This shop would not warranty defective Steer tires saying the tire pressure was low. The proper air pressure for these Steer tires is 100.5 PSI. NOT 120psi like they said. They are 16 ply rated at 7160 lb at a maximum 120 PSI. Each tire only carries 6000 pounds if you divide 7160 lb by 120 PSI it gives you 59.6 pounds for every 1 PSI. Since each tire carries 6000 pounds that gives you 100.5 PSI for a properly inflated Tire. There for the tires were not under- inflated As I stated 100.5 PSI is proper air pressure at 70 degrees ambient temperature according to Michelin and Goodyear L&I table. Tire pressure drops 2 lb for every 10 degrees ambient temperature changes. This morning was 19 degrees so that changes the proper cold tire pressure to 90.3 PSI. Also they did not use a Master tire gauge to check my tires they could have been off as much as 10 psi. I do have a certified Master tire gauge that I used this morning to check the tire pressure it was 92 Psi which makes it well above the proper cold PSI. I believe this tire shop will use any means necessary to get out of warranties. Update to reply from tire world. You have obviously got wrong information. My truck does not have tpms. I have certified weight tickets for every load this truck has ever hauled never once has steer axle been over 12,260 pounds making psi correct. Go back and read my review I have explained it in detail. Also we went around you guys and dealt with continental tire directly and explained every thing. They agreed 100% and warranted those tires. It appears your shop is not schooled in proper tire weights and pressure and temperature

I visited two other truck tire shops only to be unable to be helped. I stopped at Tire World and was immediately waited on. They rotatated and balanced the drive tires and installed new steer tires at a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend Tire World to anyone needing truck tire work in SLC

Zac at Tire World Truck Center is the man!! Always quick with the responses, making sure I get the right tires, they get delivered quickly, or installed in a timely manner if it's a big piece of equipment. He makes tire buying easy for us!

our salesman Mario is awesome! He goes above & beyond what's asked. We had an urgent job & Mario stepped up and pressed the tires himself, Tire World's lucky to have him!

I will never go here again the next time I'm in Salt Lake City needing a tire repair. there all in on the scamming there customers not only the sales person owner he also has his workers in on the scam. I went in for two steer tires and they would not let me see the tires until they were on the rims. I was waiting and waiting until a tall old Mexican man started talking to me and took me for a tour of the place for what reason I did not know at the time until I got back to my truck and seen the small steers they put on my rims compared to the Bridgstones they took off i was like what is this and the owner was playing it off on the phone to busy to talk to me. So I finally talk to him and I knew there would have been more of a problem if I told him to take them off because how could he just do what he did and think he could get away with b it unless he knew something that I didn't do i took it as a sorry business loss and moved on. Just stay away if your from out of town. Two words for them desperate losers.

Wow! What an amazing staff here. We called ahead looking for trailer tires. First of all, you probably won't find a better price in the area. While they were mounting the tires on the new rims we brought with us, we began to talk to the staff about issues we were having with our truck. We also had new steer shocks with us and needed to have them put on. They got us in immediately. Continuing on the truck issues, several of the staff looked at the tire wear issues and told us what are issues were. Over the past few years of chasing down this issue and every shop telling us it was our king pin bushings, we were completely frustrated. We have been told that it was our king pin bushings, so we replaced them. A year later, we were told the same thing so we replaced our entire axle, including king pins and bushings. A month after that, we were told it was our king pin bushings. Really? Here at Tire World, they checked our king pin bushings, which are fine. What was found is that we needed centering sleeves. No other shop ever mentioned centering sleeves. In addition, the staff at tire world showed and explained the entire issue and reason. It made complete sense. They are without doubt, very knowledgeable, patient and helpful and we will return.

We have used Tire World for a couple years now and have never had any issues. The staff is very respectful and helpful. I have been in a bind and needed repairs “now” and they have always been able to accommodate that and get our trucks safely back on the road. Thanks to all the staff at Tire World for making the roads a little safer for us all. keep up the hard work!

The criteria I use to judge a business are product (or service) quality, customer service and price. And that is also the order of importance to me. Tire World failed, and failed epically, in all three categories in my recent experience there. I brought four just repainted, two-piece wheels and four brand new tires to have them solid-filled with a catalyzed material. The tires and wheels were separated when delivered and I was quoted $45.00 per wheel. Quick math says the bill should be $180, plus tax; call it $200. Imagine my surprise when I’m presented a bill for $330 when I picked them up; fully 65% more than the quoted price!. “Well, we charged for tubes and demounting and mounting…" Realize though, they saw the wheels and tires at the time of the quote, and chose not to mention those (major) details. They also had my phone number and could have called me, but didn't. And note that the wheels and tires were separate. All the demounting had been done before the wheels and tires were even brought there, so they charged for services they simply didn’t do. And to make matters worse, they slopped the filling material over the wheels and tires, and they scratched the newly painted wheels. It took hours (plural) to remove the fully cured material, prep the wheels and repaint them; all due to their carelessness!. I think most businesses try and offer customers quality products and services at reasonable prices. Then they back that up with solid customer service. They also handle the customer's property with care and respect. Unfortunately some companies, such as Tire World, treat their customers as resources to be exploited. I try hard to avoid businesses like that, and recommend you do as well. Needless to say, I’ll never go back to any Tire World location… Note: I take my reviews, both positive and negative, very seriously. I try to be absolutely factual in describing details, and fair when offering my opinions. If a business doesn’t like it, maybe they should look in the mirror at their practices and policies.

Proudly recommend! Great repair shop! Knowledgeable and friendly people. Easy to do business with. We called late afternoon after having a blow out on our RV traveling thru Utah. They had the tires we needed, they even stayed past your closing time to help us. They even rotated the spare and checked all the other tires. I can't say enough good things about this place. Thank you for your genuine help and we'll see you next time we drive thru.
