Great service! Serviced my car at the fraction of a cost estimate given to me by a subaru dealership. Awesome customer service and care. It’s amazing to find a mechanic you can trust.

I've been a Soundview Service Center customer for more than 20 years and through 5 cars, both domestic and foreign. The mechanics at Soundview are highly skilled and dependable. I am consistently impressed at their diagnostic and mechanical abilities. The service at Soundview is impeccable. They'll come and get you if you are stranded, they will diagnose the problem accurately and give you an honest assessment of what is needed and what the cost will be. I will be a customer for life.

The team at Soundview is knowledgeable, thorough, pragmatic, and works with a level of integrity that you just don’t see with frequency anymore. I trust both their judgement and the quality of their work equally, and rely on the team for all of my out-of-warranty service needs. 10/10 would highly recommend.

First time customer, but certainly not a last time customer. I felt very well taken care of from start to finish, appreciated the consistent and clear communication and the accurate cost estimates, as well as the suggestions of what needed to be done vs. what would need to be done eventually. My car is 34 years old and they got in in great shape for the summer season. Would highly recommend.

This place has experienced mechanics that have many years of experience under their belts and will take the to not only fix your car but make sure you are fully aware of any maintenance issues on the horizon. They’re also very well equipped to deal with a brand new car that needs maintenance as well as cars like mine pushing 40 years old, with systems many mechanics these days have no knowledge on how to service. You will not be disappointed trusting these guys with your vehicle.

All of the staff was incredibly helpful, and even took the time to show me and explain what exactly went wrong, followed by the steps they would take to make the repair. 100% recommend and will definitely be back for any future repairs!

I brought my car in as a first time customer and they couldn’t have been nicer, more accommodating or more professional. I felt totally taken care of. They fixed my issue quickly and at a really fair price. I hope my car doesn’t need too much servicing in the future but if it does - I’ll definitely be bringing it back to Soundview Service Center in North.

For a tuneup I'd been used to spending over a grand at the dealership in Darien, months to schedule ahead of time, long turnaround. With Joe, Pete and Phil, lightning speed and extreme diligence, and for a price so much lower than expected I then go buy my wife something nice. To have mechanics you can trust is a precious thing, and if that sounds more appealing to you than being fleeced at the dealership, definitely pay Soundview Service Center North a visit.

Timing and efficient service. Fairly priced work and a friendly team. Saved me $600 relative to dealer affiliated service quote.

Ralph and Peter used to be <5 minutes from our house. Now it’s closer to half an hour, but they’re still our service station of choice. Great people, great service!

We had driven down to Old Greenwich in 2 vehicles. My wife’s vehicle’s brakes were grinding by the time we got there and needed to be replaced. I needed to go back to Canada in 3 days while my wife would be staying for another week. I brought the vehicle into their garage and they showed me their appointment book and they were booked solid for a week and a half. There was no way my wife could be without a vehicle once I left. Joe drove the it around the block and immediately knew what needed to be done. Joe asked me to leave the vehicle with him and he would see what he could do. He understood our predicament and said he would try to work on it if he had some time - with no guarantees. Two days later Joe called me to come and pick up the vehicle as all the work had been done. Joe was amazing to work with and the price was reasonable. The work they did was excellent. The service was wonderful. I would highly recommend them for any auto work. Thank you Joe and all your team.

Don't know about the other reviews. But my car was left in a shoddy state and very unprofessional approach to work. The original problem was the oil went dry and engine wouldn't start. They were supposed to refill oil and diagnose if the car was salvageable. Ultimately, the insurance company got the car towed to be taken to their salvage yard so they could inspect it there. No work was done on salvage yard except insurance adjuster looked under car to confirm oil plug missing and for and signs of physical damage. No damage so after insurance inspection it was brought back to my house. ***No work was done on salvage yard except insurance adjuster looked under car to confirm oil plug missing and for and signs of physical damage. *** Here's what Sound Service worked on: ** Determined oil plug had fallen out. Put in new plug filled oil. ** Determine battery was dead. Tried to recharge old battery. ** Put in new battery and pulled out starter motor to check if it was bad. Starter motor is good. ** Deemed car engine fried -- OK agree. ** BUT did not put any parts back! Huh? Screws and parts just left as is in car hood and trunk. Here's how the car was left: SEE PICTURES ATTACHED: INVOICE ALSO ATTACHED. ** Starter motor was still out and wires left loose. Starter motor was found in trunk. ** The belt driving the radiator/water pump was removed but not put back. ** Engine cover and air intake manifold (see pics) removed but not put back -- screws lying loose under the hood. ** Promptly removed their battery but left old battery disconnected. ** Removed decorative ring around gear shift -- probably to access gear box?? -- Ring is missing. ** Used black latex glove left hanging under hood on starter motor and used paper towel under hood. ** Driver's side door dirty with hand-dirt. ** Included $75 for trying to recharge battery. Half price of a new battery. A professional business makes efforts to return a car to its original state -- ESPECIALLY IF LABOR CHARGES WERE CHARGED for doing the disassembly. It does not matter what is going to be done to the car afterwards. So I should only pay 50% labor charge then?? A whole lot of nickel and diming went on. Even claimed that some of what they did was "complementary", when their job required the work to diagnose the car and labor charges were charged to me. They could have offered to come over and put the parts back. Just gave up with them. It always is like pulling teeth with car mechanics.

Sound View Service Center did excellent work repairing an oil leak on my 12 yo jeep wrangler. They clearly communicated the problem, the work required to repair, and their pricing. Never fun to have unexpected expenses on an older vehicle, but they explained exactly what was going on, gave me an accurate estimate, and set reasonable expectations for how long it would take to fix.

I can't say enough good things about them. They are very nice people, honest and always get the job done right the first time. I have worked with them the times now for my Chevy Tahoe and they have been terrific. I would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation!
