Great shop with a convenient location and the cheapest prices in H-town. I'm very glad to have found this gem after many years of getting charged 2X at other mechanics and dealerships. Owner Gene is super friendly and helpful.

answered the phone 5 mins before they opened, which was nice because i broke down and needed help quickly. their suggestion for a tow company was a good one. they were up front and honest about the pricing and did a bit of extra diagnosis and check-up because the repair wound up being a quick one.

Great neighborhood shop. Get all my routine car maintenance from them. It’s also nice that it’s next to a hand carwash, where I can get all my car clean and running smooth.

This was a horrible service from Hell. This owner Gene, who I talked to several times said he would take care of us. He charged us way to much for an oil change, $100. Him & his Car wash guy lied to us about the cost. Mike the car wash guy told me $60.00. I said that's good, our other RV guy cost $60.00. 30ft x $2.00. This Gene guy had $125.00 for car wash on the ticket, then tried to tell us oh, it's $165.00 for wash. Then, he tried to tell us our Privately owned Class C RV was a Commercial Vehicle, & he was doing us a favor, & it should be cost for commercial Truck. I caught him in 3 lies. Stay away from this business. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

Changed my battery on my Mercedes. Gave me the best quote of 4 places that I Contacted in the area and they did my inspection. They were laid back and easy. So far all is well a week later! No frills here but nice on the wallet. Recommended

I recently came to do my annual state inspection. Great service along with wonderful owner and staff at a fair price! Highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Silber Auto Repair if you live in the Spring Branch East area.

My late husband took care of our vehicles but I now have too. I was referred to Gene about 5 years ago. He is very fair in pricing and treats me with respect. Patrick is very good at explaining to me what my car needs to be repaired. So for all the single women out there this the place where you will not be taken advantage of.

Silber Auto is our go-to for oil changes and inspections. Paul is efficient, very helpful, and tells it like it is. Can't go wrong if you want good results, and we love supporting local businesses!

I popped in for a State Inspection today. Technician was very quick to help me, friendly and professional. I was in and out of the shop in no time with the right paperwork and instructions on where I could get my registration sticker quickly (nearby Kroger). Would definitely come here again.

After a 30 second discussion, I decided to take my business elsewhere. If you’re looking for somebody who’s impolite and has an attitude problem, this is your guy! Comment on owner’s reply: The owner says I didn’t pay him for his work. When I got there, I politely asked if he could check the tire pressure and said I would give him a $10 gratuity. As he completed the first tire and moved to the second tire, I told him that it was not right by 4 psi (my car has a gauge on the dashboard for tire pressures which I told him I was checking) and asked him to please adjust it. His reply: “Do it yourself then”. Yes, after he said this, I told him to stop, not to bother and I drove off to another nearby garage that took care of it very quickly and cordially. The fact that, from his reply, he expected any money after this 30 second experience (literally 30 seconds of zero service) speaks for itself.

New owner is a great guy, I like him just as much as the old guy. Very fair prices. Honest, always does a perfect job, fast and friendly. Really knows his stuff. I have used them for 10 years and I have always been happy with the work.

Had a great experience with Silber Auto. Got in early, they were able to take my car first and finished the oil change service in less than 45 minutes. Will be returning for future service needs!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just wanted to give a shout out to Silber Auto on Silber Rd in front of Walmart. They are AMAZING! I went a few weeks ago to get my oil change and they were quick and very kind! I went today to get my inspection and Paul was so sweet! He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and even gave me recommendations on things that might give me issues in the future but didn’t push to get it done right then and there like other places would have done which I appreciated! Their customer service is awesome! I would definitely recommend them if you are in the area and need a honest place for oil change, inspection, auto repairs, and they even do hand car wash and detailing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Nobody available to perform a simple oil change during peak business hours (Saturday, 2:15pm) and didn’t have a common oil weight (0w30 in stock at Walmart next door and was readily available at a professional shop). He said come back the following day, when I did, he was not there and nobody was there to service the car, even though the shop was "open." I recommend going to a professional shop that won't waste your time. Edit: Dropped from 2 stars to 1 because he's obviously also dishonest. I was never asked to set an appointment, just "come back tomorrow." So disappointed in this mom and pop shop. Hopefully you won't waste your time on this place like I did.

First of all man these responses are crazy! Y'all must've caught Paul on a bad day or something. Call him a reformed man or just crazy entitled people doing their thing but when I came in it was all customer service and business. I went in for a second opinion on some engine troubles and Paul was eager to help. I was relieved when he actually found out what was wrong with the car and showed me. Super honest, transparent and straight to the point. Shops let alone mechanics like Paul need to stick around. The previous shop I went to was very vague and their solution was to buy a whole rebuilt engine which is costly and not fun. Will be coming back to do my inspections and various other maintenance work for all my other vehicles and you should too!

I brought my son's car in for an oil change, inspection and detail. I'm helping my son get back on his feet and they were so kind and professional. I'm bringing the car back later for a more extensive detail. Highly recommend this place.

I am a widow. I know nothing about cars. And Paul the mechanic took complete advantage of this. I told him I couldn’t afford to change the rear rotor. He charged $190 labor *PER brake pad change! So a total of $488.25 for everything. imo, Paul is a thief! Please STAY AWAY. Again, please STAY AWAY.
