One of the hardest things about moving to a new town is finding a new dentist/doctor, hairdresser and auto mechanic. (Not necessarily in that order.). Stroh’s was a recommendation from a friend and we are glad we tried them out. Not gonna lie…it’s really hard to find a cheap(er) auto mechanic in Gig Harbor. Everyone seems more pricey than our old one whose shop was basically in a rundown strip mall. But what we like about Stroh’s is: They are honest…don’t feel like they try to upsell any parts or services They are thorough in their inspections and work and explanations for services They are prompt in providing written quotes for larger services/repair And they are just very nice guys! Everyone who we’ve worked with there are just super friendly

Great experiences with Stroh’s. They ran into complications with my front brake service and provided clear and honest explanations directly from the mechanic. And they did their best to keep the cost reasonable despite some broken wheel hub studs. Brakes performed perfectly afterwards, even when I had to hit the brakes hard with full ABS to avoid a young deer running into my path on the road near my home. Whew!

They got me in within a few days, worked out great. I got a call within a few hours of them opening, explaining what they found and how they remedied the problem, with some suggestions. Did a vehicle inspection and gave me a few things to keep an eye on. All the people that I met at the Gig Harbor location were very helpful. I will definitely be going back.

As always a great job, my F-350 truck was repaired, and they got it back to me in a very short time for the work that was needed. Scott and Eric are super easy to work with they always stand by their service. They save the damaged parts and explain the repair in terms people can understand.

Pricing is confusing at best, but more likely deceptive. No written estimate, no indication of price for diagnosis, and would not even tell me their hourly rate for labor. The full written receipt does not disclose their rates or how much time was actually spent on the car. As a result, what should have been a $200 job ended up being almost $500 for who knows why. Like they picked that number out of the sky. They were not even able to fix the problem. Not trustworthy.

I was told by Honda dealership I needed $7k worth of repairs that were urgent. After getting a referral to here from my boss I was amazed at their thoroughness and honesty. Scott walked me through every step he wanted to take and have the why. And was upfront on what could wait and what shouldn't wait for repairs. I told him my budget and expected the same conversation you get elsewhere...well sorry it's actually double that and you cannot wait .. however it came out under budget. So they are fair and honest. Definitely my new place to take any vehicle issues and maintenance.
