If you receive a pull tab promotion in mail don't waste your time seeing if your a winner. They check the numbers on the on a board displayed. Even though your pull tab shows your a winner 1,000. You get i12 head phone instead. Complete trash. If I was in the market to buy a car, i wouldn't come t9 your dealership

My vehicle failed inspection for a nail in the tire sidewall. It's still under warranty, so I called Banister to set up an appointment to get the tire swapped. AI said they had a 1:30 appointment available. Dropped the vehicle off and ran some errands. Came back at 3:30 and they hadn't touched it. Waited in the lobby. Finally saw it was on the lift at 4:30, done at 5. Not sure what the point of a "1:30" appointment is.

Dropped my vehicle off for drivetrain repair (damage was very audible). Vehicle was returned with “no issues found”. This place was a waste of time and money. Recommend going elsewhere.

Let me start off by saying this might be lengthy but worth the read. I had an emergency repair (pouring fuel about a gallon per mile) that was needed with my 2018 Ram 2500 (Diesel). I didn’t purchase my truck at Banister, however, I have had a couple of my Dodge vehicles serviced here. Lindsay (Service Advisor) was able to get me in that same day even though I was a walk in service and Donnie (Service Tech) was able to get right to work diagnosing the problem (faulty fuel rail pressure sensor). They worked quickly with the parts dept to get the correct part ordered and in the shop within a couple days whereas nationally the part was back ordered for others. The team that Banister has working in service is the epitome of excellence and what dealerships should strive to deliver in customer service all the time for customers to gain repeat and maintain a high reputation!

Buyer beware. My experience at Banister Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Hampton Roads was very disappointing. They advertise teaser prices to get you in the door, but once you’re there, the price changes quickly. You’re told that you must “qualify” for multiple rebates to get the advertised price, and then additional costs are added on. I was looking at a 2025 Dodge Durango that was marketed at $30,750, but after taxes, freight, and dealer fees, the price jumped to nearly $40,000. On top of that, they still have to push add-ons like GAP insurance, maintenance packages, and paint protection, which further inflated the cost. The pricing felt misleading, and the final number was nowhere close to what was advertised. Be very cautious and make sure you fully understand all qualifications, fees, and add-ons before committing to anything here.

DO NOT PURCHASE A NEW VEHICLE FROM BANSITER DEALER. Here’s my experience: I’m George from Fort Lee, VA. I emailed the Banister dealer to configure my car and asked Mr. Robert for the price of the Jeep I built. He sent an invoice for $66,500, and we scheduled a meeting for Saturday at 12:00 PM to discuss the details. On Saturday at 9:00 AM, while I was at church, Banister called to remind me of the appointment and left a text and a voice message because I did not answer. After church, I dealt with a family emergency and completely forgot about the appointment with the dealer. Around noon, I received a call from Banister, who said that if I purchased the vehicle that day, I would receive a $10,000 gift card. This sounded unbelievable, so I contacted my wife. She expressed doubt but mentioned that the call was recorded. I then called Banister to verify the offer. The Jeep manager told me, "If you are going to purchase today, we will give you a $2,000 discount." I agreed to go in to secure the discount. However, when I arrived, they said, "Oh, sorry, we meant if you're going to purchase today, not to order." They were fully aware that I was placing an order for a Jeep Rubicon X, as I had built it via email. It was clear they were manipulating the situation. They promised me the discount upon delivery instead. Despite their dishonesty, I decided to continue. Mr. Robert offered me a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X for $66,600. My wife saw the price and told me, "No way, that price is too high." I then informed Mr. Robert and the sales manager that I would consider it and return later. They subsequently lowered the price by $200 to $65,400, including a military discount. After I paid a $500 down payment, Mr. Robert took both paper copies I provided, but only gave me a receipt for the deposit. I had to leave quickly due to a family emergency. When I called him later, Mr. Robert apologized for his behavior and emailed me the receipt after I called and texted him several times. On the same day, the Deacon dealer contacted me and offered an outdoor price of $63,500 for an identical Rubicon X. I reached out to Mr. Robert to request a price adjustment. However, he ignored my emails, texts, and phone calls. When I called the sales manager, he was rude and mocked me when I asked for the $2,000 discount, or I would cancel the deal. The sales manager requested the invoice from the other dealer, which I provided, but he also asked for the dealer's name and additional information. I refused to disclose that. He then called me a liar and, when I asked for a refund of my $500 deposit, he declined, saying I would lose it. To Banister, I recommend taking a close look at the Deacon dealer's invoice. You can also contact them for confirmation. My advice is this: you clearly lack an understanding of respect and customer service. I hope you learn from your mistakes. I have refunded $500. I do not recommend this dealership at all. George At the end of the story, I decided to keep my old car, LOL. Merry Christmas, everyone.

Thursday the 15th of Jan 2026, found a vehicle on Banisters web site for a Certified Preowned 2025 Nissan Altima, 9000 miles for $18,800. I contacted Banister and told them we were interested in this vehicle on the link provided. Received phone calls and text messages asking when we could come in to look at the car. We told them Friday morning between 9-10. They told us that they set us up a "VIP" appointment. I ask if the vehicle was the Hampton location and available, they assured me it was. Arrived at 9:45 Friday morning and was informed that the vehicle was no longer available, someone came last night and got the vehicle. I was not pleased at all. Was offered another vehicle same make model but was a 2022, 59000 miles and $22,000. They are deceptive, lying, deceiving and untrustworthy. I purchased my last 6 cars from that same location when it was POMOCO, never again will I step foot on that lot.

Do not do business here (BIAS AGAINST PEOPLE OF COLOR). I took my 21 Scatpack Widebody Charger (paid off) for a multi point inspection and oil change. 1. I dropped it off 1030am and never received a call or update all day until I finally called near the end of the day around 3pm. When I did call, I did not get an answer until about after the 12th call, they finally answered and have the nerve to have an attitude with me for calling multiple times. 2. Soon as I walked into the office no greetings at all, zero. All white women sitting in the front and none of them introduced themselves or welcomed me into the business. I'm a black man. This place is very bais and will disrespect black people. 3. When I do finally get my vehicle (21 Scatpack Widebody $40k vehicle paid off) they parked it in the back where the damaged cars were staged. Made me walk all the way into the back of the lot to retrieve my vehicle. 4. My service advisor was LINDSAY GIVENS. Need a lesson on customer service and greetings. If you don't like your job do better in life, if you don't like black people do not work in Hampton Virginia. Mind you I'm a outstanding citizen within my community and this is probably the 2nd bad review I ever left. THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW. I have all the proof, call logs, pictures where my vehicle was left as well as my voice recorder that I always have on me when dealing with new businesses. Banister if you knew better you would do better, hire better people before you lose your entire high-end clientele; not everyone is as patient as me when being treated with this level of blatant disrespect. Be safe out there people.
