I went to Mountain View Tire to get my headlights fixed! The mechanics told me that they would not be able to fix it. They recommended me to another mechanic who told me it would be $800 to repair. I said screw that I’m going somewhere else! Took my truck to Stonecrest Auto repair and they fixed my entire light system for half the price. Thank you J.B and the entire team you guys are the best!!! I will definitely be back

I drive a high-mileage vehicle (~280k miles) and am doing what I can to keep it on the road as long as possible. The front suspension was completely worn out as it was still original parts. Last week, I started to feel some play in the wheel and knew it was time to get it checked out. Sam and the team diagnosed the issue(s) and relayed them in a clear and honest way. He even asked if I was sure I wanted to repair the vehicle, knowing how little it was worth (which I greatly appreciated). After assuring him I wanted to proceed with the repair, he kept in constant contact as the job progressed and went above and beyond to save money on parts and labor. The Trailblazer is now back on the road, driving as well as the day I got it. I highly recommend this shop for your auto repair needs.

Consider this as a testimony instead of just a review 🙏. We just wanted to take the time to say thank you to each and every one at Stonecrest Auto Repair & Tires especially JB, I still can't believe we got so lucky to find the honest professional mechanics, everyone please go and check them out , these people are extremely professional and knowledgeable. So our car broke down at Taco Bell parking on Friday night and we end up leaving it at the parking lot for two days since all auto services were close on weekends, today or Monday we approached these guys for help and they were ready to squeeze us on their busy schedule and explained about next steps , meanwhile we grabbed our brunch at a good Mexican place inside a gas station right next to this repair shop which was again a plus while you wait you can enjoy some nice winds , food and if coffee is your jam then Starbucks is right across the street . Not gonna lie but we were extremely anxious too thinking about service fee etc since we both dint have much idea about auto parts or related services so it was easier for any dishonest mechanic billing us for things which might not even have existed . In past we always used the same places for years so we knew people and could trust until we moved , here we asked some of our acquaintances for suggestion but instead of any solid recommendation , all we heard was is ton of scary stories like how people get ripped off , so we were just left with only few option like just tow the car to any repair shops near where we live and try our luck , but to my surprised these guys not only helped save us on possible tow fee but they even gave us most HONEST diagnostic information ever. They were very sincere and took their time in running diagnostics and gave us green light saying everything was fine with the car , it was just some minor thing which they fixed it right away and we both were so shocked we left with running car with zero service fee . I would definitely consider them for future services and would suggest them to anyone and everyone who are not only looking for a good mechanic but a honest one . Thank you so much again .

Stonecrest is awesome! They were super helpful and transparent texting pictures to show me the issues as they were working on my car. There were a few extra things my car needed done, and I appreciated how transparent they were about what was actually needed and what could wait. Highly recommend!

This Business should be shut down... They lied and told me i needed a new power steering pump for my lexus and quoted me $1100.00 I took the car to Brians in Escondido and it was the high power hose causing the fluid to leak...+ Brians only cost $400. and they didnt try to make more money off me like Stonecrest did...What really pisses me off is i delayed the repair a long time cause i could'nt afford $1100.00. I was taking the bus because I believed it could be evan more to replace the power steering pump and also hoses and tax etc etc. I didnt want to give them evan 1 star on this review !

I am convinced that I was able to meet Jay by divine intervention! I was on my way home from work when my car started showing signs of transmission failure. I started thinking of a safe way to exit the freeway and park the car in a safe place to wait for a tow truck. I was able to limp up the offramp and make it across the intersection so I could coast down to the PetSmart parking lot, until I saw Stonecrest Auto Repair! I didn't know what to expect going into a "gas station mechanic", but I met Jay and he was very kind and knowledgeable. He told me that the master mechanic had already left for the day, but I could leave the car there until they were able to diagnose what was going on. Jay called me the next day and told me the bad news. But he also told me that he had looked into repair costs and he was also trying to get information about my transmission warranty. This kind of customer care is what I really appreciate! I never even thought about a warranty! I was going through a lot of stuff that week, and the tranny didn't make anything better. But Jay's attitude and excellent customer service skills kept me calm and focused. I've always been afraid of taking my car to a "gas station mechanic" because I felt like they might over charge me for a band-aid that didn't heal the wound. But now, my faith in human kind has been renewed, and I will be happy to recommend Stonecrest Auto Repair, and comfortable going in for any auto needs.

Avoid this shop if you value your car and your money. I never leave review for car service in my life but this one is so bad that it hard to let go. (In short they took from me 1100$ didn’t make my car drive normally even for 3 miles, refused to admit they made a mistake, refused to give me a partial refund). My engine started knocking, so I went to this shop because it was closest to my house. The man in charge regardless I didn’t ask his name but he almost (always wearing glasses and a cap) told me to leave the car for diagnostics. Four hours later, he sent me a document (I’ll attach the messages and papers to this review) saying my engine cylinders needed to be replaced. Total cost with diagnostics: $1,080. I asked him directly if this repair would truly fix the issue. He replied: “Yes, 100%.” He even promised a one-year warranty. I was so relieved and grateful that I immediately agreed — and even asked him to change the oil as well. The total cost came out to about $1,200. A few hours later, he messaged me that the car was ready. I paid, thanks and left happy. That happiness lasted only three miles. I suddenly heard the same knock again. I pulled over at a 7-Eleven, trying to convince myself I imagined it. But when I restarted the engine, the knocking was worse than before. I messaged him right away. He told me to bring it back. I returned the car and walked home on foot. A mile later on my way to home, he texted me a picture, saying he had already driven my car 20 miles and it was “working fine.” I went back and told him it was very strange, because I had 100% heard the knocking. But since he insisted the car was good, and gave me back my keys with confidence, I still took it — hoping maybe it was just a rare coincidence or something, and as he insisted that my car is good I took it. Unfortunately, only seven miles later the engine was knocking louder than ever. I texted him again, and his only reply was: “Tomorrow.” When I finally made it home, I opened the hood and saw that almost all my coolant had disappeared. I sent him a photo and asked where it went. His response? “It’s normal.” Imagine losing nearly all your coolant in a single day and the mechanic says it’s normal. At that point, I messaged another mechanic and explained everything. He told me the truth: if the engine is knocking and nearly all the coolant is gone, it means the coolant has leaked into the engine — and at that stage, it’s cheaper to replace the engine than to repair it. After that, I texted the mechanic from this shop, explained what the other professional had told me, and said I would take my car to another service. I also asked him for a partial refund. His reply wasn’t an explanation, apology, or even excuse — just: “No, sir 🙅🏻‍♂️.” When I reminded about the one-year guarantee he had promised, he simply ignored me and never responded again. So in the end, this shop left me with nothing but a bill for $1,200 and a ruined car. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

I’ve been going to stone crest for over 2 years with two different cars and have always had great experiences here. Their prices are fair, the mechanics are honest, and their work is always top notch. They are always friendly and quick. Time and price estimates are always accurate and I feel very well taken care of when I am here. Especially as a woman it can be hard to find a reliable mechanic and not feel like I’m getting taken advantage of - I’m so thankful I’ve found stone crest ! I’ve gotten everything from a quick oil change, to tire replacements, to major repair work.. they do it all. Loyal customer for life and I recommend all my friends and family to come here.
