I visited my mother today at The Pines. This was my first experience with this facility and was pleasantly surprised on how nice the staff were, from check-in, nurses, aides, director and all support staff. The facility is old but it is clean and well maintained. My mother is pleased with her care so far.

My mom was admitted to the pines about a month ago. She says the staff treats her with dignity, and respect. The food is the correct temperature. This morning I was there before the housekeeping to escorted mom to an appointment, the place had a strong urine smell, it is the first time I have ever smelled anything but clean on the 2nd floor. She had her PT before she left this morning for her appointment. She is happy which makes me happy.

I recently visited The Pines at Utica to see a loved one, and I was truly impressed by the care, kindness, and professionalism of the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The facility is clean, well-kept, and has a peaceful feel that immediately put me at ease.
The staff go above and beyond—not only in meeting medical needs but also in making sure each resident feels seen and cared for as an individual. It’s clear they take pride in creating a supportive and compassionate environment. My loved one spoke highly of the nurses and aides, and I could see firsthand how well they’re treated.

My friend was here for an extended time after not being able to return to her previous care facility. The staff was really kind and always took my friend’s concerns seriously. Specially, I would like to mention the social worker, Hanna. She worked on getting my friend a new place to live and never gave up on her. I also would like to recognize the 4th floor unit manager, Reece. She was very knowledgeable and caring to my friend and the other residents. One complaint would be the food. Not great, but that can be fixed. Thank you Pines!
