I went into Ted Wiens today to get tires only tires. Well the girl that helped me i didn't get her name , I told her I only wanted tires and there was no need for anything more . Well she tried giving me ones I did y want cuz they cost more and I told her was there anything less expensive, I was there like 8 months earlier and only paid like close to 200 dollars but not quit that much. Well cheap ones were almost 300 now. I was like OK whatever. I couldn't believe the staff there they were rude and they didn't do what I had asked them to do. I needed only two tires . The tires I needed were in the back but I asked her if they can put the front old ones in the back and put the new ones in the front since it's a front wheel drive car. She said yes they can. I have been going to this place for 6 years now. They always have done that. I am on a fixed income I can't afford 4 tires at once. So I asked how long she said hourand a half so I went to the Wendy's right next door. I come back looked for my car which way on the lift and they had my hood up. I asked her why my hood was up she said cuz they do a check of the engine. I told her I didn't want you doing anything under my hood . I said to her I only want tires there is no need to go under my hood when I came in for tires. Well of course she had a huge list for me that was well over a thousand dollars. I said I have a mechanic for my engine . I said I only needed tires she said OK. So they bring my car around and the new ones are in the back not in the front like I asked . The so called man which looked no older that 25 came out from the back and said he was the manager and said that it is dangerous to put the new tires on the front . I told him that I asked the girl she said no problem and here you guys didn't do as I asked. I have gone there for 6 years and they always done that for me he said it was company policy. He went on to say if I come across a puddle I can hydroplane and that's dangerous. I said the car is a front wheel drive car, so u will leave the old ones where all the power is and the steering is. That's stupid. I said I dont care I want the new ones up front . They refused to do as I asked them to do . They are only out for your money . I feel since I didn't want them doing all the extra work they weren't gonna do anything else I asked them to do . They are cheats and only are out for the old mighty dollar. I would never tell anyone to go there. Customer service SUCKS!. The Ted Wiens was the one on 1201 S. Rainbow Ave. I will never go there again. And if anything goes wrong with my car cuz they were pretty mad I didn't want that list they gave me ,for the work to be done .

Avoid This Mechanic at All Costs! I visited this shop 2-3 times, consistently reporting a leak (I was suspecting oil), but each time they checked the oil, they insisted there was no problem. It took me longer than it should have to seek a second opinion, but when I finally did, the new mechanic found multiple oil leaks that had been developing over the past two years. If you want your car’s issues to be properly identified and resolved, go to H-Tech— they’re just a block away and did a fantastic job. Additionally, I experienced an alarming mix-up with my partner's car with Ted Weins; they confused it with someone else's, which raises serious doubts about their reliability and service quality. Save yourself the hassle and choose a more competent mechanic - like H-Tech down the street!

I took my Chrysler 300 in for work, that needed to be done. In doing so, they were able to find problems that had arisen, after fixing other problems. Once brought to their attention, they bent over backwards to help me. Even though the problems were beyond their control. They tried to help out the best they could. The problem was when I called they gave me a price of 75 dollars to do a synthetic oil change. I was really happy about that. But when it ended up he said it was $120 something. I said what happened to the $75. He explained that they must have picked up the last time I paid and that's what they said it was going to be. I think they should have honored my request that it was going to be 75. The work was done okay and they didn't try to say I need it all kinds of things so that was good. I'm disappointed in the cost of getting a synthetic oil change at being the price they charged me.

I took my car to Ted Wiens after another shop didn’t fix it completely. They found that the previous shop, Motor City Auto had put two extra quarts of oil in my car. This may have caused the damage. Ted Wiens fixed my car quickly and it didn’t cost a fortune. Cesar did an excellent job explaining all the problems in detail. He was clear on how to fix it and the price. We couldn’t have asked for better service! My dad, brother and I are very pleased! Thank you.

I took truck in because check charging system light came on I paid for testing and put payment for alternator on credit card. I left and check charging system light came back on. I went back. the manager said it was not the alternator. I left again and the light came back on. I took it back again. the manager said it was not the alternator again. so I went to auto zone they checked it and said it was voltage regulator issues so I went back to ted wiens and the manager wanted me to pay more money for further testing. so I took it to a dealership and it was the alternator so I had it fixed correctly now it runs fine. now the manager of ted wiens voided the warranty on their incorrect alternator and expects that I'm going to pay for it. I think the manager of ted wiens should have done a thorough inspection after I was already in 2,000 dollars and admitted it was the alternator and honored the warranty.

I went to Ted Wiens on Rainbow to ask them if they would mount on my mini cooper some new rims and new tires. I didn’t buy nothing from them instead I bought everything on line, and they welcome me very kindly and put my new rims and Whell on my car with a big smile!!! Thank you very much. I'm glad the service was done, but finding out later that the parts replaced in my car were not OEM and had a 100% - 300% mark up over OEM was very disappointing. Another disappointing thing was that after spending over $2,000 in repairs, the diagnostic fees were still included. I understand owning and operating a business, but many shops remove the diagnostic fee when services are done at that shop. The good thing is that I learned a lot from this transaction and will get a second or third opinion in the future. There should also some options about receiving the parts taken from a customers vehicle, and the parts put into the customers vehicle.

these folks have been really good to me in the last three or four years that I’ve been coming there both to the rainbow location in the Fort Apache location. The prices are fair. The mechanics are honest. They do tire rotations for free. Tesla charges $65 and Costco charges 25 with your $65 membership. I have a Tesla model Y All around good folks

Arrived very close to 5 pm Thurs 09-18. Got there as fast as I could going 45 mph on a spare tire. Greeted by Edgar who welcomed me and listened carefully. They had been expecting me since Chris over at Ted Wiens on Cheyenne had called and reserved a tire for me. They got me right in, removed the spare and put it back in the trunk. Put on the new tire and finished just at closing time 5:30. Fast, friendly service. Great price for late in the day, emergency service tire and labor. Got to meet Darik the store manager who was kind, knowledgeable and professional and got me back on the road for my 5 hour drive home. Both Darik and Edgar were courteous and still smiling even though their day had started at 7 am. I am so extremely grateful they did not turn me away for one reason or another but stayed a little late to resolve my problem! Thank you!!

They refuse to give a price quote over the phone for brakes and when I get here tell me I need pads and rotors which is upwards of $1,000. And that was an hour sitting here waiting now I have to wait for my alignment which is a lifetime alignment that is the only plus. Only come for a lifetime alignment if you're keeping your car for a few years ... I called back Big O Tires and they quoted $606 out the door ....

I drive past Ted Wiens daily and have never needed their service, so I stopped by today to perform a smog test. I was surprised to find a clean and professional establishment. I spoke with Edgar Cifuentes, Customer Service Relationship Manager, who was advised of my visit. Edgar was personable and professional. He advised me that there was coffee and water for my convenience , while I wait for the smog test to be completed. Upon completing the test, Edgar advised me that there may be issues with my bushings and recommended a review. I will review this at a later date and thank him. I would recommend Ted Wiens for your auto maintenance based upon how personable and professional i was greeted.
