I took my vehicle in for service for a coolant leak, after a diagnostic, they had to replace the water pump and a lower line, they explained that the issue caused was from regular wear and tear on the vehicle overtime. Which I understood that do happens after a while. Excellent job in repairing my vehicle and I would highly recommend them. Thanks again guys.

My brother recommended John and the crew At S&S auto repair. They are located in Tennessee, where my brother lives and I live in Georgia. We Have taken my mother‘s vehicle there for repair two different times and it was worth the drive. They are very thorough with their diagnosis of problems and are so good about explaining what needs to be done and why. We had an issue with the air conditioner and they repaired it. It worked great for a couple of weeks and stopped working again. They took the car back and fixed the problem at no charge. These guys are honest and do a superb job. We are going to take our Ford truck to them also because we trust them with our vehicles. John and the crew are great! Give them a try I promise you won’t be disappointed like with other repair shops.

Had to go back after oil change bc of a leak. Tried to blow me off and make me wait almost a week. The response should’ve been “come right now” and not one sorry for your inconvenience or nothing. Been coming here for years and never been treated this way. The excuse to blow me off was a storm that never came and was due to show 2 days later. Trying not to let one bad experience dictate whether I come back or not but if there has been a leadership change this doesn’t bode well. 🤔

I was looking for an alternative to the dealer for service on a BMW X3. Hoping to save a little money. I had already been quoted a price from the BMW of Chattanooga on the brakes and alignment. The pricing at S&S for the brakes and alignment was within $10 of what the dealer charges, but S&S charges $181.43 for a European Oil Change versus $119.85 at BMW of Chattanooga. I actually ended up paying about $50 more for the same service (oil change, alignment, and rear brakes) at S&S than I would have paid at the BMW dealership. Communication from the shop after drop off was good and the pricing was quoted prior to starting any work. I did have to leave the vehicle overnight because S&S couldn’t get the brakes same day. That wasn’t a problem and S&S communicated that to me timely. I have no issue with the service. The work and communication was professional. My only issue with S&S is the pricing. I expected there to be some savings versus the BMW dealer, but that wasn’t the case for me. Based on this experience, I don’t have any incentive to use S&S versus the BMW dealership for service going forward.

I don't know where to begin... Originally I had taken my Jeep to S&S because I had heard knocking in my engine. Understandably I had assumed this was going to be a bigger issue, and took it to their shop for a diagnostic. The results were that I needed to replace the rockers and 1 of the 6 cam shafts. A week later we received the vehicle, and as soon as I started driving I felt something was wrong. Two hours later, after driving 15 minutes away, I went to start the jeep and it wouldn't start. Turns out a piston had shattered in my engine. There is no way to definitively say whether or not this was due to the repair, but I have my suspicions. So at this point, I had to buy a new engine. They quoted me an astronomical amount to replace it with a used engine. I found a remanufactured engine at less than half the price, and they were "Nice Enough" to charge me half the labor. This turned out to be a joke because after the engine was installed I had to take my vehicle to a different shop because there were installation issues. These issues included missing bolts on the AC compressor, and a broken evaporation hose sitting on a heating element!?!?!? I could probably take it back to S&S to fix, because it would be under warranty. But why and how could I trust them to do the job properly? 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Sub-par maintenance wrapped up in a pretty package to justify overcharging.

The dealership also charged extra for services included in the standard service at other dealership’s. The only thing I would say they could improve was communication.

Every time my car has needed service or routine work, I have taken it to S&S! Their staff are all extremely warm and inviting. They have a nice waiting room with free WiFi and snacks, and a free shuttle service to take you where you need to go if you don’t want to wait there. The mechanics are honest and personal, and they talk through each option openly with you before making you pay for anything. I never feel in the dark, and I am in complete control over what happens to my vehicle. They have always been able to help me. I highly recommend!

Made online appt to determine source of odd sound from front wheels. I took advantage of their complimentary shuttle service rather than wait on site. John was my service advisor; he called several hours later with a detailed explanation of repairs recommended per the comprehensive safety inspection, following up with email. Their price point was more than competitive, John impressed me with his detailed answers and his commitment to preform quality work and their generous repair warranty. It was convenient to have their shuttle pick me up in a timely manner from my home. Overall, I give them an outstanding recommendation for price, work quality and integrity. It was a nice change from other vendors who try to take advantage. Will definitely use them again.

This is the place. I've been coming here for 10+ years, and I am always satisfied. No one likes to have auto issues, but the friendly, efficient, knowledgeable staff at S&S walks you through it with a kindness and honesty that takes the sting out of it. There is a comfortable waiting area with drinks and snacks for free, a shuttle driver who will drop you off wherever you need to be and pick you up when your car is ready!!
