Having to ride around town with my child in this July heat had been unbearable to say the least! On top of that getting the run around from the dealer I purchased my car from...only added to my frustration!!! However The Shop of Memphis fixed ALL of that today...the staff was friendly and thorough in diagnosing and repairing my car. They communicated with me throughout the process and the repair was reasonably priced. I'm so thankful my co-worker referred me to them...I will definitely go to them again for my car repair needs!

Wonderful place. The guys were super knowledgeable and friendly. They have a text based system that allows you make notes and comments of work being currently done. They also give you this awesome checklist of work they suggest needing to be done! Kind of an hierarchy of maintenance with cost and potential timeframes. My car was also nearly 30 years old. Many mechanics do not work on older cars because they cannot diagnose problems without a computer. These guys did and they did it perfectly. Recommend. Recommend.

Andrew gave me options on the repairs needed, stayed in communication with me during the repairs, and took extra time when I picked up my vehicle to show me the work that was done along with work that I may look out for in the future. We are regular customers of The Shop of Memphis yet they never fail to amaze me with their friendliness, courtesy, professionalism and knowledge. I witnessed them today taking gentle care of an elderly customer and her car. They assured her the small correction they made on her car would keep her going until the next oil change and they performed this small fix with no charge to her. I can’t recommend these folks to enough people. They are truly wonderful.

I started using The Shop based on a referral. The staff was really nice and not only listened to each and every one of my concerns but documented them for individual review. They can notify and authorize work online (via text, email, etc.) which is very convenient. I now take all of my cars there and recommend them to anyone that asks. The charge for the repair was comparable to what a dealer might charge, but the service was top-notch and fast, so I am super happy. My daughter was driving through Memphis at night and the water pump went out. We had her car towed to The Shop, just based on reviews. The Shop seemed like it might be priced a little higher than other mechanics, but it also seemed really well-organized and professional, and we wanted peace of mind. Staff were really helpful and understanding of our out-of-town situation. We got a quote for the work by text, and approved it that way too. They had a simple system for picking up the car after hours. I was also impressed that they told me how to use the warranty (get a refund) for paying a mechanic local to me should a problem come up with the repair.

Squeezed me in on short notice to get torn up wheel studs replaced that I found after another shop had messed them up. They also worked with the other shop in another city to get the payment from them. This is the only mechanic shop in Memphis that I use if I can help it! They are honest and communicate really well and do great work! Highly, highly recommend!

The gentleman who helped me was very caring. I called and explained my steering wheel was shaking when I drove and asked how much it was for a diagnostic. He told me he wouldn’t do any work before letting me know the cost and he squeezed me in same day/ short notice. They checked my car quickly and told me it was my tire causing the shaking and didn’t charge me anything for the diagnostic. He didn’t have the tires in stock but was kind enough to tell me exactly what was wrong, even printing it out for me to take elsewhere. In my opinion this was very honest and caring. 3 other places were going to charge me $100 plus just to look at the car before any work. Thank you for the kind service and I will return for future work.
