I had the opportunity to utilize tech 9 automotive repair this past week. Kris is an honesty mechanic that is very knowledgeable about all foreign and domestic vehicles. I usually hate dealing most auto mechanic, because of the up selling or miss diagnosing of your vehicle. Kris repaired my vehicle with great care. Kris is the real deal. Believe the hype. It's tough to find a reliable, responsive (always answered my phone calls), honest (will let you know when he can deliver), and personable mechanic. I was so relieved when he diagnosed and fixed my small evap vacuum leak in only a few hours and at a great price. Kris is my mechanic now.

I had Kris install an engine lighting kit (OEM) in my 2023 Corvette Stingray. Simply put, the work was AMAZING! The installation required quite a bit of interior disassembly and replacement of wiring harnesses. Kris’ attention to detail and meticulous care he took of my vehicle was beyond impressive. He took the time to do it right and treated my car as if it were his own. To say I’m pleased with his work is an understatement. Throughout the installation process he communicated with me through pics and texts, honored his quote and never cut corners. He ensured the work was done correctly and that the vehicle was returned to me in a condition better than I left it. I will definitely be using Tech9 Automotive for future work on my car.

The VERY best mechanic I’ve ever taken my cars to, period! I’ve known The owner Kris for over 38 years , and am proud to be his best friend. Kris has been working on cars since his early teens, including but not limited to all my Porsches, Jaguars, and Maseratis I’ve owned over the years. He has extensive education and knowledge of all types of vehicles. He does fantastic work and has never missed a beat on any cars. Chris is just the best! A dealer quoted me almost $20K for some work that was "needed" on my BMW 4 series. He diagnosed the car and told me exactly what needed to be repaired. I ended up paying less than 1/4 of the price the dealer gave me. He is honest, hard working and gets the job done. I feel safe leaving my car with him, not like the dealer where they always find something wrong. He has worked on other cars that I had and did a fantastic job. Where to begin! Having a 30 year old car, I'm always searching for competent mechanics when some of those "weird" issues pop up. To my surprise, I found Kris at Tech 9 automotive. Turns out, he used to be located on Florida and has since moved to a shop in Gastonia. After checking his website out and some of his reviews, seemed like he specialized in "exotic" or higher end cars, and I've got a 2 door Tahoe. Figured it was worth a shot so I called him up and even though it was after hours and he was out of town on a personal trip, he immediately started talking to me about the potential problem and said he'd love to take a look at it. Fast forward to today and Kris called me every step of the way, and even did more diagnostic work that my paranoid self requested. More than fair prices and I'm excited to work together in the future for a few more nagging issues with my truck. He is a very personable and nice man and I couldn't speak more highly of him. Don't hesitate to reach out to him for all your needs!

On the 4 hour drive home for my sister’s birthday, my car started stalling on the highway. I pulled off and found the closest shop, which happened to be Tech9 in Gastonia. My 2004 Porsche 911 was in need of having the front CV boots changed out due to both outer boots being torn. Call Kris at Tech9 Automotive and he advised me on what was involved and worked me into his schedule within a day. I could not be happier with the outcome. He replaced the inner and outer CV boots and cleaned up the grease mess that in the wheel well area. Further, he provided me pictures of his work and was super informative throughout the process. I have a 2001 ford mustang gt and I found Kris at tech 9 he worked me within a few days of his schedule which was amazing!! It was the throw out bearing which was the problem and he had installed the whole new clutch kit perfectly and professionally! Communication from Kris is top tier when I picked my Mustang up my clutch felt so much better I couldn’t be more relieved! Kris D’agostino I very much recommend!!
