Went in for a steam cleaning and to have dye put in to pinpoint a major oil leak I was having. Without even performing this they popped the hood and immediately told me I needed a valve cover replacement which cost me $600, I went picked up vehicle after this service and got about a mile down the road before I started having engine problems and check engine light came on. Had to turn around to take it back and almost didn’t make it. Apparently a coil was damaged during service which caused engine to misfire. Thankfully they fixed it at no cost but after picking up my vehicle for the second time, I still have the same major leak that I originally went I for. They did tell me that I should still expect there to be “some” oil to leak because of other possible leaks but the amount of oil that has continued to leak from my car hasn’t changed since getting this done. They suggested that I bring it back in for another look but after all of his I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere. I don’t want to be charged again for something that doesn’t fix my problem. To sum it all up: The service they performed was completely unnecessary and now I’m out $600 and the same oil leak as I had before I even brought it in to Sun Devil Auto. The 4.9 rating seems a little fishy to me, I would not recommend.

(Many months ago) "Forgot" to replace cap after changing oil and overfilled (or didn't completely drain) transmission fluid when changing it. My transmission is increasingly struggling to switch gears properly. And luckily it's a Toyota but 3 days without a oil cap is not.... Ideal. Didn't want to make the oil cap mishap right until my first negative review was seen by a someone higher than the store manager (etc.) Do not want any type of compensation, decnet chance these people will just mess something else up. And a standard reply to cover up this honest experience will not help anything.

Tech are awesome, but as far as management not to fond of them. I rather have the ole managers back (Colton & Mike). The ole managers took care of their clients. New management needs working. Techs are awesome.

You will save plenty of hassle, time, and money going to another shop. There are plenty more to choose from in this area. Long story short, I made the unfortunate choice of having a vehicle towed here that ended up needing to be diagnosed and have a basic repair done. At first, they ended up recommending the wrong parts which caused a lot of confusion and great delay in getting this done. All my car needed was some new injectors and new spark plugs, but the shop tried to keep recommending work that didn’t need to be done and costed a huge amount more than any other shop in the area to do so. After calling them myself several times to get to the bottom of the confusion, we finally agreed upon a repair bill after having to negotiate it due to other quotes I received in the area. A job that should’ve taken a couple days ended up taking over a week.

I used to go to the location on 48th and Ray but the customer service there, was no where near, the quality I have with my guys in Chandler. The Chandler, AZ location of Sun Devil Auto treated me extremely well. Soon after hearing me describe my car's problem which I'd previously been led to believe required a week's time to acquire the parts for they examined the issue and promptly determined the repair was much simpler than previously indicated to me. No parts actually needed to be ordered. Within an hour the problem was resolved. They didn't even charge me a diagnostic fee. just the cost of the one part needed and of course their labor. I do highly recommend them.

First, let me state that this is partially our fault. My teenage son was leaving school and the car originally started (with difficulty) but then died a few minutes later and all of the warning lights came on. We had it towed to Sun Devil Auto via AAA. Long story short, since we didn't know if it was the battery or not, since all of the lights came on, we were charged a diagnostic fee - making the new battery cost $500 ($475.75 with the coupon I brought). I did try to negotiate the fee off of the bill without success. As well, they told us the wiper blades needed to be replaced. I had asked them to replace them when the car had an oil change there a few months ago. I have not looked to see if we were charged for a wiper blade replacement yet. I will update this review if we were charged and they weren't replaced. I don't think we will be back. Unfortunate. Who charges $500 for a battery replacement, whether or not you know for sure it is the battery?

I’m pretty upset with the upcharges here. My husbands car needed a repair. We paid $820 for something that took them two hours and with a part we could’ve gotten for $25 on Amazon. You can’t tell me that the labor was worth $795 for two hours worth of work. They also got caught in a flat out lie. They told him he needed to replace his air filters and it would cost him $200. He said no because they didn’t realize he had replaced them only three weeks ago. I used to trust this place but im going to look into other options. We are struggling and being ripped off and lied to isn’t right. Fair warning.

This is not my regular shop. Many years ago I was taken advantage of and now I don’t switch shops easily. But I have had two instances where I needed something on-the-spot, usually weekends or after hours, and this business offered quick, fair and affordable service. I had such a great experience at Sun Devil Auto this weekend! They got my truck’s AC running like new again, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The manager, Andy, was especially welcoming and truly treats you like family.
