Should have looked at the 1* reviews before going here. I paid for new spark plugs, fuel induction cleaning for engine, and fluid replacements on vehicle. Also for a new turbo bypass valve installed which they said they knew how to do. They did not install the bypass valve at all, and charged me $600 for the service. They kept my self-provided part and didn't call me to tell me that it wasn't installed. It took me 2 weeks after I went under the car to open up the bottom panels and check myself, that I found out it wasn't installed. After calling them, they claimed that they had forgotten to call me back and "were about to call me back the same day". They refunded me the $600 and gave me back the part, but LOL! WHAT A JOKE. And this isn't even the full story. After that, my engine started knocking and my check engine light went on. The car was undriveable at this point, so I had it towed to a different shop that specializes in Subarus in Oceanside. They did an inspection and turns out the spark plugs weren't installed correctly, and they used the wrong kind! So not only did they attempt to scam me by not performing any service and keeping my part that I self-provided, but they messed up my car even worse than when I brought it in. Go somewhere else unless you just need an oil change, and to be honest I wouldn't trust them doing even that.

Review: I took my car to this shop for an oil leak, and while they identified the issue and scheduled the repair, the overall experience was frustrating. They failed to keep me updated on the delivery of the ordered part, and I had to chase them for information over several days. Since the shop is closed on weekends, I had to bring my car back and forth, adding unnecessary hassle. After the repair was finally completed, I discovered deep scratches on the side of my car and dirty smudge prints left by the mechanic. The shop attempted to fix the scratches, but after keeping my car for two more days, they told me the damage required a generals manager’s approval to be fixed further. Despite my repeated calls, I never heard back. The service was not cheap, yet my car was returned in worse cosmetic condition than when I dropped it off. Brandon was the shop manager at the time, but the lack of follow-through and accountability was disappointing. I will not be returning and would not recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable and professional service. The oil leak was fixed though so I give them 2 stars

I've been a customer for couple of years at West Miramar Automotive & Transmission. Today I went for an oil change at 7:39 am. Came back to get my car at 1:12pm. Paid $112 for a Synthetic Oil Change. Last time I went there for a Synthetic oil Change was $100. My concern was the Cabin Air Filter which they inspected and removed. Luckily, I went to Autozone to replace my cabin air filter. I found out that the old air filter was never put back! Not sure how they missed to put the cabin air filter back on which they have several hour's to change oil and inspect the vehicle. Picture below is where they sent me an update for my car. The photo above shows an empty air filter when I opened the Glove Box. Unprofessional work and expensive prices, can't justify this by any means.This is my last time going to West Miramar Automotive and Transmission.

Wonderful experience! Brought my 1995 Nissan 240sx to West Miramar Automotive for repairs and smog diagnostics, and they took the utmost care and service for my vehicle! Tremendous help and superb customer service experience! They were extremely kind and friendly, and kept me updated and informed throughout the entire experience. They truly made me and my car feel special and taken care of, and I never doubted that my project was in the best of hands. I sincerely appreciate and greatly admire the work they do, and the uniquely pleasant customer experience really made the process worthwhile. They made all the necessary repairs, and continued the smog certification. My car is now fully registered, inspected, and fully legal to drive on CA roads. I can't thank them enough! 12/10, truly amazing business! Thank you!

I had a great experience at West Miramar Automotive getting my brakes, rotors, and calipers replaced. The technician clearly explained why my brakes felt spongy—turns out the calipers were busted and leaking brake fluid. He also showed me the condition of the rotors and pads, which helped me fully understand the issue. At the front desk, Brian (or maybe Brandon…my apologies) and a young lady were incredibly helpful and genuinely concerned for my safety. I didn’t want to leave my truck overnight, but they strongly advised against driving it until the repairs could be done properly. That showed me they really care about their customers and don’t believe in rushing quality work. They made sure I was informed every step of the way. By the next day, my truck was fixed. I truly appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and care. Thanks again for getting my truck safely back on the road! I’ll be back again for the tie rod, ball joints, and possibly the speed sensor/gov.solenoid lol

Damaged the back of my seat doing a seat belt repair under warranty. Had to come back to repair and now I have to sit on location wait scheduled 2.5 hours for the repair. After a bunch of complaints I was given a loaner car The overall sense is that it’s not big deal to sit in the middle of industrial Kearney Mesa. They offer no credit to run to the store no loaner car. Just sit and wait like my time is worth nothing.

Don’t use their online system or text the phone number they say can receive texts. Only call, and call multiple times to confirm your appointment. They have a pretty terrible system for booking and rescheduling appointments. I booked a smog test through their website for 7am a few days in advance. The day prior to the appointment, I needed to reschedule it. I texted the phone number they provided to reschedule the appointment. I didn’t hear back from them, so I adjusted my schedule and made it to the appointment. When I got there, they said their smog technician doesn’t come in until 8am and their online system hasn’t been adjusted to schedule appointments only when the technician is available.

I recently had my car serviced by West Miramar Automotive & Transmission which my friend recommended after he had his Lexus serviced there. The experience was outstanding from start to finish. From the moment I dropped my car off with Miranda I knew I was in good hands. She was very courteous and professional. I was then given a ride by Joshua their driver. He was a superb driver and I felt safe my entire ride. Brandon called after the vehicle 40 point inspection. He walked me through exactly what needed attention, explained what was essential vs. optional, and gave me a realistic cost and timeframe for the work. The mechanics were clearly experts, everything they did was precise. They used quality parts and their tools looked up‑to‑date. When my car was finished, they sent Joshua to pick me up and again my ride was outstanding. My car was clean, fluids topped off, tires properly inflated, interior tidy, and all the warning lights were gone. I felt the pricing was fair, transparent, and what they quoted is what I paid. Miranda was fast and efficient when I checked out. I highly recommend West Miramar Automotive & Transmission to anyone who wants honest, professional, and fully‑reliable service. Although my issue turned out to be minor, they got to it as soon as they could and I ended up being able to pick up my car the same day.
