I brought my car in to diagnose no sound coming from the right side speakers. They replaced the amplifier and all was well. The next day, I noticed the speaker casing has cracked. It is obvious they broke it and did not say anything about it. My car is in mint condition and it is impossible to NOT notice this. If they would do this with something so small, no doubt they would pawn off their mistakes on an even larger issue. Very dishonest people, I would not recommend.

This is my first time back at Tommy's European Service & Repair since the new management, and I wanted to rewrite my review. I had a 5-star review before ... and five stars they remain: I recently had the steering rack on my Mercedes repaired at Tommy’s European Service & Repair, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Mick, the manager, was outstanding from start to finish — professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on getting the job done right. There was a small snag during the process, but Mick handled it quickly and made sure everything was resolved without delay. He kept me informed, stood behind the work, and delivered exactly what he promised. It’s rare to find a shop that combines expert European car knowledge with top-tier customer service at a great price, but this place does just that. I’ll absolutely be back for future service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any Mercedes owner. Thanks again, Mick and team! 👏🏼

I took my Mercedes to your shop and you replaced the charcoal canister on my 2015 Cla 250 and the check engine light came back on 3 times. I dropped it back off to you 3 times to fix it. The final time I thought it was fixed but 500 miles later the light came back on. I almost just gave up at this point. But I just dropped it off today at another shop to give it one more try and they said you guys didn't plug the hose up to the canister. So that's why the check engine light was still on. Now I have to pay these guys to take parts off the car again to get to the hose because it's in a tight area. Very disappointing this happened paid you guys almost 1500.00 dollars then have to pay them 750 to put the hose on that you missed when replacing the canister. That shop said if it was them that made a mistake like this they would refund for the labor I messaged you guys and crickets ever since.

I have been bringing my Volkswagen GTI here for years. They are a family run honest company. They've also sent me home when there was not actually something wrong with my car, or the problem could be solved on my own. The owner said he won't replace a part that isn't broken. I really appreciate them, they're a gem in Plano. Thank you for keeping my girl running smoothly! I could not go into the Volkswagen dealer in Richardson or McKinney without them finding $1000 minimum of repairs on my car. The red flag, their sales department was also really desperate to buy my car every time. It's a manual and a niche of people still really want those. If it was that "broken", why would they want it so badly? An oil leak that they quoted me $960 to repair, once I cleaned my engine bay, magically disappeared, and hasn't come back for 6 years now. What really happened was whoever changed my oil last spilled some oil down the side of my engine, and the dealership thought that was an oil leak. Nope, no more greedy dealerships. So overjoyed that I found a local business to support like Tommy's. I have also recommended them to all my coworkers who drive European cars.

This is by far one of the most pleasant experiences as far as having maintenance and repairs done to my Ms Fancy aka GLE350. First… Expect to be greeted by the sweetest smile given by Ms Sandy at the front desk. Then, Jeff & Jason and the others are a dream to work with. Even though I absolutely hate dealing with car stuff, I only want to gas and go! But coming here has been straightforward and upfront. No surprise fees or ridiculous over charging. As a single woman I can trust this shop to be honest and fair. I will continue to come here and refer others!

I found Tommy’s Euro Service and Repair through Google and the reviews seemed consistent in pointing to this business’ quality customer service. My experience was no exception. I brought my 2021 Volkswagen Atlas 2.0T to Tommy’s for multiple heavy maintenance issues. Reese and Zac and the entire team were incredible! The services performed haven’t quite fixed all the complex issues going on with the vehicle (it’s a POS VW, not indicative of the quality of mechanical services performed… it’s a machine and sometimes it takes more than one crack at it to completely fix) but I was able to quickly return my Atlas the next day, was provided a free loaner, and charted a pragmatic path forward. Despite the relatively MINOR inconvenience of having to bring the car back a day after picking it up, the team is very helpful and reassuring. They have earned my loyalty for all future routine maintenance and inevitable future repairs. The 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on their work is also a huge game changer…. The plastic water pump that VW in their almighty wisdom decided to use on this engine was replaced at 50,000 miles by the local VW dealer, it failed again right at a year later and VW/dealer wouldn’t honor the freshly expired one year parts warranty. So- Tommy’s has the manufacturer beat and uses a higher quality replacement part. While no one likes to drop $6,000 on repairs, I’m glad it’s being spent with a local small business that stands by their work. …and hopefully now that I am a customer, future work won’t be at this magnitude. From a pragmatic viewpoint- Job well done!

I brought my 2019 MINI Countryman in for front and rear brake service (pads and sensors), which required removing all four wheels. When the car was returned, the lug hardware was clearly over-torqued, raising serious concerns about damage to the studs and future serviceability. On top of that, the shop lost the original wheel-lock hardware. The vehicle was delivered back to me with three wheel locks missing, and their attempted “fix” was installing a BMW-style 32P/16 anti-theft wheel lock, which does not belong on a 2019 MINI Countryman and was never part of the vehicle’s original setup. This caused multiple trips back and forth and a significant waste of my time. Ultimately, they were unable to properly remediate the issue they created, demonstrating poor attention to detail and a lack of familiarity with European wheel hardware. This was an avoidable and unacceptable situation. I do not recommend this shop
