This wasn’t my first service appointment at Steve White, but it certainly was the worst (I purchased my vehicle here). First, I had a pre-scheduled appointment for an oil change at 10:00AM. I dropped my vehicle off at 9:45AM. It is 7:02PM right now and I am just picking it up. After not hearing all day, I called at 5:15PM to be informed by Alex that my service hadn’t been started yet. At 6:45PM with no phone call I decided to make my way to the building. I guess my vehicle was ready, although neither Alex nor anyone else called me to notify me. After waiting 9 hours for my vehicle I was informed that my total was $377. Now, when I dropped my car off for an oil change this morning, Ben asked me if I wanted a tire rotation and brake fluid change. He said it was standard for 75,000 miles so I said sure. He did not inform me of any pricing. He took my keys and sent me on my way. If I had been informed that my total was going to be near $400 I would have declined. *edit* Now that I’ve driven away from the building, my vehicle states that it detects tire pressure loss. An overall terrible service experience. I would appreciate a phone call from management. Top to bottom ridiculous today. Do better.

Was heading out of town and wanted to get my engine coolant flushed. Spoke with Tyler that morning who worked me in. I was kept posted on progress on service until the car was ready. Staff was courteous as always. Would recommend Steve White for all regular maintenance.

The service department at Steve White VW always leaves me stressed out and with a headache. I recently brought my car in for an oil change. Even with an appointment first thing in the morning, it took them hours to complete the service. I have always had this experience of waiting hours when bringing my car to them for services. When they called to say it was finished, they also informed us that my car needed new tires after replacing my tires 30,000 miles ago. The tires on my car were purchased from them upon their recommendation that they were excellent, long lasting tires. When I expressed my concern that tires should last significantly longer than 30k miles and that I have never had to replace my tires so soon, their staff implied that it was because I was a bad driver. I’d recommend taking your car some place else.

I see why three of the most recent reviews are 1 star for the service center. This service center and dealership have been nothing but a headache to deal with. Every time you step foot in the building you feel as if you are getting ripped off. They will recommend a specific tire to you, charge you over 1k for a set of 4, then tell you they need to be replaced in 30k miles and pretend this is normal. You have to make a fuss to get anything that’s under warranty or should be under warranty fixed (they love fine print over here). Oil changes will take over 2-3 hours if you’re lucky, usually much longer. I will no longer be using this service center or purchasing any more cars from Steve White and I suggest you do the same.

My car was taken in for one issue, as well as taking care of a recall. The service department over tightened something while finishing the original issue, meaning after I waited for an hour after leaving my car there all day, I was sent home in a rental car. After picking my car up, it was leaking fuel. Turns out, something was missed when addressing the recall, so my car had to be towed and I was put in another rental car, after having to be very firm that they should bring me the rental car at my place of employment. I lost hours in the back and forth picking up and dropping off cars, as well as time spent on the phone. What was most frustrating was the very casual tone the service coordinator took with me. I spent over $800 on my original repair and absolutely no refund was offered after both of their mistakes were made. I was made to feel like I was supposed to thank them for filling my car with the fuel it leaked due to their error. I would not recommend anyone with a VW use this location !

Having bought our Atlas in Charlotte last year, this was my first experience with Steve White VW, and it was great. My service Manager, Clay, explained what would be covered in the first oil change as well as clearing an engine light caused by bad gas. He was very professional, knowledgeable and prompt. The lobby and bathroom was clean, access to Internet was easy, and accommodations for working were good. They had complimentary coffee, too. I will take our Atlas here again for service.

Diagnostic work to find the issue was great! Recommended repair & additional service work were reviewed with me. The repairs & service work were completed within a reasonable time frame. The Service Rep was extremely courteous & professional. I do think the overall cost for the front wheel speed sensor was way over the top! Usually I’m not one to write reviews but, I have to talk about this! This was my first time having any service done on my Volkswagen and I was pretty nervous about it. My initial appointment set up was over the phone with Neal in parts who was very helpful and very personable! He got me on schedule the next day. In the service department, I worked with Alex who made the entire process very easy, especially with keeping in contact throughout the process and being transparent on the issues! He was able to get my car in, diagnosed, fixed up, and ready to be picked up within the day. All the staff at this dealership was extremely welcoming and made my experience an absolute breeze from the first phone call, all the way to the pickup process. I highly recommend this establishment for any of your Volkswagen needs! If I have anymore issues, I’ll definitely be back!

Came in today for a service. Was told it would take one hour on the phone. I ended up waiting 3 hours in the lobby missing work. My service rep Clay way great and no complaints there. They told me at end the car was washed after it was done which obviously was not the case. Frustrating experience.

I had a great first experience at Steve White VW. I came in for a check engine light and was met at the door by Tyler. He was very attentive and communicative for my whole repair checking in periodically to update me with the progress of my vehicle. The techs in the back got my work done fast. A few hours later and no more light on my dash. Clean lobby, friendly and transparent staff and lots of great cars to look at. I normally dont leave reviews but this dealership just did it right. When i need additional service or my next trade in, i look forward to revisiting Steve White.

Yesterday I brought my 2024 VW Tiguan in for its 20k service, inspection and follow-up. My Service Advisor was Ben S, and he was amazing: polite, professional, transparent and even had a good sense of humor! I was very impressed with my experience from A to Z. I received a video from the tech (Morris) showing me my vehicle’s summary, about 1 minute long, and explaining all they had done. He was great and spoke clearly in the 1-minute video summary. I even received a follow-up from the manager, Steve W., to ensure I was satisfied with the experience. I was! I have owned VWs for over 30 years and am still driving my 2002 Golf which I bought new. In the past, I have been too frugal at times to take my car to a dealership but this experience has proven to me that sometimes you get what you pay for and my experience for exceeded my expectations. I WILL BE BACK. Highly recommended! Thank you, Ben and team for a great seamless and painless experience.
