Head mechanic does not take responsibility for the work he does when he messes up. Had the audacity to tell me that he was going to charge me a storage fee because the parts he ordered for my car where the wrong parts and it was going to take another day to receive the correct parts. Blamed me for the mistake and then denied to work on my car because I demanded to have the owners contact information. He refused to help me because I wanted to place a complaint. He literally had his other mechanic pull my car out to the street and said "get out of here". This shop does not have respect for their customers. Extremely disappointed because a friend referred me here. Nor I or my friend will EVER go to this place again.

When I moved to San Diego in 2005 I needed routine maintenance on my Honda. My son said Lu at A&B was the only guy allowed to work on his 67 Mustang. So I went to them. Great place to bring your parts and uncle (that’s what I call the mechanic) will put it on. Auntie (the mechanic wife) is the service advisor. She is honest and gives it to you like it is. No sugar coating. Honest work and great family business. I continue to go there.

Went to this place for a brake and light inspection. Drove the vehicle returned and failed tech did nothing said lights don't work. Proceeds to put tape to mark that damaged the lenses on the car. Also said that rear rotors were below specifications with out even using a tool to measure them. After the inspection I asked for pricing to repair and was told that they can't! Horrible excuse for a repair shop when your only inspecting lights and brakes.....So I returned to repair shop after fixing the items specified on the work order. And was meet with nothing short of a really bad taste. When you pay for the inspection the re test is $10 plus the $7 certification fee. I was told they won't inspect the car because the receipt they gave me didn't specify what needed to be fixed and I would need to pay $55 if I wanted to do so. I was shocked Lady in office then took my keys and dropped them on the counter and said go find the paperwork. I said no thanks and advised her that I would definitely write a review about my encounter. She tells the tech he walks out and immediately starts taking photos of my car I asked why he just mumbled and walked away. SHADY!

I've been getting my cars serviced there for many years. I got work done through my dealers mechanic under warranty and when my car broke down again I took it here. They showed me some of the parts and said they looked old or used. I didn't have the same issues & had the dealer pay for the RIGHT repairs. They've always been honest & nice, Plus prices are fair. Every time I get work done here I'm satisfied compared to when I go to other places in the neighborhood.

Known the owners for almost 20 years and have taken my cars to them ever since. Honest mechanics and will try to save their clients money like buying aftermarket or junkyard parts. Also they do not upsell on additional services or at least give you the option to decide now or later.

Visited today to get an oil change and my brakes looked at. Wasn't expecting it all to get done as we just drove in...no appointment. Was hoping at most we would come back another day and get our brakes done. Lovely woman helping us out took us in, said she could get our brakes changed as well as our oil change and even said we could expect to pick it up in 3 hours. Brakes feel great. Really great price. Will be coming back. Thank you for your great service.

I came here for my Brake and Light Certificate. I called my trusted local mechanic and asked him for a recommendation to get the certificate. He quickly told me about A&B Auto Repair. Never been here before. I called in and talked to a nice lady on the phone. She told me I could just show up without an appointment. She took care of my vehicle and the inspection. Legitimate shop. My vehicle is basically brand new so passed without an issue. I would come here again, I already added this shop to my list of approved providers.
