I've been going to Star Hyundai Service and Parts for many years now . Customer service great and auto repair speedy!! I know that customer waiting room better than before. But Most customers will be compare with Hyundai Service and Parts and others(Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes-Benz service center). Think about it. How Hyundai will develop!!!!

Busy auto shop for Hyundai cars. Can take a while since they're so busy but they do try their best. Whoever works on your car is not professional; ruined the leather on my driverside seat, stained something I can't get off the leather part of my dash, and smudged stuff along the inside of the driver side door.

Service was fine, car was cleaned for free as well but there were issues. they rotated my tires when I explicitly told them not to. I only asked for an oil change. You don't go in for a filter replacement and then get maintenance on your engine, very very poor listening skills. The second knock was they took way longer than scheduled for this routine maintenance.

Awful work, terrible service. Came in for a servicing and they lost my key. They failed to reprogram it properly 3 times, and had me come in for a new appointment each time. Was basically accused of losing the key and for other issues that arose as a result of their work. Countless hours and wasted gas spent for an issue that could’ve been avoided, had the service center been more organized. Will not be returning again, and I would not recommend anyone to either, unless they’re looking to waste their own time.

I made an appointment for a stinking oil change. They lost or likely purposely lose my appointment. Just before they worked on it, I asked how much & was quoted $79 for it. The official rate on the website is $35. The joker was pulling a fast one. So, I just got my car back. The waiting room is a dirty, dingy, cramped, and without any usual amenities. Avoid this place.

I recently moved to the area and was ambivalent as i’m sure we all know most to dos regarding our cars are nothing short of a headache. I was so pleasantly surprised at how quickly & painlessly Star service resolved a long standing car issue for me. Jessica was my associate and is absolutely lovely. Sending thank yous to everyone on the staff for their daily hard work!

I dropped my car off for maintenance and was disappointed with the overall service. After waiting several hours, I had to call to check if my car was done, and was told, 'We will call you back.' No one ever did. When I called again 20 minutes before closing, no one picked up so I had to run there to see what was going on. The front desk then proceeds to tell me it wasn't their job to call the customer when the service is done and that it’s the associate’s responsibility. I tried explaining that no one had contacted me, but they claimed their phone lines were down, despite never mentioning this earlier. Instead of addressing the issue, the front desk staff seemed dismissive and disrespectful. If communicating with customers isn’t their job, then what is? Poor service and terrible communication.

I've been coming here since I got my car. Recently this place became a hell hole. Customer service is poor. The GM immediately gave me an attitude. My car has been in and out the shop since December. It's like anything they touch causes another problem. I wish I could give this place negative stars. Update: I am the original owner. My cars engine was replaced prior to the engine recall in April 2021. They blamed me and claimed water damage yet there was no flood lines or anything. I had to spend a lot of money replacing the engine. I go to pay for it and my VIN is a VIN recalled. Since they claimed water damage and claimed to have already sent my damaged engine out they could not inspect it for the engine recall. Since then its been back and forth with numerous other engine issues. Warranty covered a replacement of my original catalytic converter. Warranty had to replace it again since it was under a year it failed on me and blocked up my exhaust and caused my car to stall on the highway which is extremely dangerous. My engines cylinder 1 had to also be redone on a new engine within the first year. Recent service I had done, on paper it states they did a more recent recall inspection. Hyundai recalls website says otherwise. There is many other issues I could list. It is now July 2023 and my cars check engine light started flashing continuously and went into limp mode causing the car to lose power and only go up to 50mph. I was on the highway again when this happened. July 4th car towed in at night for the above issue. Car looked at on 3 days later. Stated it was a faulty knock sensor. Car will be ready by Monday. I picked up the car and drove 3 blocks to have the same blinking check engine light come on and brought it right back. Updates will provided on this issue. Hyundai should refund me for my engine replacement as well as buy back this EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE vehicle they've made and worked on and yet they can't fix it correctly. They stated they don't have the tools after holding my car for weeks. Left with the car and parked it nearby until it can be towed to another dealership. The blinking engine light code has to do with the knock sensor and the Hyundai engine recall. The photo is dated after they said I needed to go somewhere else. P1326 is the knock sensor. The knock sensor was replaced and it came back on driving not even 2 blocks. This place doesn't care about federal recalls or guidelines issued by the NHTSA. This service center ignoring to fix recalls according to guidelines issues by NHTSA is this service center ignoring the safety of its customers.

Jessica Santana took really good care of my Elantra 2022 that needed a back-up camera replacement due to a recall. She gave me a realistic timeline and they got it completed even sooner. Very professional and execution was great. I was on a real time crunch because I had spent 4+ hours at another dealer last week. Star Hyundai Service did the job! Go here folks!

In a day and age where everything is digital first, I feel like the human touch and customer service is a lost art… but not the case with Star Hyundai! On Dec 23rd, I found my car’s driver wipers were stuck and we had to drive that evening back to Boston with the kids. Scrambling, I called Star Hyundai and almost immediately spoke to the service mgr, who told me to bring it in. No appointment. No promises. But willing to help. A quick two hours later, the car was fixed and I was able to get the family on the road! Christmas came early! I am super grateful for their service and willingness to help.

10am appointment for oil change. At 1 pm it had not been started. I left without it being completed. Appointment time means nothing.

Had my side mirror replaced (through warranty) earlier which was faulty or installed wrong. I was then told to pay 500 or so to fix it. So now im stuck with a mirror that go left when trying to go right and vice versa. Ed (the manager) said "but it works right?.. you just have to think about it when you use it". Came in with an a.c problem (settings and fan making noise) that wasn't fully investigated by the mechanic which resulted in coming back 3 times and spending over 5 hours of waiting time. The resistor was replaced which fixed the settings but the noise issue was still there. I was told by ed (manager) that I never mentioned the noise meanwhile my receipt clearly states "loud noise on setting 4". Came to pick up my car. As I was walking i noticed my car outside in the RAIN with my windows open. I made a complaint about it and the mechanic lied and said he was in the car. In the car while I closed my own windows before complaining Very unprofessional. 6 year customer gone

Jessica was very friendly, and professional. I went there because my engine light came on, come to find out my car had a few recalls, so she told me one of the recalls was the reason for the engine light coming on, so I didn’t have to pay anything, well guess what? I was wrong, they kept my car overnight and the light just came back on, that’s why they didn’t charge me anything because they didn’t do anything. After having the car for 24 hours, nothing was done.

Arrived 5 minutes prior to my confirmed appointment for my first service. Over 2 hours later I am still here and my brand new car is illegally double parked in the middle of the street with buses and trucks squeezing by. No parking lot or safe places for cars. Never again. Appt. was for 8:40am. They took my car in for its first service at 10:57am. No one has any sense of urgency. Mechanic took a sit down/water break in the middle of my oil change. They should be ashamed of themselves. Do yourself a favor.....stay away. Places like this deserve to go out of business.

After having a horrendous experience with the service people at Koeppel Hyundai, It was a real pleasure to deal with the Star Hyundai service division. You can see my review of the Koeppel Hyundai on Google and on Yelp. The staff at Star Hyundai are true consummate professionals. Right from the beginning when I entered the service I was greeted by an older gentleman who directed me into the office waiting area. Shortly thereafter I was called into the actual service office where I deal with Jessica, she was a knowledgeable professional , and she explained exactly what the procedure would be and, the amount of time that I could expect to wait for my car and, what my options would be. I was in and out before I could finish my lunch. I wish for more interactions like this. I highly recommend this place as the manager Ed Thornton runs a tight ship. Keep up the good work.

If it’s up to me I will give them zero stars. I have the horrible service experience. My 2016 Senta Fe had an engine replaced recently from this place. When I went to pick up my car after the engine replacement my driver side mirror was damaged, My car had scratches all over and there was rear bumper damage. And this is not the first time this happened to my car. My car got hit 3 times in there dealership. The staff, service rep, manager is clueless. The dealership doesn’t provide with any loaner vehicle. I am paying for Uber and Lyft everyday to go to work and the dealership is not reimbursing me. It’s been more then 3 months I spend over $2000 in commute and they still have my car. After the engine replacement I didn’t get to test drive the car. The new manager is so unprofessional and he have no idea what’s going on at the dealership. Every time I ask him questions he tells me I will speak to my higher authorities and never gets back to me. When I saw the damages on my car The new manager refused to fix it and he started blaming all the damages on me then the service rep brought in the paperwork which showed when I dropped the car at there dealership it had no damages at all. When I asked the new manager to give me a copy of that document he said I will email you the copy by 5pm I called him back and he said I can’t give you a copy it’s legal document. After reviewing the paperwork he tells me that we will fix the car but the way he said it it sounded like he was doing a favor to me. The old manager was so nice and helpful I think his name was Peter. He always helped me with my concerns. I reported my concern to the Hyundai case manager and there dealership in Bayside. With this review I am attaching pictures of the damages that are caused at this service.

Went in for an oil change and multi-point inspection. $723 front brake job later, my tires are overinflated. Shouldn't a dealership repair know how to fill tires with air??!! I'm upset that now I have to take it to the tire shop to "repair" their mistake on my dime. Not cool Star Hyundai. Amazed at this amateur mistake.

Absolutely worst service... do not take your car here. I told them what happened to my car. I hit a bump in the road that did not have proper signage. All of a sudden because of that the airbag sign on the passenger seat is on and it signals that someone is in the passenger seat when there is not. I have video of it. They are reportedly saying that because the seat got wet somehow that is the reason why, that is not the case what so ever. This sign/alert on my car did not come on until I hit that bump. They said they have no way of knowing that, why in the world would I make up a story? What does the airbag sign have to do with the seat? Unless the car felt enough shock to feel under deress to have the airbag sign deploy or go off . . That could not possibly come from a so called wet seat. . So you are saying because I may have spilled something in my car that is the reason for an airbag safety sign to all of a sudden come on? Get out of town. Then they say it is $250 for the diagnostic and that because the seat is wet it is not covered under the warranty. When I went to pay it was $272.19. Horrible communication. Say to someone it is $250 plus tax . . Nowhere on the signed contract does it states, the 250 does not include tax, they made it seem like a flat rate. There are no damages to my car. I also asked them to look at the daytime running light fuse and light because I recently replaced the light yet the alert is on. Although the light works at night and not as a daytime runner, could this be a fuse issue? They did not resolve this issue or speak to me about it, after reviewing the contract it says they found "aftermarket bulb installed causing the issue" . So that is your resolution? To blame something and not resolve the matter for the client? They wanted me to pay $700 in additional labor plus the $250, plus the amount for the part. What a scam.

To get an appointment to come in for service while you wait, plan at least 4 to 6 plus weeks ahead to find availability, not good on top of service advisors turnover. Came here in mid July and this past week for routine oil change, rotate tires as I brought 2019 Sonata from them, things are going downhill. Spent 4+ hours and this time 5+ hours for simple oil change & annual safety & emission inspections, was told it will be several hours ... More like half a day, next time, if I return - bring lunch or eat somewhere, get a doctor's appointment in Flushing and haircut done in between. Shop really that busy but nobody seemed to be on top of work flow & indifferent. Complimentary coffee is gone too & water cooler empty and no drinking cups. Sad and it's not good for repeat & loyal customers to feel they want to come again.

Okay, so first off, just avoid this place, seriously. Don't even bother with their warranty. They're not gonna honor it. I had this 5-year tire coverage with new tire replacements, right? And because of a tiny cut on the edge, my tire pressure kept dropping. So I went in, thinking they'd fix or replace it since I had coverage. They told me they didn't have the tire then and to come back at my next oil change. Two months later, same story: "next oil change." Three more months, still "next oil change time." After a whole nine months, they finally tell me my tire is "wear and tear" and not covered. What the heck?! They kept putting me off, and now they're saying it's wear and tear and not under the terms. When I told them what happened, they just said, "Oh, that was a different person, she doesn't work here anymore, so your story doesn't count." And then they want me to buy a new tire from them, each one over $300 plus labor. Are you kidding me? I just went to Costco, got four tires for $800 same one., and that included free rotation and a 5-year warranty. Now, if I have a tire problem, they just swap it out, no questions asked, because it's under warranty. I would also like to bring to your attention an individual who has demonstrated a lack of professionalism and a disinclination to address issues, further exacerbated by their apparent disregard for situations created by their colleagues. Oil change takes forever. .
