I am in Kansas City to see may daughter. My truck broke down with a fuel pump issue. Had it towed to S&S. I am very happy I called here. I was treated honestly and professionally. They explained the issue and showed me the part needed. I had to get on the road back to Minnesota and they worked into their lunch to diagnose it. They got the part and had me on the road in a couple hours. I highly recomend S&S and they would be my go to if I lived in Kansas City

Have used S&S for many years, especially for my older cars. Have always trusted their inspections and suggestions. The staff is over-the-top professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Prompt and thorough repairs and replacements (when needed). Exceptionally clean service area and waiting area. And how about those bonus bucks !!

Great service, would highly recommend. Fair pricing. Car felt 5 years newer after I drove off after having master cylinder replaced and tie rod replaced. They, like all other automotive places I have been to, identify a list of things above and beyond what you brought your car in for. They went through the list, identified what were safety issues and what were not, what would fail me on my car inspection (they also identified when that was up for renewal) and what wouldn't. They emailed me the list with prices and were fine when I asked for a day to think over it. They did have some double charge items on the list, like break inspection charge but I just opted in to the safety and maintenance items I wanted addressed and had the car back the next day after giving the go-ahead on the work. Professional, courteous, thorough, and fair. I was told I would get an email with pictures at the time the maintenance list and pricing was sent to me, but I never received that.

Wonderful business and great people! As a middle aged single woman, I'm a prime target for dishonest people! I completely trust S&S to tell me the truth. They check out everything and let me know what needs to be fixed and also what will need to be fixed down the road (my car's 11 years old so there's always something.), but there's never any pressure. The office people are friendly and helpful. They filled out all the paperwork for my rebate. All I had to do was stamp it and put it the mail! Awesome customer service. I'll never bring my vehicle anywhere else.

This place ís a rip off. Charged $108 for a cabin air filter. $86 to replace 2 bulbs. $500 for 2 rear shocks that didn't need replaced. This was done to a woman who knows nothing about automobiles who came in for a simple MVI. Unethical at best stay away

***UPDATE*** After posting my initial review, which was a bit critical, I talked to Jerry, who both apologized and offered to have my car cleaned on the inside. He also promised me that from now on I should expect nothing but stellar service. Because of the professional and courteous way he addressed my concerns, I've upped this review to four stars. On my next visit, I'll push it to five based on how that goes. I do expect it to be excellent, by the way, based on my talk with Jerry. I also know none of us are perfect. That we all make mistakes and have bad days. It's how we handle those that make the difference. And they clearly understand that at S and S. ***INITIAL REVIEW*** Very nice people. BUT ... my first and last time there, I had an oil change. They were kind enough to recommend not rotating tires even though I asked them too. They suggested that I wait because my tread wear looked really good. However, when I got my car back, I was missing two of my stainless valve caps, the car was half a quart low on oil, all four tires were low and, the worst part, there were greasy handprints all over the off-white interior of my car, including on the A-pillar, roof liner, and seats. Still can't get the ones off the A-pillars and roof liner. It's too bad because they were very nice and pretty convenient. But that lack of detail on helping me care for my car just won't do. I tend to take really good care of my cars and that allows me to keep them a very long time.

Greg was very professional from the beginning to the end. The pricing was reasonable and what I like the most is there was a 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty provided. I had a brief encounter with the rest of the staff and everyone was really nice. I had a lot of work done on my vehicle and the work was done promptly. I will definitely refer S & S to friends and family members.

I Truly Appreciate Shelly and the entire Staff at S&S Service Center! I have a rare truck that was damaged. Parts were discontinued, And Shelly was still able to locate the exact part needed. And S&S did Excellent Job installing the the part and repairing the damage. I definitely recommend S&S Service Center for Auto Care.

I brought my 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 in after installing some BC Coilovers. It needed a full alignment, rotation, and height adjustment. They got it all done in good time and were very friendly through the process. I even received a call before they started working on it to make sure it's all adjusted to my liking. I was very pleased to learn they knew how to adjust even my aftermarket suspension. Looking good!

We were visiting Kansas City and we had car problems. A friend who lives there recommended S&S. She said she had been going there for 28 years. We called them and they said bring it in. Mind you it was on a tow truck. They sourced the problem, got the factory proprietary part ordered and we were ready to go the next morning by 9:00. Incredible customer service and fair beyond belief on the price. I will keep their card in my wallet in case I ever have issues again while in KC. Shelly and Jerry get 5 stars from me!!!!

After 30 years in the auto repair business, I faced the dilemma of picking a shop to take care of my family after I retired. Living in Kansas, I focused on shops that would be convenient to me. After several disappointments related to work quality , communication failures and misdiagnosis, the challenge peaked when the dealership told my Son in Law that catastrophic failure was imminent if he did not approve over $5000.00 of repairs on his late model Honda. I told him to politely pay for the diagnosis and pick up the car. I've always known about the quality and training at S&S and we did some car and ride juggling to bring it to Missouri for a second look. Out of the 7 repairs considered essential by the first mechanic, only two appeared to be accurate and only one needed immediate repair. I am only one customer but my resume indicates that I have an advantage when it comes to picking a shop for my family. The answer is simple. Unless you have a mechanic or shop that you swear by , take the time to bring your work to S&S. Jerry, Shelley , Lee and Donny take the worries out of one part of life. Like I told my Son in Law, you might not like spending money on fixing your car but at least here, you know that you are paying only for what you need and at a fair price.

DO NOT trust them. I took my vehicle for a simple repair there and the charged me $500 for a $90 part (I looked up price of part afterward because it seemed too high), plus charged fee for labor as if a $410 markup was not enough. They were supposed to clean out the repair area and didn't, I saw debris/mess that shouldn't have been there if they'd cleaned it out. I was a female, alone and unfamiliar with cars, I feel they took advantage of that and waaayyyy overcharged me. Do not recommend this service station at all!

New to town and the day I was planning to get my vehicle registration I realized I needed the ID and odometer inspection! S&S got me in right away and even told me to return and they would put on the plates when I said my tools were all still in storage. Wonderful team that I will use again!
