It's definitely not a shop you call. I called in hopes they could help me figure out what was wrong with my vehicle. After explaining a bit of info on the vehicle, a very short rude reply, " Yea you can have the Dealer guys figure that out." That concluded the call. Maybe phone calls get annoying. Never the less if I wanted to take it to a dealer, I would have. A simple "No here is a local shop that can help you out" would of been an appropriate answer.

I had 2 broken door actuators that needed to be fixed for my 2007 Honda Pilot. I gave Tonys Autowerks a call for a quotation. I spoke to Tony and he gave me a quote using NAPA parts instead of the original Honda parts. I asked how much would the original Honda parts cost and he told me that he would get back to me. True enough, he did call me back and gave me the right estimate for the original parts vs. NAPA parts. I went ahead to schedule an appointment with them to have my door actuators fixed (Front door, driver's side and back door, driver's side). I dropped off my car and Tony was there to take my car in. He even offered to drop me off. He told me that it would take a few hours to have it fixed. I received a call from him at around 12 PM that my car is ready. When I came to the shop I made a quick inspection and found out that the back door, driver's side actuator wasn't working. I showed Tony the defective door. He thought that both front door actuators were defective instead. He apologized and told me "I will definitely fix this. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you." I came back at around 4 PM. The door actuator was fixed but Tony noticed another problem with the back door latch. It wouldn't close the door properly unless you used some force. He told me that he didn't have enough time to fix it and offered to fix it for FREE sometime the following week once he ordered the necessary parts. Not expecting him to call back, I was pleasantly surprised that he called me back to arrange for an appointment to fix it. I came in and he repaired it for FREE as he promised. His wife even offered me some donuts and coffee while waiting for the repairs. I've never seen customer service recovery like this in an automobile shop ever! Thank you Tony Autowerks for the awesome service! I would definitely recommend your shop to my friends and family!

Tony and his crew were SO helpful when we discovered our Subaru's radiator was starting to show signs of going. He was reasonably priced and turned it around in rock star time. It's been a few weeks now and the car is doing great. Thanks Tony!

Tony is amazing in diagnosing and trouble shooting automotive problems. From a mother's perspective, Tony ensured that my daughter's automobile was properly repaired while her husband was away. My husband, an Aerospace engineer, later reviewed the invoice and agreed that the price for parts and labor was fair. We fully endorse Tony's Autowerks for your auto needs.

Tony is the BEST! I trust his recommendations and he takes really good care of my car. He noticed my safety check expired and he renewed it without even telling me!

Highly recommend Tony's. Been to a lot of mechanics in my life, and was really impressed with how helpful, courteous and professional they were. Came in for a safety inspection and instead failing me for top break light, like most shops will do, they helped me do it right then and there. Replaced a couple small bulbs, didn't overcharge me and sent me on my way and 20 minutes. 10/10 wrenches, would definitely come back!

Took my car to Tony for a new clutch, and couldn't be happier. Tony wrote out and sent me an estimate, and was extremely easy to schedule with. He was able to fix a few other long - standing get issues with my car as well. He was great at communicating through both text messages and talking over the phone. Overall great experience, fair pricing, and quick work. Will definitely be going back to him for future work on my vehicle.

Called Tony to make an appointment for my Mustang GT that kept throwing a code for bad 02 sensor. Even after I changed them out it still came back on no matter what I tried to do.Tony took the car for a couple of days and ran some test on it and did some work on my cars ground wires. So far the car is running great with no codes. But Tony also recommended that I change out the catalytic converter of which I'm in the process of doing. Tony Is a very nice guy and he listened to what I was experiencing with the car. Definitely will use him again. Thank you to Tony and all his staff.for being helpful and professional.

Tony is so honest and knowledgeable! He diagnosed an issue with my Toyota Tacoma and came up with a much better solution than the $800 repair the dealership was insisting on. I recommend him to all my friends!

I was getting work done at Tony's for 3 years. Before a PCS we put $2500 worth of work into our vehicle which was taken back 3 separate times within a month to fix issues related to the original issue, only to move and have to have all the work redone after being told the problem was fixed. Very disappointed and heart broken that the company we thought we could trust only managed to what feels like scammed us in the end. I suggest to stay away if you want work you can trust done to your vehicle.

Best shop on Oahu hands down. Tony’s is always fair and honest, tells you what to fix and what to skip. Has done all kinds of work on my old Honda van and has always been able to help out last minute, get things done quick and keep my Keiki safe.

Tony is the absolute man! No better, more knowledgeable, or honest mechanic exists on island. I have never been a trusting person, but I have never had a single reservation leaving my vehicle with Tony and his team of professionals. Tony has done multiple repairs for me and never have I had to take it back for any reason. If you’re experiencing automotive issues, Tony can resolve them. Tony is a great mechanic and even better guy.

Unsafe and mechanically not competent. I try to never give a bad review. They performed work on my 2000 Toyota RAV4, straightforward maintenance, timing belt, valve cover gasket and engine mounts. Car drove fine when I brought it in and now vibrates like crazy, misfires and they broke parts of the engine that were fine beforehand. They left MAJOR suspension bolts hanging loose, engine mount nut missing, intake hoses disconnected and not secured properly, throttle cable bolts were finger tight, wires misrouted, oil leaking from a $4 gasket that should have been changed while replacing the timing belt, broke both upper and lower timing cover mounting points, reinstalled the alternator incorrectly, failed to tell me there was oil in the spark plug cylinder (in order to save me money!) now I have to remove the valve cover again that they just replaced so I can reseal the valve tubes and it even appeared like they tried to cover up the alternator wires with plastic conduit to hide the alternator mounting issue when they had installed it incorrectly. I gave them a second chance to “make it right” after the oil leak showed up right after changing the timing belt but that led to them breaking the timing covers and not installing the bolt there, cus it’s fine, as well as reinstalling the alternator wrong. My bad for expecting the mechanic to look at a Toyota manual, read the instructions and torque specs for bolts and mounting hardware and to make it right. $1700 later I need to replace the cheap motor mounts they installed so that the car will not vibrate like crazy, I reinstalled the alternator tension mount properly, secured the loose bolts, hoses and suspension components, will have to remove the valve cover myself or pay someone else to reseal the leaky spark plug tubes and replace the timing cover which is basically almost the same as changing the timing belt in hours. Tony bought me the replacement timing covers but couldn’t spring for the cost of a valve cover gasket because he’s “tapped out on the job”. I liked Tony and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt as a small local business owner but his priority of making money seemed to overshadow actually fixing the car properly and competently the first (and second) time so he wouldn’t be tapped out during a job. I am afraid that only time will tell how the timing belt will hold up and I’m sure that I will find a few more surprises when I get in there to repair the repairs. This RAV is new to me but had a very extensive single owner maintenance history except for the timing belt and now I feel as if it has been molested by a mechanic that really didn’t care about my car. The first time my daughter drove the car after the repairs she called me after starting it and asked, “Dad what’s wrong with the car? It’s making all kinds of noises.” So unfortunate. I sincerely hope that Tony is able to rectify his employee problems for his sake and reputation. He has a nice shop and all the tools anyone could ask for but the lack of execution and attention to detail was disturbing and unsafe. Please use your own judgement if considering this “mechanic” shop for your maintenance or repairs. Mahalo for your time in reading this.
