T & A is one of the best mechanic shop in the area of newark . the guys there are honest , helpful , and very friendly .my cars are in tip top shape cause of this guys i recommend them to the fullest. . Im telling u if u take ur car there u will not be disappointed. This guy mario sounds like a guy that bring his own part and blame the mechanic for it not working . I went here 2 times to replace an alternator. Each time it was installed incorrectly and kept failing to charge my battery so my car would die. I took it to another place that fixed it correctly. It turns out they weren’t installing a piece that ensures the alternator belt correctly sits on the wheel so it would make a grinding noise and slip every now and again. That noise disappeared when it was installed correctly (like it was originally). I have a sneaking suspicion that he was doing it on purpose to resell my alternators. I was out close to $1,000 after purchasing 2 new alternators + service. Find somewhere else.

***WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO THIS SHOP.*** First, I personally went to this shop for roughly 1 year. I bought a car that had a few minor issues, 1 being a valve cover gasket leak. After this shop repaired this issue I took my car to a dealership and paid for a complete diagnostic. The report showed a few minor items that I was aware of. Within the next few months I continued to take my vehicle to this shop, oddly enough more and more parts were starting to malfunction after each visit. By end of summer and thousands of dollars later I started to noticed the pattern. I drove my car to my old mechanic whom inspected the repairs along with doing a few of his own to it. He noticed several issues and validated my assumption that this shop is SHADY and are NOT honest mechanics. Also, it's worth noting that I had brought another vehicle to this shop. A simple kit replacement that involved a water pump and its components. The second vehicle also came back with even more malfunctioning issues. Furthermore, I showed him an area he had broken, he went ahead and fixed the issue. Had I not had knowledge of working on vehicles I would've dished out several hundreds of dollars to fix what they did. After this I stopped going to them, along with them refusing to give me a proper receipt for the repairs. When I did get a receipt, the receipts were always unreadable. Most of the time I had to wait months before a proper/readable receipt was provided. You would think that now my vehicle would be running better than when I first got it. Especially after thousands of dollars being invested into this vehicle. However, that's far from the truth, my vehicle is still having issues. Some from the very beginning. I've had to do a lot of repairs on my own. Mostly to correct the issues this shop has caused to my vehicles. This does not include the normal wear and tear that the vehicle goes through. Anyone that reads this review, I hope you take this into consideration when selecting this dishonest mechanic shop. You may learn the way I did, under extreme expense and time.

I have been coming to this mechanic for over 5 years now. I have gotten my oil pan changed, alternator, starter, engine mounts, timing belt, fuel pump among other things and have gotten all my oil changes here as well. Have never had to bring my car anywhere else due to shotty work or re repair any repairs I’ve gotten done here. The owner Pito is great ! This place is trustworthy. Always gives the best price compared to other local mechanics in the area Pepboys Meinike etc...definitely recommend.

This place is the worst, dropped my bmw off Wednesday, they said everything was wrong with my car besides what the diagnostic told them. Then they didn’t even know how to fix the car, mechanic said it was an electrical problem. But the car electricity was on and it was trying to turn over. I got see about my car it’s outside on the street with the hood open, to where you just have to unlatch the latch. Anybody can steal stuff off my car becuase they left it open. Never bring your car here, they don’t know anything.

Had a great experience! Context - a rock hit and shattered my front window while driving and I needed a same day front window replacement. I called Antony and he was very flexible with my time ( was delayed due to towing issues). They had the exact window model I needed and they were able to get it fix withing 30mins-1hr. They even vacuumed the car for all the small glass shards that fell inside during the accident. They retaped all my inspection stickers, EZPass and camera I had on my window before. Would go again!
