I had issues 600 miles into a 3 week trip and after trying a few shops that wouldn’t squeeze an assessment in I found Sage Creek Repair just before they closed. They made room for me the next morning to assess the vehicle. Not only did they identify the issue I was concerned about but found two other major unnoticed safety issues during their assessment. Any one of these issues could have caused a loss of control of the vehicle at any time a quick google search confirmed. I was very stressed after getting the news as the vehicle was not safe to continue driving with any one of these issues never mind all three. Sage Creek went out of their way to address and fix all three issues as fast as they could get parts and get me on my way so I could salvage my trip. Their customer service was above most I have come across in any industry. Not only with me but their other customers as well. I witnessed countless interactions while spending a lot of time in their waiting room. They were very informative and gave out rationale recommendations but ultimately let each customer decide how they wanted to proceed. It also add peace of mind that they provided a full inspection report on the vehicle but in no way tried to push anything except the items that made the vehicle unsafe to drive. In my case I was able to visually see the two new safety issues after viewing the report this made it easy to proceed confidently with Sage Creek completing the repairs.

Did a full diagnosis of all the issues on my vehicle for a very fair price. Even did a dye test to discover exactly where my fluids were leaking from. Unfortunately, the solution would cost much more than my vehicle was worth - but they were very positive and helpful, even after deciding not to move forward. Also, I LOVE how well they communicated via email and an online review of all of the major, intermediate and low issues they found - along with video on some things to show me exactly what was happening. I was so impressed with their processes and communication technology.

Not too happy that they want to charge me $300-$400 to read my check engine code then charge me additional for any repair. Auto parts stores charge $0 to read my codes. Other auto repair places in CA will use $$ from reading codes towards repair unless the do not fix my car.

I am leaving a glowing review for Sage Creek. They are patient and kind, and embody the definition of customer service. Our 20 year old car was undriveable, Sage Creek got us in right away to have it looked at. They completed a diagnostic and thorough check of the vehicle. The communication and updates through text messages was very helpful so we could make informed decisions about the car quickly. The work was completed within days and the price was very fair. WOW! I have never had an experience with an auto repair shop like this. I live in Georgia and my daughter was working in Idaho for the summer. Less than a week before she was scheduled to start her drive back across the country, her car threw a code that could have prevented her from making the trip. The shop provided me with a detailed report that included pictures and videos of the issue. They expedited her repair, communicated clearly every step of the way, and got her back on the road in time. What really impressed me was that I could see video proof not only of the problem but also after the work was performed—no question about whether the job was done right. Outstanding service, transparency, and peace of mind. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

My daughter recently relocated from Boise to Idaho Falls. We'd been concerned about a few issues on her car, so what to do but hope that we could find someone local that could be trusted for auto repair. Turns out the folks at Sage Creek Auto are just what we were looking for. We'd gone in thinking probably a brake job and a few other things, however when Sage Creek conducted a thorough multi-point inspection, it was determined we were generally good to go a bit longer. Seems like some shops would jump at doing a brake job when you mention you're worried about the brakes. Their inspection results are tucked away in my email and I now know what to do and when it's time to revisit issues. They've earned us as a customer today and I can rest easy knowing there's someone local I can trust.

Took a vehicle in for a bad water pump. I thought I kind of knew what the problem was and was hoping to get pricing. They did a full vehicle inspection along with the pressure test without charging me any extra! The inspection revealed a few small issues with the vehicle that I was not aware of. They worked with me on price and were super prompt and friendly. The vehicle was returned to me clean and working. I wouldn't have any problem referring them to friends. Thanks for the good work.

I brought my 2009 Jeep Liberty to Sage Creek Repair because I noticed a noise coming from the front of my vehicle and believed my front brakes needed replacement. Although I had my brakes done a few months ago, I frequently tow my Jeep behind an RV and was passing through, so I wanted them checked. From the beginning, the experience felt uncomfortable. While waiting, I overheard another customer being quoted around $3,000, and when I reacted in surprise, the front desk employee began explaining why that situation was so expensive…even though it had nothing to do with my vehicle. I asked multiple times how much it would cost just to look at my car. I did not receive an answer until after my vehicle had already been taken into the shop, at which point I was told the inspection fee was $55. That should have been a red flag, as I had clearly asked for pricing beforehand. When I decided I did not want any work done and only wanted to pay the inspection fee, the price was suddenly changed to $70. After I questioned why it was no longer $55, it was changed back to $55. I was then presented with a long list of “issues” totaling approximately $2,800. This was extremely surprising, as I came in only for a brake concern. The employee and a mechanic stepped away to quietly discuss my vehicle, which added to my discomfort. When I declined all repairs and stated I would just pay the inspection fee, I was pressured to sign a waiver stating the shop would not be liable if something happened after I left. I was told alarming things such as: • My car could catch on fire • My tires could lock up • Driving it could cause major damage None of this aligned with why I originally brought the car in. After leaving SCR, a very loud metal-on-metal screeching noise (I heard after driving without being hooked up to RV)…something that was not present before and something I could not hear while towing behind the RV. Concerned, I took my Jeep to Firestone for a second opinion. Firestone found that the backing plates were bent and rubbing hard against the brakes. I was also told my brakes were 8 out of 10, my rotors did not need replacement, and I only needed new brake pads on the front, confirming my original concern. Based on my experience, I left feeling pressured, confused, and uneasy about how my vehicle was handled. I recommend others ask very clear questions upfront, get pricing in writing before work begins, and consider getting a second opinion.

I thought I’d try Sage Creek Repair for the first time with some issues we were having with our Family vehicle. The diagnosis was the most thorough I’ve ever seen with pictures and video for a complete transparency. They were very clear on scope of work to perform and the transactions for the deposit and the final payment were super easy. They did a great job on our van. Although there were a few hiccups with the timing of getting parts, they were very good at communicating that to us so we could plan our lives around the absence of our vehicle. I feel like they were very honest with the way they conduct their business and I would highly recommend them again, and I plan on using them in the future.
