If i could i would give them no stars. I took my car to get it fix pick my car up 1hr later it broke down i called and he tried to tell me that was another problem that i never had and it will be 900 to fix it they unscrew my gas line so i could come back. True scam artist stay away bad service.

I can't say enough about these guys! I refer them to everyone on the mountain. I took my f-250 to a repair shop in Crestline. It was a horrible experience. Thankfully, I found South Western motors. Honest, fair, and knowledgeable. If I could give a 10 star I would!!!

Taso was great dealing in with me. I blew my engine on a 2013 dodge dart. These guys were honest in pricing, they had the best price to replace my engine in the inland empire, i called over 20 shops. It took them 1 1/2 weeks but it wouldve only been 1 week had the engine supplier sent the correct engine the first time. In the course of then replacing my engine they found the starter went bad from the engine seizing and me trying to start it after it blew, and my radiator was cracked. They replaced those at no extra labor cost i only had to pay for parts. I even tried to get them to fix my bearings because i thought they were bad some mechanics would have jumped at my inexperience and replaced it at my suggestion to make extra $, they looked and said it was good and no need to replace. Taso even worked with me on price to keep the bill from getting out of hand. This will be the only shop i leave my car at. They do not try to come up with extra problems to charge you an arm and a leg. It’s incredibly hard to find a good mechanic, they made a lifelong customer here. Thanks Alex and Taso.

been going here for a long time, got to know the owners, and always trust them with vehicles. not always the cheapest pricing on parts, but the quality of the work is always excellent, the personal level of service is excellent, and they are very fair and honest. they will try to find you the best price they can give, and they won't oversell you. if you wantquality, honest work at a great price, I highly recommend it.

Replaced the engine in my Tacoma with a JDM engine. They tried hard to "fix" the one I had, but it was done. They allowed me to supply some other new OE parts, clutch, gaskets, oil, etc. which was awesome. I was a little bummed when the final bill was about $450 higher than the original estimate. I guess I would have rather they estimated high, and billed less. All in all though, after 6 months and over 6000 miles, my truck is running fantastic. I would go back if I was in the same situation again.

Excellent work on my 1998 toyota tacoma. My tacoma was leaking puddles of oil I went to replace the oil pump and was ready for an expensive bill due to difficult access but they recommended me to replace pump seal and crank seal first which saved me a lot of money. They were able to fix the issue and return my truck the same day at a lower cost than other mechanic shops. Reliability and honesty. Found a new place for all my car problems 👍

This shop deserves 10 stars, the staff is very honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Tasso, the shop manager is very helpful and he would stop what he is doing and spend whatever time it takes to diagnose the problems for no charge while the other dealers charges $175 -$300 just to look at your car, and he only repairs whatever needs to be repaired and if the part is not defective he will refuse to replace it. Also, the quality of their work exceeds dealer's quality and they charges a fraction of what other dealers charge. Every time I take one of my cars for repairs or service I receive top quality work at a very reasonable price and the repairs get done on the same day, most of the time while I wait.

Car air conditioner was blowing hot air. Went in to fix it. Everything was fine until the car started blowing hot air again. Went in to get it fixed again through the warranty. Was fine for an hour and the hot air started blowing again. Will not be coming here again. The person at the front counter that I spoke to was nice. The other people around gave off a bad vibe.

My wife and I had our VW Passat repaired here. After getting the run around at the dealership for over 1 month and then doing research and shopping for an additional month we found South Western Motors. I immediately knew this would be the right place as Nico gave the most efficient and detailed written estimate I'd ever seen. He then gave us two repair options and tried the least expensive 1st. Our engine had too much damage so that didn't work out but the 2nd option wasn't that much more expensive. We've had our car back for about 3 weeks now and it runs great. Nico also taught us some things outside of what the dealers tell you to help keep any car running great. I hope that I never need another major repair for any of my cars but if I do I'm coming here. South western motors will get all my car repair business from this point on. Hey Nico, I just saw that you give 15% discounts to certain local employees, I forgot to tell you where I work. Is it too late for that discount? 😉🤣

Initial review after repairs: I urge anyone with an old high mileage vehicle that needs repairs to go to South Western Motors. Niko facilitated my repairs. The man was polite and very honest about the condition of my car and all the repairs needed to in order for the vehicle to be operable for my plans. The cost was reasonably good for the repairs done. Overall I am very satisfied with the repairs that fixed my rough idle and acceleration. These men know their way around old high mileage cars. I am very grateful of the work done. This place was worth the long journey I took to have them fix my car. A1!!! ------------------------------------------------ Update 10/13/2025 I regret coming to this shop. The main purpose for me traveling a distance coming to this shop for diagnostic and repairs is the expertise of old high mileage vehicles. It was imperative for me to get a full diagnostic of my engine before I consented to subsequent repairs . I emphasized that if my head gaskets, belts, or hoses were not up to par, then I was just going to retire this car because of the age and mileage of the car. I asked about the condition of my gasket, belts, and hoses and I was told that those items were fine and those items did not contribute to the vibration issues I was having. They knew I wanted my gasket, belts and hoses diagnosed because I was going to drive it far. Well after I paid for the vibration repairs, they told me car was fine I would not have issues with the gasket, belts, or hoses. I made sure to test the car myself before driving far in it. Well, after 2 weeks my engine overheated after the gasket blew the upper coolant hose and caused more damages that has now temporarily rendered my car useless. The diagnosis to my gaskets wasn't done like I requested which made me waste too much money for a car I am not safely able to drive. This is not good business ethics. They are not returning my messages. I do not recommend this establishment. ------------------------------------------------ Update 10/20/2025 I finally received a call directly from the owner regarding my issue. He apologized and explained the reason for the delayed response which I full accept. I was told to get the car back there to be checked out. Damages from the blown gasket, busted hose, and towing is already setting me back. Being 2 hours away to have the car re-diagnosed and fixed is going to take an effort. I will update this review accordingly. For now, I'm adding back a star.... ------------------------------------------------ Update 10/24/2025 After paying for wiring, hose, and a temporary gasket fix I was fortunately able to drive my car with this damaged engine all the way back to South Western Motors. I handed the key over directly to the owner. I am waiting for an update on the repairs... ------------------------- Update 11/05/2025 The owner has made a great effort to get my car issues resolved. I picked up my car and drove it two hours. My car didn't overheat which is a good sign for the moment. I am down to an intake air temperature sensor and a massive air flow sensor issue. They replaced more parts while not charging me for the labor which is greatly appreciated since I absorbed too much already to get my car back running. Back to my optimism with this establishment. A star is well worth being restored for the time being...Thanks ------------------------------------ Update: 03/03/2026 I am satisfied how the last repairs have been holding up. I haven't driven the car much since the owner handled the last repairs, and I am still driving this old car around with the intake and air flow sensors throwing codes. I am adding that original 5 star rating back because the work done is finally holding up as I initially expected. I need to make my way back to the shop to get the massive airflow sensor cleaned and another diagnostic done just in case. I really appreciate the excellent work!!
