Awful place terrible service and just rude. They are so incompetent and they put parts on your car you don't even ask for after i get it "repaired" there my engine starts smoking I've gotten fixed there 3 times and each time they dropped the ball I would never recommend going here

I changed my battery right before I needed a smog for registration. I had no idea that I would wipe out the vehicles computer information needed to complete the test. I was told I had a second test for free, so to drive the vehcle and come back after the weekend. I did and there was still not enough inforamtion on the computer to complete the test. Cesear got on the phone with me and described the best way to drive the vehicle to log up the information. He also told me to come by anytime and they would monitor the car to see if it was ready. I went back there a total of 7 times before my computer finally logged enough information to pass the smog test. I was never charged for the visits, nor did I feel like I was a bother to any number of the persons I came into contact with at the shop. The mechanic, front office guy and Ceasear himself were awesome and I will be back for a number of reasons. Thanks a ton!. Samantha PS. I don't understand how a person can experience bad service and then be a three time repeat customer. Maybe Corky is a little confused??? This place is great!

Unfortunate but I needed quite a bit of work, some I did and the rest this old buzzard can't do- Ceasar and his guys did. They went above and beyond. They are very knowledgeable-take it from a guy in all aspects of automotive repairs/service for a very long time- Ceasar and his crew have the skills and knowledge. If you haven't got the patience it takes to wipe your own ass- go somewhere else and let these guys do their work in peace. Things can/do happen in any service related industry that affect time estimates, parts/cost. If you don't understand that- buy a bicycle. The Over Simplified Summary: Took my 2008 Jetta in for a smog; it failed due to the dipstick missing a seal. Cesar called and ordered the part and they got it installed; passed my Smog. The Good: Cesar communicated well about the part's delivery time, kept me updated about what was needed to pass the smog test, and when my car was going to be done. He got the part to the shop before noon and my car was finished before 3. (I work a few blocks away and didn't need it through out the day, so this timeline worked well for me.) The Bad: #1 - I was there at 7:25a, 5 minutes before they open, just to make sure I would be able to drop it off before work. Greg was the first one into the shop and arrived at around 7:45a. He took my paperwork and told me that he didn't have access to the computer to input my information; not a big deal, but a little irked that the shop opened later than posted time. #2 - Cesar let me know over the phone that the replacement dipstick would be $20; at checkout the price of the dipstick was $30. #3 (the bad one) - Jack was the tech that cashed me out. He was playing on his phone when I came in (no big deal), but he stopped in the middle of going over my paperwork with me to play a hand in his game, waited, and then resumed cashing me out. That was the big irk factor for me and I am not easily upset. Overall: Car passed smog; yay! Customer service was less than stellar, borderline bad. More than likely will not go back there. As always, YMMV.

I've been going to DT Smog Diagnosis for a few years for small services. They are respectful, genuine a d honest. Today I came in and they saw the milage on my car and called the dealership because the service might be covered by the warranty. Saving me some money that they could have take. This is why I will continue to go to them for all my car service needs.

I will definitely be bringing my car back to cezar for the my remaining repairs, he was amazing! Cezar was very informative, professional, and polite. He made me feel comfortable with allowing him to do my breaks and roters. Not only that. He made sure all of my fluids were in tact . I was able to sit and wait for my car to be finished, and the best part of it all he gave me an amazing price. It took me a few years to find a mechanic I can trust when I moved to Midtown 10 years ago. From the very beginning, Caesar & crew went above and beyond to get my car fixed & got me where I needed to be. This is the only shop that I go to for an oil change or when my car needs to be fixed. Recently, I got my brakes fixed and Caesar went out of his way to drop me off at work so I could make my meeting in time. The quality service, the cost & the kindness keep me going back!

Wasn’t treated well as a customer. With the coupon, the price was the best around, but I’d rather pay $7 more for some customer service and my time back. The owner honked at me when I pulled in and idled, searching for parking (I was in his way, but it’s a small lot). When I got in, I wasn’t acknowledged for a while, and once I finally was, he made no attempt to take my keys so I could drop off the car. When I flagged him down to ask if I could drop off, he frustratedly and rudely told me that he was with a customer, and that there was another customer ahead of me. Instead I went to Smog Express down 16th street, where the worker (possibly owner) greeted me immediately and told me he could have me in and out in 20min, for a comparable (albeit slightly more expensive) price.
