions, emissions. Suspension, steering, frame alignment and it's done right the first time or they fix it immediately. One of the few places in San Francisco where they install engines, like entire engines. I've got just over 6000 miles on my new 4.7. After the rebuild it's running real strong. I'm so happy with my jeep I could shout.

I'm not a high savvy tech,computer guy In fact I'm just discovering this yelp process What's so humorous about this My dear lady friend of 17 years who I actually recommend her to get her vehicle service at Royal and has been for 10 years now or more and consistently expresses gratitude to me still to this day......They have actually rebuild my 2011 Lincoln Town new motor ,belts water pump alternator,gas tank,wire shortage,window motor ,smog,interior defect ,rear collision, bumper tires.....and never kept my car hostage for a lengthy time In fact all service was completed and ready to go same day beside the install of the motor Im address first name basic (Bobby) upon my arrival Yuself, William, Elise, Danny I go back as far as when Mario ,Dave and others Just a warm crew of mechanics who know their craft I just can't believe other reviews I been servicing my Town cars with Yuself since 2011 introduced by a Good friend Mike who help me find my first town from a resident in his bldg However trust my "word" "You won't go wrong"!!!!I If so see me My only fear is Being I'm from Ohio @ my family and daughters @ Grand kids are in need of me relocating back Midwest Where on earth will I be acommodated with quality service and regards as Royal Auto Body serve ThankYou Yuself @ crew.........
