I have been driving an old BMW that I knew needed a lot of work; more work than the book value of the car. I was really uncertain about investing more and worried it was a money pit. Fred carefully walked me through all the repairs needed, helped me think about the the trade offs involved, and gave me confidence in the decision to make the repairs. His quote was solid. All the things he suggested we consistent with what I already knew or suspected. He showed me all the parts he replaced and walked me through his examination of the issues he found. Bottom line: if you have a car that needs attention... Go to Fred and Signature.

The owner Fred is great. They rebuilt my engine about a year ago and couldn't have been more patient and honest when explaining the pros and cons of the costly repair. The car has been running great ever since. I recently made the mistake of getting my oil changed at a quick service chain. They left my oil filter loose, which resulted in leaking oil. I returned to that shop and they said their work was fine and that it must be a gasket that went bad. I took my car to Signature Auto Repair and they discovered that the only issue was the loose filter. They quickly and graciously fixed the problem that the chain store caused. Again, Fred couldn't have been nicer. I will definitely be going to Signature Auto Repair for my oil changes from now on!!

Owner Fred takes the stress out of getting your car repaired! He gives you a thorough diagnosis of all immediate and potential mechanical issues, explains them in order of priority and then helps you decide what the best options are for you. Fred has a loyal customer base, and his repairs are excellent and timely. Since I met Fred just one month ago I have taken all three of my cars to him and have been totally satisfied. And here is the best part, instead of emptying out your savings, he is the first repair shop I have ever used to offer payment options. Fred always goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with his work, and he just happens to be a nice guy too!

I’m very unhappy with the service at this company. I called around a few local mechanics to see who could work on a 2017 Range Rover Sport. Some said they couldn’t, but Signature Automotive claimed they could. I had a coolant leak -low coolant indicator problem. After a couple days and over $1500 for parts and labor, the low coolant indicator resurfaced just a few days later. I topped up then informed Fred, who told me if it happens again to bring it back. A few days later it happened again, this time worse with another indicator that engine was overheating. I was forced to pull over to the freeway shoulder and tow the vehicle last Friday to Land Rover when I got billed $1786 for the same problem I thought Signature automotive could fix but didn’t fix. When I called today to register my dissatisfaction with Fred, I got that there are many hoses in the cooling system and it could be a different hose in the span of a few days. No offer for any kind of even partial compensation for double expense on the same problem. I regret that I went to this establishment. I don’t believe they are honest and I would not recommend this place for even a bicycle repair.

If I could give Fred a 10 star review I would. Came to him early in the year to get some sensors fixed; my car's computer was such a hassle and he still only charged me for the small amount of labor we thought it was going to be, even after spending hours and hours fixing/replacing the computer and the sensors. I've had my catalytic stolen twice in the past 4 months and he's always been such an advocate for me to my insurance company, all while getting the job done in such an impressively quick turnaround. Rare type of business where they never talk down to you or try to take advantage of your misfortune. Even if you are absolutely sold with your current mechanic, you should check out Signature Auto because it's for sure the only place I'll be taking my cars as long as I live in LA.
