So I went here yesterday because pep boys on E Tremont wanted to charge me $1,500 because my van wouldn't come on. They wanted to rip my engine apart. I went to R&P and all it was, was a blown fuse. THANK YOU R&P AUTO REPAIR!

If you want your vehicle inspected, DO NOT go there! In all of my years driving, I've never had a mechanic remove all of my tires to complete an inspection. NYS only requires them to remove one and even still no one has done that until I went to R&P! These mechanics are dishonest and will look for anything they can to find fault with your inspection so that they can make extra money. The man told me that my tires were in such poor condition and they were not! And he said "I dont know what your pockets are looking like but you need to change all three tires". I had to pay the entire inspection fee for them to fail it. My emission passed of course. I paid the full price for them to fail my car over something they were looking for manually. Of course that always works when you want more $$$$ from customers.

I needed to have a tire checked for possible slow leak. "DuctTape" did a thorough check of the tire, spraying both sides and had me drive slowly to completely check. Added air and said it was probably low from being parked for awhile due to being under Covid shutdown. No charge! As I don't live in the Bronx and was dealing with a family emergency, I did a Google search and these guys came up with a positive rating. So glad I went to R&P.

Brought my car in and was told I needed a new starter. Paid $550 and when I picked it up not even 24hrs later the car wouldn’t start. So then he told me to bring it in again and pay another $450 to get a brand new starter. I pick it up, and not even an hour later the car wouldn’t start again and I was stuck on the side of the road with 2 small kids. Has to get my car pushed out the street! clearly he didn't buy a new starter.. even my 11 year old figured that out. When I spoke to him about it he said he’s sorry, he’s not sure what’s going on but he’ll fix it and make it right. So I brought my car in for THIRD for same issue and when it was time to pick it up he said now I needed to pay another $327. I asked why and he lied and said it needed another part but couldn’t provide receipts and dates and times parts ordered. This Scam artist cheated me bc he never got the part in first place and his work told on him twice!!! So he finally decided to get it (maybe ) but charged me more bc he complained about the towing fees he had to pay like it was my fault the car didn’t start after he so called “fixed” it the first TWO times! So he charged me the extra money to offset the towing fees. Terrible service, unprofessional and a certified liar!

Was driving down from Albany and my car started overheating. I happened to pass by Rudy's shop and it was the best decision I could have made! He and his staff were very professional, friendly, and knowledgable. He was able to detect the problem and fixed it in a very short amount of time. I'm confident in the work that was done & will definitely be coming back for anything else my car needs!

Behaviour not nice! I went there few days back to get my car have the new exhaust system which i took with me. Also changed the tail lights and front grille. Everything they wanted total $400. I said okay and lets do it! They took 4 hrs to finish the job which i was ok with though. When i went there after 4 hrs to get my car they said they are gonna charge me more which is $525! I asked why and they said "it took more effort for us to get everything done! it seems easy but its not easy"! Well i don't know if that could be enough to ask for more price but i said i can give you $100 more since you said $400 first. But then they said "no i said $450 first" and i was like what!!? You are lying man you said $400 i still remember it was only 4 hrs before. They didn’t say anything and again telling it took them more effort and it was complex for them. So i ended up giving $520 coz i didn’t want to bargain with them coz really didn’t like the way they behave. When i wanted my old exhaust (stock one) to take with me you know what they said? They said "you are wasting time, its a garbage"! I didn’t say anything coz i know the value of a stock exhaust but its surprising that they don't! and they own a auto repair shop wow. One more thing, i'm still in doubt if they did the job well with my new exhaust system coz they didn’t weld it anywhere. Just used the clamps which came with the exhaust but i think its fine. But i will have my exhaust rechecked again to see if there is any leaks they left and will update the review accordingly. But overall will not recommend this shop to anybody. Absolutely angels!! My boyfriend and I got a flat on our way upstate, a nearby gas station recommended these guys and we were sooooo happy. They were about to close but the gentleman helped us out, fixed the flat in what seemed like seconds. He invited us to wait inside as it was freezing cold out, we met their adorable (very friendly but daunting dog Sally). Anyway: polite, professional, awesome service. Rudy and his Team is awesome , very polite , honest and prompt . I had several issues with my recently bought used vehicle and I decided to try R&P auto out to see if they can help my situation. I was extremely impressed that just by looking and listening to my car they knew exactly what i needed to get it back running. It's like i have a brand new car its driving so smooth . I had some unexpected car issues where my care overheated and I called them and even though they were closing they agreed to take a look at it. Turns out my radiator burst. They agreed to fix it first thing in the morning and sure enough by the end of the day I was driving away in a fixed car. He was super helpful and really knew what he was doing 10 out of 10 would recommend. They really were interested in giving me the best service possible.

I had an EXCELLENT experience and will continue to go here for my future services whenever possible. I had my stolen side mirrors replaced, the steering column, 2 new tires with rotation, and my A/C checked and recharged. The service was fast and reasonably priced. The technician Rudy even sent me video of the work while it was being done, which really reassured me. Another auto repair franchise located on Boston Rd. had charged me hundreds for the A/C services that WERE NOT rendered, so it was nice to have confidence I wasn't being ripped off again. It's been almost a month since taking my vehicle here and I have had NO issues. Everything is working as it should, FINALLY, thanks to R&P Auto Repair. I couldn't be happier.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They made us wait all day after giving us a time to come into the shop to get our car repaired. Horrible customer service. The guy doesn’t know what he’s doing, he ordered the wrong car parts then made us wait an hour just to tell us that the car part he ordered was the wrong one.

I got my car inspected there and I had to get 2 new front tires. I paid $260 and waited 2 hours for them to balance it only for the next day I was stranded at the mall because I had a complete flat. Then had to pay $140 for a tow to change it... I'm so pissed. Never will I ever come to this lazy business.

COMPLETE SCAM!!!…stay away from this place. Had an issue with coolant leaking and I took my car there for them to fix. They charged me around $1200 for labor and to switch out the water pump just to come back a week later with the same issue. They then told me that they need to change out a hose and charged me another $600 for parts and labor. Guess what?!? It still didn’t work. I had someone else take a look just to find out that there was an issue with a small rubber component which they never fixed. So basically I had to go there twice and they charged me around $2k and they never fixed the issue. They changed out all the components except the component that had the issues. STAY AWAY!

They have rude attitudes and terrible customer service .. we had a blown out tire and we pulled in they refused to even look at it one of the workers first response was “go across the street” and was very rude when I spoke to the boss who’s name is Rudy instead of him being a professional business owner he refused to help or work with the tire because his lazy worker who was bruised because I said that it was lazy and unprofessional to send a customer away because you did not feel like working. I don’t recommend but from the looks of it they business is failing due to their attitude and lack of ambition. It’s bada business who’s run by men with female tendencies.
