The worse auto repair shop in Atlanta. Do not go. Brought my truck in for an assessment and recieved a $825 bill before any work was even done. I paid $125 "for an assessment" that wasn't the correct issues and my tire was flat when I picked my truck up and has not been holding air since. Basically I went to their shop and came out with problems.

I was very pleased with my experience at T Z automotive. I work a job where my hours are not always consistent with a 9-5, and this created a situation where my break pads became so worn out after putting off a replacement for them that it felt as though my car began to break down. T Z automotive repair was able to take my car in at the last minute, fix the repairs, gave me a fair price for the whole service and stayed late to finish the job on my car. I am very grateful for this experience with them.

The worst car repair experience I've ever had in my life. The wrong parts were placed on my car which caused more damage to my vehicle. Had to pay another shop to redo the work. I'm out of $1,300 dollars between the both of them. These guys weren't willing to compensate me at allllllllllll for their mistake. Stay away or you'll pay dearly. FYI Don't leave your car here over night it's likely to be slept in by one of their homeless employees.

Worst experience in my life. Went in to just get brake pads I brought put on and was told i had a bad bearing. Fine I was told it would take 30 min to hour. I arrived at 1130 am. They had to get a part and I was told it would be ready by 230. I come back and it's not. No one working and bald head guy at register said oh they almost done. I leave and call back at 420 same guy says we putting tires back on. I come back pay thinking their wrapping up. No take tire back off, car still up on jack no one working and he says oh it will have to be tomorrow by 12. He bald head guy keeps telling me oh I'm a little while. I have been here for 2 days. I had to miss work and they won't compensate my energy or time. This is absolutely the most unprofessional car shop business in the world. He is so unprofessional and they lie to you. They have a sign saying if your not satisfied let them know and they will make it rt. They dont. Wish I could give 0 stars but it won't let me. Absolutely horrible. Go anywhere else.

I called prior to coming and was quoted a price for a brake job which is normally pretty standard. Once I arrived, a unprofessional mechanic, which it seemed to be quite a few wandering around, took me inside, got on the phone with someone and started asking me details like what was my tag number? Long story short, he quoted me a price which was double the amount given originally. As a woman, it is important to do your research and weigh options, therefore I had other quotes so I told him that if the price given initially couldn’t be honored, I’d just have someone else provide the services. I thanked him for his time and began walking away. The mechanic stopped me with the “manager” on the speakerphone so that I could actually hear him and they agreed on the initial amount plus tax. Needless to say that once the work was completed, the manger quote a end price of double and insisted that he never said the things mentioned that he clearly heard while on the speakerphone. He and I negotiated a cost that was not pleasing but I just wanted to leave after waiting 5 hours. Very unprofessional individuals from management down. The shop was a mess! Women, do your research in fact, simply don’t go here!!!!

Went to TZ Auto in fall of 2023 (maybe November) for an oil change. My dad recently checked my oil, and said I was ripped off. They didn't actually change the oil because it was PITCH BLACK, and also used a non-standard filter. Charged me (a black woman) $60 for service they didn't even perform. "I've never seen oil that black in 40 years" - my father. HORRIBLE customer service. Do not take your car here.

Great experience. Last minute, I needed a used tire for my vehicle and they so happened to have it's size. Tire tread was in great condition and the installation and payment process was seamless. Unfortunately, after the install my vehicles steering wheel started shaking. It took a while to get back to these guys but the issue was resolved free of charge and with no fuss. Thanks a lot guys, great customer service!! I will return.

I came to get a new tire . They quickly replaced my bad tire , I paid them went about my business . Before I could get home my tire was already flat . I called the shop back and explained what happened . Within 1 hr they came to my house and replaced the tire . I appreciate them so much for that and made it quick !!

My personal customer service moto is “Get it done right, on time, the first time” No matter the type of business. Leave your car if you can. Average wait time is 3-5 hrs even with an appointment unless it’s something simple like a flat tire. If you have to come back twice for the same unresolved issue then previous service charges should be deducted from current one (which is usually 3x more). Is it diagnostics systems fault or shady management? We know some things can have multiple issues but isn’t that what expensive diagnostics are for? A $40 part you can buy yourself yet pay hundreds in labor and diagnostic fees which may or may not solve the problem. And they wonder why we don’t trust them. Standard labor costs can be hundreds of dollars even though the cost of item may be only 30-$50 bucks. It might take them an hour to fix but “the book” may say it takes five hours therefore they can rightfully charge you five hours for an hour job. Make sense? It’s like their bible and they will maximize it to the dollar and some even more. They’re not the best or worse but not the most fair either. Call around first, describe your situation because some will tell you what it “sounds” like and some will just tell you “bring it in” to have a look at it. Some are justified, some are not. Some mechanics are honest enough to ask to check if your fuel gauge is on “E” (for example) if your car stopped for no reason. They may laff with you but at least they won’t have you tow it in so they can “take a look at it”. lol We’re not all that stupid but you get my point. Keep rating them till they up their game. And keep learning your car to do as much as possible yourself…👍🏽 UPDATE: My first visit with TZ was because my wipers stopped working several months ago (frequent rain at the time). They replaced the wiper motor and I was pleased. I had them replace the wiper blades too but wasn’t happy how they didn’t lay flush but they adjusted the wipers to go all the way down (out of sight). My second visit was a month ago to add refrigerant to A/C cuz it was blowing hot air. I bought the refrigerant and they put it in for reasonable price. The Manager also said a belt was needed to be replaced and diagnostic. Fine, I was due to have belts checked anyway and it’s not something to take lightly. Do it! I said. Anyway, the AC worked a couple times after that visit (temps reached the eighties a few times) and it began blowing hot air again after a couple uses. And he did tell me to let him know if there’s any problems. I asked to bring it in again and bought more refrigerant to make sure it wasn’t a leak (advice from another mechanic). He said it wasn’t a leak because he used diagnostic, flushed it out (the stuff I previously bought) in order to do the diagnostic but replaced it. He didn’t use the refrigerant I brought last week. Instead, he insisted it wasn’t the problem and that it was an AC control switch problem or something, wasting three hours of my time working on an estimate for approx $700 to fix it. Three hours! I had an appointment and work 2nd. With no work or additional diagnostics being done, he’s just sitting behind the counter on phone or computer saying “I’m working on it”. I’m like, where? From behind the counter? He eventually (3 hrs later) texted me the problem and estimate while I was on site.WHILE I was on site! The previous visit lasted 5 hours and I had to tell my employer I’m gonna be late (used sick time). Saturday, I took my car to another mechanic, told him my story, and he took ten minutes of his time to check my AC level to see if anything was in there. He hooked up his gadget and released pressure/air and nothing cold came out, no refrigerant, no nothing…just a lil weak cloud of wet air. I was peaved… I change my rating to one star. Call around get second and third opinions regarding rates and possible problems. But yeah, you might have to “bring it in” but could also save you a small fortune. They’ve lost my trust. You may get accurate labor estimates BUT they may not be for the correct problem. Feel me?

Horrible service! They were better years ago when they had 2 of their best employees. Since they left its been a mess and the owner gotten worse since then. I came for an oil change around 10am. Was told they wasn't open and to come back in an hour. I told them to call me when they open because the female employee seemed indecisive about when they will open. I then received a call at 2pm! They can't keep mechanics cause the owner don't want to pay his employees. I know this cause when I arrived the next day his mechanic was ranting about money! Owner stated he'll charge me cheaper for coming the following day cause they took forever to open and 2pm didn't fit into my time frame. When I arrived the next day he changed his price! Also another customer was there an 2 different employees quoted him 2 different prices & that customer ranked about why we as black people do that to each other. Another customer was there but left cause they stated they charge too high! I like supporting black owned businesses but that don't mean I'll tolerate disrespect. I support black owned businesses with great customer service. Quoted me 20 minutes for an oil change, but took 1.5 hours. Also I had my own oil & filter. I was the 1st there and was the only person there for most of the 1.5 hours while I was there. Never again! I'll found another black owned business to support.

My experience with TZ Automotive was great! I had a major car repair that would take several hours. I did not have anyone to pick me up, so that I wouldn't have to wait there while my car was being repaired. The manager was pleasant to do business with; he went as far as providing me an Uber ride to my sister's house while work was being done. I also was provided an Uber ride to pick my car up after service was completed. All businesses have room for improvement, for TZ Automotive, it would be more of a professional approach with customer service via the phone and a better atmosphere/cleanliness in the waiting area. Job well done!!! Prices are also competitive. I will continue to do business with TZ Automotive and I recommend the business to others.

Absolutely Horrible Experience — Avoid at All Costs! If I could give zero stars, I would. TZ Automotive is by far the worst mechanic shop I’ve ever dealt with. The owner/mechanic is not only completely unprofessional but also downright disgusting in demeanor. He clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing — he failed to install a part I paid for correctly and ended up messing up the internal workings of my car. Instead of taking responsibility, he was rude and dismissive. Now I’m left dealing with even more repairs because of his negligence. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. You’re better off fixing your car yourself than trusting TZ Automotive with it.

If I could give them a ZERO rating I would. Came here March 2025 to get both front and back breaks plus front and back rotors. I purchased my own rotors and breaks from autozone. Dropped my car off and picked it up same day at closing time. Drove it home with a light squeak. Thought the squeak maybe because they're new. After about a week the squeak was still there. Couldn't get back as quick as I hoped but today the squeak sounds like when I initially brought it to TZ Automotive. When I looked at the rotors the front ones are shiny and the back are rusted out. When I brought my car back to get an understanding, the 1st gentleman that approached my car agreed that the back breaks were not new and for me to go inside and talk to the guy inside. The 2nd guy I talked to was the owner and the one who actually did my breaks and rotors. He said he did them both and the reason my back rotors are rusted is because it was sitting in the rain. My car doesn't sit for days. I work and travel. So I asked why my front ones don't look the same. His reply was, "I'm not going to do you like that. I can't take your stuff back and get the money because I don't have the receipt." I let him know that the other gentleman even said they weren't new. He just kept repeating, I'm not going to do you like that." I've taken photos and showed another mechanic and they agreed that my back rotors were not done. I paid TZ Automotive over $300 just for my car alone. I took 2 cars up there and to be honest both weren't done like he said. Plus I recommended them to my coworkers. I will definitely make sure I let them all know to find somewhere else to go. Now I'm going to have to fork out more money because breaks are a very serious issue to have when it comes to a car. Please if you can don't waste your money here. They lie and don't take accountability for what they do wrong.

WORSE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Went last week to get my cv axel changed. I noticed when I drove off the car was stalling & it never did that before ! I went back and spoke with the manager. I ask the manager will I I lose any transmission fluid when changing the axel and he said yes and told me I would have to pay $400 to get it serviced. Sir !!!!!! Why would you put my axel on without informing me of the lost fluid from my transmission. Now my transmission is slipping ! LEGAL MATTERS ASAP They do half ass job just like the center or your balding head -manager .

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR AND YOUR SAFTEY DONT GO!!!! I went to get my car worked by them and during the job the mechanic never put my fuel connector clip back on. While driving my car just stopped in the middle of the street leaking gas everywhere. I brought it to there attention and they refuse to compensate me for any towing or fixing the problem itself. And they let non mechanics work on your car….. be aware, wouldn’t even let them put air in my tire at this point.
