I came here from a friend's recommendation, and would highly recommend! I got three estimates and South Medford Auto Body had the lowest estimate (by about $200). The estimates were also different in details - the labor hourly rate was the lowest (charging a private customer the same as what insurance would accept) and the emphasis is on repair rather than simply replace. I worked with Siera (the owner) the entire time, and she's very easy, professional, courteous to work with. When they identified additional damage inside, she sent photos and explained what is needed, what can be repaired, and what may not be essential. Very easy to work with. They also have an agreement with Enterprise Car Rental across the street for inexpensive/easy rental during the repair. For those of us who don't know much about cars (and especially not about body repairs), it's really important to work with someone/a business that you can trust, and that is also helping you to save a few dollars whenever possible - and South Medford/Siera definitely does that. Highly recommended if you do have to get body repair done!

I took my Acura to get repaired after it was hit by another vehicle. I had to go through the insurance process to get everything completed, which can be long and convulsed but South Medford Auto Body made it completely seamless and took care of all the the back and forth in between. They did a spectacular job of fixing the damage, and went above and beyond and cleaned the inside and out of the car too and made my car seem like it was a brand new car on the dealership floor when I was picking it up. They were extremely flexible on scheduling and made themselves very available to send me updates and address any questions or concerns that came up. Because of the wrong part sent by the automaker there was a slight mix-up, but South Medford Auto Body went way out of the way to more than make up for it! I can not say enough great things up their quality of work and commitment to exceptional customer service and am recommending it to my friends or anyone in the Boston area looking for a great body shop!

I'm extremely happy with the service I got when I brought my car to South Medford Auto Body recently. The owner made the whole thing stress-free, was updated, and provided clear explanations of everything. They quickly changed my oil, replaced my brakes, and recharged my ac. Previously they had repaired my beaten up bumper on my Civic. It looked brand new, and it didn't cost an arm and leg to have done! I can't recommend South Medford Auto Body enough!

I can't recommend them enough! They made what was an incredibly annoying hit and run into a painless, like-new repair. The turnaround time was very quick, and Siera was very helpful at every step of the way in answering questions, keeping me updated on the process, and updating me on correspondence with my insurance company. Overall, extremely professional. I couldn't have asked for better customer service or attention to detail. Thank you so much everybody! P.S. Cars of Davis Sq/Somerville - I can see the paint transfer from the scrape. Not leaving insurance info was kind of you... Know a police report was filed, even if they can't do much. :)

Got a nice dent and scrape down the side of my car right near the gas cap. Took it to a couple of places but found South Medford Auto had the most reasonable price and could do the work the quickest. They worked with me on a convenient time to drop it off and do the work. It took them the exact amount of time estimated and the price was as quoted. They held the car for a couple of extra days to allow me to arrange to get it. The car was clean inside and out when I received it and the staff was very professional. Highly recommend to anyone in need of autobody work.

I took my car to get a leak in my evap system fixed, and an oil change. I ask for them to check out my vacuum pump. I paid before the work was done. My mistake. I pick up the car. A day later my check engine light is on again. The same codes that I brought the car in with come up. There's no indication an oil change was done. No sticker with the next mileage I'll need my next oil change. I call to get some clarity about the "repairs" and oil change. As in why they did what they did. How did they come to the conclusion what needed to be fixed. Their receipts don't include this information. Just costs. I ask to speak with the person who worked on my car. Instead I'm sent a report with the codes that they found and told I should Google them. I insist to speak to the repair person. The woman in the office has to translate. This is not the first time I contacted them for clarity, but is clearly the first time the office woman spoke to the guy who worked on my car. They go over the codes that came up. Which I already knew and had. He confirms he never did the oil change. If I didn't insist on her speaking with him and heard him say "no", they would have kept my money and had me driving thinking my oil was changed potentially further damaging my car, and kept my money for doing nothing. Then tell me my car has a stink to it and laugh about it together. No communication unless you insist, didn't fix the problem they found, don't follow simple instructions, and are rude. No sense or attempt at service. And no problem taking your money without confirming the work was done. Then had the audacity to tell me to drop the car off to be looked at again. No attempt to try to make it right outside of attempting to get paid AGAIN to "look" at the problem they found and didn't fix. I gave a star because you can't post without giving at least a star. Don't waste your time, and most importantly hard earned money here.

I had my car repaired at South Medford Auto Body after a hit and run. I had such a good experience with them! They’re super communicative and responsive - being able to text with the shop is so helpful. They also worked directly with my insurance when my car needed an additional appraisal. Finally, they did a truly outstanding repair job. My car looks brand new even though it had been scraped and dented along the entire driver’s side of the car. You truly can’t tell that there was ever damage there. I would definitely come back here for other auto body work or even for non-body work repairs.

South Medford Auto Body Shop gave me an estimate for repair on my Acura MDX 2013 and, once parts were in, fixed my front end problems later that week. I'm in a unique spot because I can actually directly confirm that the price was reasonable - that week, between my consultation visit and the repair appointment, I visited a local joint called Arco Tires & Services elsewhere in Somerville for their executive opinion on the damage and the price. And sure enough, given what needed to be done, they told me that "they wouldn't touch that price with a ten-foot pole". So take that little experience as proof that they have some pretty alright rates over at South Medford Auto Body Shop. Customer service was nice, too.

As a young woman whose first experience getting their car fixed was with them, I couldn’t be happier! They got back to me after hours of submitting my inquiry and always responded very fast. The pricing was reasonable, and they got my car done in a timely manner!! Very professional and friendly. I was really surprised at how easy everything done. I had accumulated some dents and scratches after having my car for 7 years and I got my car back looking brand new! I was pleasantly surprised to see that my car had been vacuumed and washed when I picked it up!! Highly recommend :)

Amazing service at a very reasonable price! I had damaged my car — the taillight, quarter panel, and rear bumper were all hit. Due to my limited budget, I initially planned not to fix the bumper for now. But to my surprise, while repairing the quarter panel, they also fixed and repainted the bumper for me — all without extra charge! It feels like I got a brand-new car back. I’m so grateful for their kindness and professionalism. Everyone here is super nice. You definitely won’t regret getting your car fixed at this place!

5/5 absolutely killed it. a guy tried to fix my door on the "cheap" and it looked awful. should have taken it here to start! texted them some photos and videos, got a quote, confirmed it in person, then dropped it off about a month later. texted me this morning that it was ready to go and the results are stunning. the paint matches and the damage was erased. they even cleaned the inside of the car, certainly didn't have to. the 3 has some beautiful curvature on that door & quarter panel, and I wasn't convinced it would come back, but they did it. thanks guys.

I am a real finicky consumer when it comes to paying for anything. If there is something wrong, the merchant will know about it. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and the auto body results with South Medford Auto Body & Repair. Sierra in the front office listened, was friendly and very professional. I did not meet the technician who performed the work on my 2025 Infiniti QX50 however the work was top notch. When I picked up my car not only was the exterior shiny and new, but they totally cleaned the interior, winter mats and all. Lastly, the price was reasonable. They did not try to gouge me like another shop right down the street did last year when I got a little scratch. I would highly recommend this shop and I would not hesitate to use them again (hopefully I won't have to).
